( Disclaimer: Brad Davis is going to be the same age as Peter and them. I know that due to the blip, he aged 5 years but the blip never happened in this and he's already the same age as them with a crush on mj. There are also going to be some characters I made up. <3)
Tony, Steve and Loki eventually found the right form classroom after entering all the wrong ones. They checked their planners again and made sure that the form room in front of them was definitely the right one.
"You guys ready?" Steve asked.
"Yep." Tony replied, determined.
"I guess." Loki mumbled.
Steve opened the door to see the whole class turn to them, including the teacher. They both noticed that their tour guide, Flash was in that class, along with Peter.
great. Tony thought, realising he wouldn't be able to avoid the kid for much longer.
"Oh, hello! I heard that you guys were coming today! I'm your form teacher, Mrs Johnson and this is everyone!" Mrs Johnson gestured to the rest of the class.
"Everyone, these wonderful people are, uhmm.." She leaned over to the register.
"Ryan, Sean and Stanley!" Tony, Steve and the rest of the class exchanged awkward smiles.
Peter noticed that Ryan was the guy he met in the hallway, they made eye-contact for less than a second. Loki smirked, already knowing the tension was about to increase.
"Now lets sit you guys down.. Brad, sit next to Stanley so Ryan can sit next to Eugene."
"It's Flash." Flash retorted.
"Right. Ned, sit next to Betty.. Sean, you sit next to Peter."
Mrs Johnson pointed towards where everyone should be so the 3 new students wouldn't be confused. Everyone eventually moved to where they were supposed to be. Flash and Tony ended up behind Peter and Loki, with Stanley and Brad next to Tony and Flash.
"I'm sure you'll love form time! Now mingle amongst yourselves, I have marking to catch up on."
Flash turned to Tony.
"Well hi again.. Ryan? Is it?"
"Uuh, yeah.." Tony was preoccupied with the fact that Peter was right in front of him and sitting next to LOKI.
"Heh, I know.. Penis Parker is a freak."
"Excuse me?" Tony instantly turned his head to Flash.
"Well you were staring at him, in disgust, right?"
"What? No. I wasn't staring at anyone. But if I was, why in disgust?" Tony asked, the seriousness in his voice increasing.
"Well because he's a pathetic loser, why else?"
Tony stared daggers at Flash.
"Uuh, what?"
"Nothing.." Tony turned to face the front.
So that Flash kid is a douche, got it.
"Soo.. do you like midtown?" Peter asked Loki. He was going to try his best to make conversation.
"Well.. It's.. Interesting, I suppose. Do you like it, Peter?" Loki replied with an eerie smile.
Peter was surprised this new kid remembered his name.
"Well, yeah. The field trips can be cool."
"Field trips you say?"
"Yeah, I'd say they're like, the best thing about the school, in my opinion anyway."
"Well I shall take your word for it, young one." There had been talk of Peter in the tower but Loki never met the boy. Peter seemed nice but a bit awkward.
"Uh, I'm your age." Peter said with a confused tone.
"Pardon?"
"We're the same age."
"Oh! Of course we are! Doesn't take a genius to know that.." Loki replied while nervously chuckling.
Peter didn't know how to react so he let out a small chuckle and faced the front, glancing at Loki time to time. Loki knew that he was acting weird but decided to ignore that. He started to think on what maybe mischievous things he could get up to at Midtown. There were a lot, after all.
Steve was sitting next to Brad, a fairly attractive boy with what seemed to be a good heart.
"Hey! You're gonna have a great time here, bud!"
"Well I hope so.. have we missed anything important? It is quite late in the semester."
"Not much, honestly.. Luckily for you, we haven't been on any major trips this year but we're going to!"
"Oh? Sounds great.." Steve said, interested.
"Hey, uhh, I'm having a party Friday night, parents aren't home.. It's gonna be pretty sick. Wanna come?"
"Me? A party?" Steve remembered that the last time he was like this, he wasn't invited to many get-togethers.
"Yeah! It'll be fun. You in?"
Steve thought about wether or not he was allowed to go to a party. He knew it would ease the team up a bit but he also knew that it could show more of their identity. He was a bit curious of what it would be like going to a teenage party and he was pretty sure he could handle himself and the rest of the team.
"Well, sure."
"Awesome, man!"
Steve really liked Brad, he figured that they could be good friends.
"See anyone you like yet?" Brad chuckled.
"What?" This took Steve by surprise, he was in a bit of a day dream.
"Y'know, we got some hot girls in our school." Brad said, almost proud.
