I know I said yesterday night , I was almost done but sleep just came *lol*
Okay so here's the chapter..
MERCY'S POV
Have you ever felt so uneasy to the extent where you can't sleep at night? I couldn't sleep throughout the night so I just set up my laptop and my snacks and made it a movie night.
But that's definitely a wrong idea especially when the next day is Monday and I repeat who loves Monday?
Waking up to the sound of my alarm was pure torture for me , I couldn't do it after sleeping at three in the morning and now this alarm is sounding at eight . I carried the pillow next to me and put it over my head but still it was like the sound increased.
When I couldn't take it , I stood up and glared at the rubbish alarm in front of me. I walked out of my room after carrying my towel .
I walked straight to the bathroom and made sure to lock the door , after that incident I have never forgotten to do that. I chuckled as I remembered what happened that morning.

I opened my closet and picked out a crop top and a high waste jeans . I brought out one of my sneakers to go with it. I grabbed my brown little back bag and walked out of the room.
As usual , Hakeem was lying on the chair watching something on his phone and did I mention that he just bought a new Huawei
P30 pro , and if I was the owner of that phone I won't drop it too.
Maybe I should tell dad to buy it as Christmas gift for me cause I was falling for that phone especially with it's shining back.
"Good morning." I said with a smile. I was glad that he was sitting down here as usual , but that went down the drain when he just muttered a morning back.
I groaned as I walked to the kitchen. He was starting to annoy me , no this has even pass annoy. I sighed as I looked around the kitchen , I picked some snacks and a drink and put it in my bag before backing it.
I wasn't in the mood to eat again and that's one thing. If it was an usual morning we would be in the kitchen cracking our brains with what to eat and now ....
I walked back to the sitting room and he was still in the same position, watching a movie I think on his phone.
I remembered what happened when Halima left his room , she looked angry and that was a rare thing coming from her.
After some minutes they left promising to come visit today again and I know it's because of Hakeem of course.
"Hakeem." I called as I sat on the couch in front of his.
He turned to look at me for a brief moment before turning back.
"What?" He asked with that stupid monotone voice.
Why was I even worrying , ' cause he's your roommate and close friend.' my subconscious answered and I couldn't help but agree with her.
"What's wrong? Did I do something?" I couldn't help but ask.
But he just scoffed and I repeat again he scoffed.
I was an inch away from getting angry too , maybe even smaller than an inch.
"What's wrong with you? I'm trying to apologise and that's if I even did something to you and you're acting like this?" I asked standing up and his whole attention was still on the phone which I really felt like throwing away.
"You know what , I'm done trying to apologise for nothing." I said in a low voice and walked out of the house banging the door to show I was pissed off.
This was our first fight ever since we started living together and it was getting on my nerves.
I walked to the campus and it helped calm me down a little.
I walked into the class and thankfully the lecturer was not around. I looked around the class before noticing Teni who had his head bent , I walked to his seat and my usual seat beside him was empty so I sat down.
"Good morning." I said even though there was nothing good about the morning. He quickly turned immediately he heard my voice and a smile grace his face.
He leaned in and gave me a brief kiss obviously catching the attentions of those at the back.
"Hey. I was wondering where you were cause any minute from now the ogá go soon enter." He said making me laugh.
"You're not serious , leave that woman alone oo. Did you do her assignment?" I asked him and a confused look covered his smile.
Joy and Esther who were arguing behind us even stopped ,
"Jesus Christ , I forgot ooo. Joy and I told you." Esther said . They had to print it out so they were stucked.
Normally I would have laughed at their predicament but I just smiled and faced front back ,
" Are you okay?" I heard Teni ask making be turn to him.
"Yeah I'm good. Why are you asking?" I asked back , he was too observant for his own good.
"You look down." He said as joy also tapped me , I turned back to her .
"Mercy that Saturday party that I told you about was mad." She said making me chuckle,
"You see that onome girl she's crazy." She added making me laugh.
Onome was an obviously crazy kind of person with her short gowns and skirts with different girls following her , you'll know.
Her exact opposite is Atami. She's a beautiful Hausa girl and she's always wearing Ankara material clothes , her gowns and gele(head tie) were too die for she would sew them to fit her shape and also cover everything up and I loved that her style but we weren't close like that
Just the usual small talks.
Dr Susan entered the class and we all said our greetings. I always love her class and when our schedule changed to her on Monday morning I was happy , why you may ask? Well cause we have her in one of the renovated classes which had projector , AC and comfortable chairs.
All in all I loved the class.
"Good morning and before I start collecting your assignment on the research of Ben Enwonwo's work I want to make an announcement. As art students , we know more about our culture , and I want us to show it. Every Friday we'll have art and culture art where you'll dress up in your native attire , well not necessarily that but you get my point. I will also do that and as the time goes on we can start forming different events every Friday. Okay so back to today's work let's submit the assignment." She ended with her accent laced loud voice.
I opened my bag and brought out the printed blue covered work and stretched it out to Teni. He collected mine and stood up to collect from the rest.
I chuckled at his lost look.

"Fashion parade will start with this to thing Dr Susan said oo ." Joy said making me nod.
They will surely turn it into a competition I was sure about that. We were going to the second and last class of the day.
When we got there we sat on our usual seats,
" I took a very magnificent shot yesterday. I'm sure you'll like it." Teni said with a smile catching my attention.
"Really , let me see it. " I said back making him chuckle as he opened his phone and two tapped the gallery icon.
He passed the phone to me and he was right, it was really good. It's a picture of the yesterday's sunset and it was than beautiful .
The sky was a different shade of orange and yellow and then at the other side it was just blue.
"This is really good." I said making his smile widen.
"Thanks." He said back ,
"Can you send it to me let me edit it?" I asked him ,
"Yeah sure. I know that's what you will say." He said making me chuckle.
"That's me na." I said back before adding ,
"You need an hair cut."
I took in his look and his afro was fuller than usual with his beards too , becoming visible.
"I know , I was busy yesterday so I couldn't go. I'll go after class today." He said back making me nod and then he chuckled.
"You've started." I said with a teasing look ,
"I wasn't expecting that na. And I got you something."
"Really what?" I asked surprise but Mr aniete decided to bless us with his presence and I couldn't help but groan.
"Good afternoon sir." We greeted as he dropped his bag.
"Good afternoon. I've marked your assignments and I'm really proud of you guys . You really did beyond my expectations but there's one particular work that I loved ...." He said ,
Wow that was good to know and I'm sure we'll have a good mark now since he said everyone and our work wasn't bad.
He picked up a Particular file nodding at it ,
"Peter Mercy and Akinbola Teniola you guys really stood out with your pictures. They caught the emotions well and also this other pair ....." He said making me smile.
Did he just acknowledge our work in front of the whole class , Teni and I turned to face each other ,
"I can't believe this." He said making me chuckle,
"Me too." I said back before we both faced the lecturer at the front.
........
Finally I was back , today wasn't all that stresaful and immediately the class ended I
walked out and for the first time I didn't copy Teni's note.
I told them I was hungry and I needed to go home , and it was true. I was hungry.
I walked into the empty house and dropped my bag before walking into the kitchen .
I quickly prepared meat stew and rice from the ingredients we bought on Friday.
When I was done I carried my plate to them sitting room and sat down on one of the couch and as if NEPA heard my pleas they switched on the light.
I grabbed the remote and turned on the TV , changing the station to Nickelodeon . After balancing myself well , the door opened and my roommate entered.
I didn't bother turning just faced my food back , he also didn't talk just entered his room.
Oh it's so on , let's see how long this will go on.
How long oo?
Everything is just getting complicated.
*Sighs*.
