"Great job today guys, I'll see you all next week." The inmates filtered out of the room guided by two C.Os. Lucy grabbed her towel and wiped her sweaty face before taking a big swig of her water bottle. She had started classes a little over two weeks ago, most of the participants were good behaviour inmates or older men so only one guard would stand at the back just to supervise. In those two weeks Lucy continued to sneak into Aces cell, she seemed to have a constant ache that could only every be satisfied by his touch. The young woman couldn't explain this yearning and honestly she didn't want to delve into it, afraid she would uncover self doubt and guilt.
Lucy had confronted Ace last week, asking if he had told Kurt and she was uneasy by his answer; "I didn't tell him anything, but he knows something happened.". Ever since then Lucy had been sucking up to Kurt, doing various things to show her gratitude for his silence.
Tossing her towel to the side, Lucy waited for her last class of the day luckily it was a simple yoga session with most of the older inmates. Finally the door opened and people filtered in, the young woman greeted Davis and he offered a smile before approaching her.
"Officer Turner said he will be here soon." Lucy thanked the old man for delivering Kurt's message. She decided to start constructing the inmates through some simple stretches to begin with, but about halfway through everyone's attention shifted to the sound of the door opening.
"Officer Turner how nice of you to join us," Kurt greeted her before looking back at the door and guided a shackled man through it. Lucy's eyes widened when the inmate raised his head and she recognised those green eyes and sly smirk. "and what do we have here?"
"A new student." Kurt undid the restraints from Aces hands and feet, and stepped back. Lucy quickly snapped out of her shock and returned to guiding the inmates through more stretching, her eyes scanned the lines of men before they settled back on Ace. Whilst the rest of the class were following her movements, Ace stood at the back with only his eyes following her movements.
"Costello this is a yoga lesson, not a staring match." Lucy stated calmly with an edge of sarcasm to her voice and a few of the men snickered. Meeting his gaze Lucy now saw the tinge of anger she had provoked, but soon he copied her instructions without any reluctance. Throughout the remainder of the lesson, the officer could feel Aces heated stare and she found herself often looking in his direction. Once class was over several of the inmates thanked the young woman before exiting until it was only Kurt, Ace and herself left.
"Thanks for embarrassing me in front of all my friends officer Amorossi." Ace smirked as Lucy approached him after gathering her bag.
"You have friends?" Kurt let out a loud snicker, Ace snapped his head in the officers' direction giving him a glare to shut him up. Ace took a small step towards the young woman and easily towered over her.
"I should really teach you how to shut that pretty mouth up." Aces voice was low so only Lucy could hear his inappropriate innuendo.
"Watch it Ace." Lucy said warningly, but she couldn't help but clench her legs together imagining ways he would keep her quite.
There was a moment of silence as the two faced off, Ace giving her his best intimidating stare and Lucy met it with her own gaze unknowing of how her eyes filled with pure arousal. Kurt awkwardly shifted from one foot to the other before clearing his throat and successfully breaking the tense atmosphere.
"Better get you back to your cell." Ace simply nodded and held his arms up so Kurt could cuff him.
"Goodbye Lucy." Ace offered her a panty-dropping smile.
"Bye." Lucy waved to both men as they exited the door, letting out a huff once they were out of sight. The brutes devilish smile and rugged charm had her all hot and bothered but she would have to wait until she returned to work on Monday for him to remedy the ache that he created.

When Lucy got home she saw that downstairs was abandoned, she assumed mother was upstairs resting. After her fainting episode Lucy took her mother to have a check up with a specialist, however her Mum went in alone and disclosed very little information to her daughter. This had only increased the young woman's worry for her mother, Lucy had considered reducing her hours at the prison but her mother disapproved and frankly they needed the money.
"Mum." Lucy whispered softly, looking through the small crack of her mother's door. Instantly, a smile came to Janets face at the sound of her little girls voice.
"Come in darling." Lucy slipped out of her shoes before walking to her mother's side, the fragile woman patted her bedside. "Lay down with me."
"I'm all sweaty from work, I don't want to dirty your sheets." Lucy's eyes softened and her heart clenched to see her mother like this.
"Nonsense, just lay with your old mother for a minute." Even though her body was weak, Janet still had her fiery personality. Lucy carefully laid down beside her mother, leaning in when her Mum wrapped her arm around like when she was a young girl.
"How was your day?"
"Good, I taught two exercise classes even had a new student." Janet nodded, closing her eyes as she embraced the moment of having her daughter in her arms.
Lucy scanned her mother's resting content face for a short moment before speaking again. "Mum," Her mother replied with a quite hum. "will you tell me what the specialist said?" Janet opened her eyes and faced her baby girls' pleading eyes, she knew it was time to tell her.
"The cancer was dormant but now it has grown again." Lucy felt her heartbreak and tears sting her eyes. "She said it is still inoperable and continuing chemo would have very low success." Janet brushed away her daughters tears, as she felt some welling in her own eyes.
"So what's g-going to happen?" Lucy had reverted back to a little girl looking to her mother to tell her that everything would be okay.
"I will have a few beautiful months left with my daughter." Janet smiled whilst raking Lucy's hair over her ear. Lucy clung to her Mum and Janet simply held her whilst rubbing circles into her back. A few minutes passed, Janet pulled away and let out a small humourless laugh at her daughters red nose and watery eyes.
"Come on Lucy, I have been lucky to have fought for this long." Lucy couldn't understand how her mother was always so optimistic.
"I can't leave you here alone, I will have to get you a nurse. I would quit if we didn't need the money." Lucy hung her head low, feeling disappointed that precious time she could be spending with her mother she will be working.
"I'm fine baby, I would never expect you to give up your job."
"I'm getting the nurse, just someone who come check on you. I might even ask Kurt for a few favours."
"I won't argue with you on that, that boy can visit me anytime." Lucy let out a small laugh, her mother and Kurt had really bonded over teasing her about her 'cute but dorky' childhood photos.
"I love you Mum." Lucy scanned every inch of her mother face, committing every speck to memory.
"I love you too, I'm so proud of you and I know your father would be too." Janet gazed into her daughter blue eyes, the ones she had inherited from her father.
"I'm not sure about that." Lucy softly uttered as guilt deeper into her. She couldn't imagine her either of her parents approving of her most recent actions with a convicted criminal.
"Why do you say that?" Janet watched as her daughter simply shook her head, there was a glint of sadness in her eyes that she knew wasn't from finding out about her limited time with her Mum. After mentioning her father, Lucy looked almost guilty. "You know, when you were little you always adored your father and you wanted to be just like him. Even though he loved your attention and being the person you looked up to, all he ever wanted was for you to be you." Lucy smiled sadly, she had created her own expectation to be as amazing as her Dad. She felt all the things she had mimicked from both her parents were the only good things about herself.
Janet had a feeling that something happening, that had Lucy in a conflicted state. Lucy seemed happier, but also reluctant to talk about where this newfound joy was coming from.
"No matter what happens or what you do, I will always be your Mum and he will always be your Dad." Lucy felt herself breakdown again, she hugged her mother and softly thanked her and told her how much she loved her. Hearing those words from her mother had made the young woman feel as though she wasn't a complete disappointment because of what she was doing with Ace.
