haneul exited the lift only to meet her boss, jaehyun. she quickly bowed and apologised, "sorry for being late."
her boss smiled at her and opened his mouth to speak...
...only for her to be overwhelmed by tons of gibberish. did my translator run out of battery already? she continued to nod to whatever her boss was saying.
after her boss was done with his long speech, he finally left. she heaved a sigh of relief, her brain very confused by whatever he did. she reached to her left ear to take out and charge her translator.
wait.
her hand was met with her skin. her translator was not there. her eyes widened as she rummaged through her bag.
there it was, charging.
"i didn't wear my translator at all..." she muttered as she unplugged it and put it on. she sat down at her work cubicle and opened her laptop.
"i didn't wear my translator at all?!" she ran a hand through her hair, confused. "how did i understand jisung then?"
then it clicked.
oh my god, i am stupid.
"i met my soulmate and didn't even realize it until it's too late." she groaned as she slumped onto her desk.
she sighed as she sat up, pushing long strands of hair from her face. this was the first time in her entire 18 years of her life that she met her soulmate.
what are the chances that i would see him again? does he even know that i'm his soulmate? if he does, is he disappointed?
her head was swarmed with thoughts about jisung that she couldn't concentrate at all. she just wanted this confusing day to be over with.