Steve chuckled.
"Well, no. Not yet I suppose."
"Well ya see the girl over there?" Brad pointed towards MJ who was reading.
"Soon she's gonna be mine."
Steve peered over to MJ, not what he was expecting.
"Oh, wow. Are you good friends?"
"For now, yeah"
"Well I'm sure she feels the same way about you."
"Well there's this guy in the way."
"Oh?"
"See that guy?" Brad then pointed to Peter who was still still desperately trying to make conversation with Loki.
"Yeah?" Steve was now intrigued.
"It's so obvious he likes MJ too.. but between you and me, I don't think she wants a guy like him." Brad let out a small chuckle.
Steve was now beginning to second-guess his opinion on Brad.
"And why is that?"
"Trust me, you'll see why."
Steve wish he could say something but he couldn't blow his cover because one guy didn't like Peter.
"Is he also invited to your party?"
"Well I mean pretty much everyone is invited. I don't think he'll be coming though, not after happened last time."
"Uh, what happened?" Steve realised how much he didn't know about Peter's school life. He thought at least Tony would know about all the drama that went on.
"Well there's this hot senior, Liz Allen. He came to hers and Flash started this..well.. Chant thing. It wasn't exactly nice and Peter wasn't seen for the rest of the night."
"Wait, Flash? Flash Thompson?"
"Yeah. The one Ryan is sitting next to. Why? You know him?"
"You could say.."
Clint spent all of form time being heavily embarrassed by Thor who didn't seem to be picking up on the fact that he was being extremely loud. Their form teacher, Mr Owens, wasn't too happy. Aside from Thor being loud, he also heard girls in the class giggling and peering over to his biceps.
"The midgardian ladies do seem rather interested in me Clint." Thor managed to quietly chuckle that comment.
"Yeah, whatever. You'd be so over if I got my guns out."
"Of course." Thor sarcastically snarked, still smiling.
"How'd ya think the others are holdin' up?"
"I'm sure they are doing well. It was rather funny to see Tony get all soft around that spiderling."
"Heh, yeah. He's probably gonna get distracted. Tony has a weird liking to that kid."
"The child is adorable, after all." Thor knew that whenever he said that in front of Peter, it annoyed him. Clint chuckled.
"Well we'll seem em at lunch so it's all good. I'm just worried about your damn brother."
"Loki will be fine, he knows what will happen if he isn't."
"You better hope that's true."
Banner was unfortunately put next to one of the jocks, who wasn't going to give him an easy time.
"So it's your first day and you decided to wear THAT?" The jock, Lance, jokingly asked, pointing at Bruce's figure.
"Uuhm, yes." Bruce wasn't amused.
"So let me guess, you're like some washed up nerd or something?"
Bruce sighed. He knew his tac tic to always remain calm in situations but he was extremely out of his comfort zone.
Natasha heard what was going on. She knew there were going to be jerks like this but she was getting paranoid. She gave Bruce a calming look. Natasha got lucky and was put next to Gwen Stacy, a chill person. They instantly clicked. If only Gwen knew Natasha was a Russian assassin. Doesn't really matter though.
Time Skip
Classes had been interesting. Tony was obviously with Peter in all of the sciences and he admired how good he was for his age. Sometimes he wish he could tell him to stop day-dreaming or keep focused though. Tony had strangely been eyeing his every move and needed to cut it out. He just hoped Peter didn't notice.
Lunch break came around and the avengers reunited after what felt like an eternity.
"Remind me to NEVER sit next to Loki in art again." Clint remarked.
"Oh, come on! That teacher told us to design our best mummy!
"THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU WRAP ME TOILET PAPER!"
Loki smirked and the rest of the group chuckled.
"So, um, it looks like I've been invited to a party." Steve brought up.
Everyone turned to face him.
"A what?" Tony asked, kind of in shock.
"You heard me, a party. Uuhm, Brad Davis? Yeah, his. Well I guess everyone in our grade is invited."
"Well you're not thinking about going, are you?" Banner asked, worried.
"No, no. Obviously not."
Banner sighed in relief.
"Although I did tell him I'd be there."
"WHY?!" Tony aggressively asked.
"Look, I don't know, alright? I just thought that it could boost our moods and I am pretty curious to see what kids get up to these days."
"Midgardian parties are rather interesting." Thor added.
"It's not like there's going to be alcohol! They're far too young for that."
Tony rolled his eyes.
"You really don't know anything about kids, do ya, Capsicle?"
