It was early morning. Shivaay was sleeping peacefully, while resting his head on Anika's bed. Suddenly he felt someone moving their fingers in his hair.
He woke up with a jerk and looked at Anika who was looking at him with droopy eyes and she gave him weak smile.
He immediately cupped her face and pecked her lips.
S- Thank God! You're awake.
He started crying while burying his face in the crook of her neck. Tears started building up in Anika's eyes after seeing his condition.
She gently caressed his back.
A- Shhh... It's fine Shivaay. See I'm healthy.
Anika said while consoling him.
S- I tho... Thought th... That.... I.... I.... Los.... Lost..... You.... Lik... Like Mom... An... And... Dad....
He said between hiccups while crying.
A lone tear escaped from Anika's eyes.
She made him look at herself while cupping his face.
A- Shivaay, I won't leave you ever, unless you tell me to leave.
Anika said the last line while gulping her pain in the heart.
Shivaay pecked her forehead.
S- I'll never let you leave me, not until my last breath.
Anika Palmed his mouth and glared at him and Shivaay chuckled.
A- Don't talk about death ever.
Shivaay nodded his head.
A- How are you?
Shivaay Looked at her in surprise and chuckled.
S- I should be the one asking this question as technically you're in hospital bed.
Shivaay and Anika chuckled.
A- I'm fine.
Shivaay smiled at her while caressing her forehead.
S- Anika, I want to say something to you.
A- Yeah.
Shivaay looked at her with a hesitant smile.
S- I... I... Lo.....
At the same time, the ward's door opened and a doctor entered the ward.
Shivaay and Anika looked at the doctor and Shivaay stood near Anika's bed while holding her hand.
D- It's good to see you awake, Mrs. Oberoi. How are you feeling now? Do you feel any pain?
A- I'm feeling good, doctor. Just some pain in my abdomen.
D- Okay. That's normal as the wound is still fresh. Don't worry. I'll just inject some painkiller in your IV.
Doctor said while doing Anika's check up. He then injected some painkiller in her IV.
Soon Anika drifted into sleep. Shivaay looked at her worriedly and then at Doctor.
D- Don't worry, she'll be fine. She just needs complete rest.
Shivaay nodded his head and sat beside her.
D- Everything is fine with her. We will keep her in observation for 5 days.
S- Thank you doctor.
D- I must say that your wife is very lucky to have you as her husband.
S-You're wrong Doctor. I'm the luckiest to have her.
Doctor smiled at him.
Shivaay was sitting while looking at Anika with admiration.
Soon Dadi, OmRuRi and Sahil entered the ward.
All of them rushed towards Anika and Shivaay.
Da- Billu, how is Anika puttar?
S- She's fine dadi. Doctor gave her pain killers so she's sleeping.
Da- Thank you babaji.
Dadi prayed to God.
Sahil hugged Anika as few tears escaped from his eyes.
Sa- Jiju, Will didi be okay?
Shivaay smiled and picked up Sahil in his arms.
S- Yes. Your didi is healthy. And do you know what she said when she was awake?
Sahil shook his head in negative.
S- She said that till the time she recovers completely, I have to take care of you. And I keep a check that you eat and sleep properly. But I kept a secret from her?
Sa- What secret?
S- the secret is that I'll give you chocolates after every meal. But promise me that this secret is between us Only.
Sahil squealed in happiness and wrapped his arms around Shivaay's neck and hugged him.
Sa- Thank you Jiju.
S- Anything for you, champ.
Everyone adored the duo.
O- Shivaay, I think you should go home and freshen up. Have some breakfast and feed Sahil also as he didn't eat anything since dinner.
S- But Anika?
G- Don't worry, bhaiya. We all are here only.
Shivaay nodded his head and he left for home with Sahil.
