mellifluous is the voice of the dove
that talks wisdom in rhyme;
she flies by your ear, whispers
"who are you when you're in love?"
if i had a dime
for every smile you paint on me,
we'd be rich for all eternity.
your eyes in the afternoon,
they follow me like satellites
as i realise, in this infinite place,
the best way to go to the moon
is never running out of space.
but the skies move on their own
as we drift through the stormiest night.
isn't that right?
we see the lightning
before we feel the thunder.
and isn't it wild
that once the weather
cleared inside our hearts
dark clouds hovered above our heads
as if to remind us
of where we came from?
for all the things i know,
i wish i was wrong.
but it's too late now to think ahead.
i lost track of time...
i don't remember when.