"Well whatever they do, I'm sure we can handle it."
"I seriously can't believe you didn't completely turn down that invite! Aren't you supposed to obedient and noble?" Tony said.
"I agree with Steve." Natasha said.
"Of course you do." Tony snarked.
Natasha groaned.
"Tony, you've been so paranoid and moody lately and I think you could use this as much as we could. We are adults, we won't do anything dumb."
"Technically, we're kids."
"I'm talking about mentally. This would be a good test for us."
"With Nat on this one." Clint said.
Tony turned to Banner.
"Bruce? You can't been with them as well."
"I-I don't know, Tony. We have all been pretty down lately and-"
"What if Hulk wants to join the party?!"
"I've been thinking about it and I honestly think Banner is hulk-free at the moment. Think about it, this serum for me warred off so Banner's must've too." Steve said.
Banner felt stupid for not picking that up.
"I guess there's only one way to test it." Loki said, smirking.
"No. Hulk or no hulk it won't matter, I know how to contain it." Banner said.
"Oh, for the record, I also want to take part in this party." Loki added.
"Zip it, reindeer games." Tony intruded.
"Oh come on Stark, have a little fun, won't you?" Thor encouragingly said.
"Y'know, normally, I'd be saying that to Cap." Tony replied.
"Well you're not. So, you in?"
"Alright, fine, yes, okay." Tony reluctantly said.
"Are you fools forgetting that Shield will have to hear about this arrangement?" Loki asked, making sense.
"I'll ask or tell him. I was the one who brought it up, after all." Steve said, being noble.
"Will the kid be there?" Tony asked.
"Peter? Well, um, it's complicated." Steve hesitantly replied.
"He's rather awkward." Loki added.
"So do you know or not?" Tony asked again.
"Someone is eager." Natasha added, smirking.
"Apparently something happened at another party, something to do with him."
"What?"
"Flash, the kid who showed us round, started an unkind chant, I think."
"Oh yeah, that jerk." Tony said, rolling his eyes.
"It doesn't matter if he's there anyway, not like your his dad or somethin', Stark." Clint added, knowing Tony secretly thought of Peter as his own son.
"Well, duh. Just wondering."
"Hey, isn't that him over there?" Thor asked, pointing at a table.
Peter, Ned and Mj were all eating their lunch.
"Yeah and you should've heard this guy!" Peter exclaimed, talking about Loki.
"Betty and I really hit it off, actually." Ned added.
"Dude, really? I never imagined you guys as a couple but now I can definitely see ittt." Peter replied.
"Trust me, we're made for each other." Ned said, smirking.
"Dorks. Just don't go crying to us if your heart gets broken." MJ added, normally.
"Hey! That won't happen, trust me. Betty is the one." Ned replied.
MJ motioned being sick, Peter nervously laughed.
"You losers going to Brad's party?" MJ asked.
"I mean, I don't know.. Peter, you in?"
"Party? At Brad Davis'?" Peter asked, oblivious.
"Yeah, man. The whole grade is invited, even the new kids."
Peter knew that Brad was into MJ.
"Are you going, MJ?" He asked.
"Well I wasn't but then he insisted, almost like he was begging me. So yeah, guess I'm going."
"Oh, uh, cool." Peter said, disappointed.
He knew Brad was going to try something at that party. And he really didn't want to let that happen.
"Y'know what, yeah, I'm going to the party." Peter confidently remarked.
"Awesome, dude! Don't go swinging off anywhere this time." Ned replied.
"Trust me, nothing like that will happen on Friday."
"Don't forget your hat, Ned." MJ sarcastically added.
"I wouldn't ever forget my hat, basically a girl-magnet with that thing on!"
They all laughed.
Peter peered over to the Avengers.
"Hey, don't ya think it's kinda strange how the new kids are all sitting together?"
"Well they probably haven't properly talked to anyone here yet." Ned replied.
"Brad was getting real friendly with that Stanley guy though." Peter said.
"Who cares, they'll mix in with the other baiscs soon." MJ added.
Ned and Peter chuckled.
"Have you got a call from Happy yet, dude?" Ned asked, turning to Peter.
"Nope. I think he's ignoring me or something. Still pretty bummed I wasn't invited to this special mission."
"Don't worry man, I mean they are the big leagues."
"I'm one of the big leagues, Ned! Just because I'm a bit younger they think I can't do anything to help!"
MJ scoffed.
"Stop bein' a baby. They'll call ya when they need ya."
"Hopefully."
