As the title says, this is a Markhyuck one-shots book. I've been reading this book for like, 3 months now and it. just. won't. end. 51 chapters and ongoing yall. The various one-shots in these books are usually divided into 3-4 parts in chapters and have a huuuge variety.
Seriously, not one is similar to the other. Each mini-plot is unique and very versatile. There will definitely be at least one that's perfect for every reader, and the writing style is a joy to read.
Starlight by EVERGLOW
I gotta admit, this book went way past my expectations. There's a sense of reality to it that made it so much more interesting to read. It was a perfect blend of fanfic drama and the real world. There are so many things to commend, I mean.
The plot was interesting, 52 chapters long and completed, the situations were very relatable and down to earth, the writing was such that you related to both characters individually (which takes some serious talent I tell you) and their relationship development over the book was just.... wow.
I'm very impressed by how smoothly the Author described their struggles, both personal and together, and the way they dealt with it made me wanna scream "YES THAT IS HOW A REAL RELATIONSHIP WORKS PEOPLE LEARN".
For the aspiring romantic writers out there, learn from this peaches, it's a gem of a fic.
Red Light by EVERGLOW
Honestly, I was a bit shook by the content in this book. Don't get me wrong, it's a great read. But maybe not as a purely Markhyuck relationship-based one. Definitely not for the soft at heart. The plot itself starts off intense, and its got a Maze Runner sorta aesthetic to it too.
It's 69 chapters long and completed (to the pervs who smirked, lol same). If you enjoy books like Divergent/ Hunger Games etc, then you'll really like this one. A slight warning tho; there will be some disturbing content.
I really enjoyed reading it the one time, but as someone with mild Nyctophobia, I don't plan on reading it again for the sake of decent sleep (that I already lack) in my life.
Push and Pull by EVERGLOW
This recommend is gon be a lil different, peaches.
Thing is, I really wanted to read this book, but as I mentioned, I prefer to stay away from any toxic/ disturbing/ creepy themed books. (I'm not lying when I say I haven't seen a single horror film in my life so far).
I genuinely tried to read it, but I backed out somewhere after Chapter 13 because it made my gut twist in the worst ways and I really didn't wanna push myself any further. Technically that is the Author's aim throughout the whole book tho and it is extremely well written, in its own twisted sorta way.
Though it isn't my cup of tea, I have to agree it made for an interesting read so I just wanted to mention it in case any of yall peaches are into these kinda books. I did promise I'd try to be as diverse as possible.
This author is definitely one of a kind. They have their own writing style and unique outlook which makes their books very interesting because of the unpredictability.
I respect them because their books were so good I read them even tho I can't usually stand reading this kinda stuff. Anygays just wanted to remind yall that I'll be updating once a week after my next update because of schoolwork and other stuff in my life.
ALSO, GO WATCH TROYE SIVAN'S BLUE NEIGHBORHOOD ALBUM THAT STUFF HITS SERIOUSLY DEEP ESPECIALLY THE TRILOGY ( I may or may not have cried over that too :')
