*Sofia's P.O.V.*
"When are you uploading the video?" Niall asked me for like the 100th time. I was just making sure everything was perfect before uploading it.
"I'm going baby. Just making sure there aren't any mistakes."
"Okay, but hurry up." He spoke, bouncing up and down in the couch like a little child. Niall and I had already made a video about our relationship and I was going to upload it on the 15th, but since the little Harry slip, we decided to post it now. We wanted to get it over with and post it now, because since the news came to light yesterday, all of the fans have been going crazy and want confirmation from either of us, so we're going to deliver.
"You want to see it one last time before I post it?" I asked Niall.
"Yeah, let's see it." He scooted closer to me and I positioned the phone between the two of us so we could both watch. I clicked play and a clip of Niall and I hugging appeared, it was on e of the first videos we took as a couple. We had seen this trend on TikTok which was the I started dating this guy and... and then proceeded to include snippets of videos showcasing the relationship. We loved the idea and thought that that was a cute way to tell everyone we were dating, but since that has now changed, it is a good way to confirm our relationship. "It's perfect." Niall smiled at me after watching the minute long video.
"Great! Then I'll upload it right now."
"Make sure to tag me."
"As if people didn't know who you are." I mean, even if I didn't tag him, obviously people were going to recognize him, he was freaking Niall Horan.
"Can you just tag me? Is it too much to ask?" He asked in a soft tone.
"Did you just reference one of your songs?" I laughed.
"Yeah, I did." He laughed too.
"Niall, Niall, Niall."
"I couldn't let the opportunity slide, it fit perfectly."
"Yeah, it did."
"Well then, are you going to tag me or not?"
"Yes, geez, so anxious."
"You know me."
"Unfortunately, I do."
"Oi, shut up." Niall lightly pushed me, as a joke obviously.
"You know I was joking Nialler. Getting to know you is the best thing that has ever happened to me."
"Oh, so romantic." He put his hand to his chest while speaking. And I couldn't help but crack up, remembering that one interview he did with Harry in which they said: The laughs we have, between me and you, pranks, laughs and then Niall went Ohh. It was hilarious.
"What are you laughing about?" He asked, since tears had started rolling down my cheeks from laughing so hard.
"I just remembered an interview you did with Harry."
"The Ohh one right? I've seen a lot of memes and gifs about it."
"Yeah that one." I carried on laughing.
"It wasn't that funny."
"Umm excuse you...yeah it was."
"Fine, it was funny. But can you please stop making fun of me and post the video?"
"Okay, okay. I'm going."
"Thank you."
"There, I already uploaded it. And yes, before you ask, I did tag you Niall."
"Thanks petal." He spoke while refreshing my account from his phone, eager to see the video. "Are you sure you uploaded it? It's not showing."
"It takes a bit of time to process baby, don't be impatient."
"Ahh, there it is." He exclaimed before clicking the video.
"See, I told you." I refreshed my notifications and the video had already gotten 5,000 views in less than a minute and a bunch of comments. One in particular stood out from the rest, obviously Niall had left a comment in the video: Best months of my life, I love you Soph <3
"Did you see my comment?" Niall asked with his cheeky smile.
"Yes, you're too cute!" I leaned in to kiss his cheek.
"I know, I know."
"Did you see how many views and comments it already has?"
"Wow, that's a lot. Look, it's now at 23,000!"
"Wow, I've never gotten so many views so fast."
"It's because I'm in the video."
"Oh shut up, don't be cocky. You're in almost all of my videos, so I don't think that's it. I think the reason it's getting so many views is because I'm in it."
"Now who's being cocky?" He questioned me, and before I could say anything else he leaned in to kiss me.
A couple of hours later the video had already gotten more than 5 million views and the comment section was blowing up. Thankfully most of the comments were supportive, which was something I appreciated. I don't even know why I had been so scared to tell people about my relationship with Niall. I honestly thought that people would be way meaner and hateful, guess the fact that I am a directioner and that I had been feeding them content for the past months helped.
"So how do you feel?" Niall asked me later that night as we laid in bed.
"Huh?" I turned to look at him, with a confused look on my face.
"About going public with our relationship at last."
"Free." I laughed. "I don't even know why I was so scared to tell everyone in the first place. Most of the fans are being really nice."
"See? I told you they'd love you too. There was no need to hide our relationship any longer."
"I know."
"It'll feel great to finally be able to say that you're my girlfriend, to hold your hand in public and kiss you whenever I feel like it, without having to worry if someone saw or took a picture."
"Yes, it'll be great. I still can't believe that everyone knows about us now. It's great but weird at the same time."
"Oh yeah, trust me, it'll be weird at first. People will start asking for your pictures, and you'll find fans taking photos of you and trying to get information about you, but you'll get used to it. It has only taken me about 10 years to get used to it." Niall laughed.
"You're not helping Nialler."
"I'm kidding, I'm kidding. But you will get a lot of pictures taken and there'll be constant staring and whispering too."
"It's okay. I can deal with that. As long as I'm with you nothing else matters." I voiced as I cuddled next to Niall in the bed. Niall's arm instinctively draped over my waist as soon as my body touched his, just like if his arm belonged there. I leaned in for a kiss, the kind of kiss that I wanted to last forever, but after some time I withdrew to gaze at the face I loved so much. Niall glided his hand over my cheek, brushing away a strand of hair and tucking it behind my ear.
"Have I ever told you I love you?" He asked, the love he had for me evident in his gorgeous blue eyes. I couldn't help but grin, he said the exact same thing every single day right before going to sleep, wether it was through text, phone call, face time or in person.
"No, uh, uh." I gave him the same answer I always did. I loved hearing him said that he loved me.
"Well, I do." I heard the words before he said them, moving my mouth along as he spoke the words that I had already memorized, but this time, he didn't stop there, he added something else. "And you know what?"
"What?" I spoke in a barely audible voice.
"I always will." I dropped my gaze, lingering at his lips for a split second before meeting his. I couldn't get enough of him, how did I get so lucky?
"You know, I never told you this, but as soon as we meet I knew you were the one. The one I would spend my days thinking of, the one I would spend my nights dreaming about. The one who would hold me when I cried and the one who would laugh with me. The one who I would share my life with and the one I would love for the rest of my life. I knew all that as soon as we met." I didn't even realize tears were falling down my cheeks until I felt Niall's hand lightly brush them away. I was at a loss for words, I never expected him to say such beautiful things about me, and I honestly could not believe that he was my boyfriend. I just laid there next to him while he brushed away my tears, staring into his eyes, letting him know that I felt the exact same way he did.
"I feel.." I started speaking before my voice cracked.
"I know baby, there's no need to say it." He reassured me before his lips found their way to mine. Whenever he kissed me the world fell away. It was slow and soft, comforting in ways that words would never be. I pulled him closer to me until there was no space left between us and I could feel the beating of his heart against my chest. I still couldn't believe that all of this started because of a live video and a pinch of luck of being chosen, out of 23,000 other fans, he chose me. It was quite funny how some small talk could turn into this kind of love, the kind of love that people say doesn't exist anymore. The type that spans far longer than one lifetime, that's the kind of love Niall and I have. I know I'm not his first love, but I really wish to be his last.
