Idol: Young K/ Brian (Day 6)

This chapter is obviously inspired by the movie 'Train to Busan', and some other IRL experience which I will be addressing at the end of this chapter and btw, if you haven't already watched Train to Busan, I highly recommend it. Though it might be a tear fest for some people (me included 💀)

*3rd person POV*
"What bento do you want hyung?" Y/n asked tilting his head to the side a bit making Brian laugh in adore
"Aigoo, kiyowoo" Brian pinched Y/n's chubby cheeks
The couple looked around the store, deciding on what kind of bento they would want to buy. Whether it being a beef teriyaki set, a grilled pork belly combo set, or just some plain gimbap set.
The couple ultimately contemplated on either the grilled pork belly, with some rice and kimchi, or the beef yakiniku set, which had rise, the beef yakiniku, some miso soup, and a serving of red bean ice cream.
Looking at the price, the prices weren't that different, with the grilled pork at 13.000 ₩ (about 11 dollars), and the beef yakiniku set at 15.000 ₩ (about 12.50 dollars). So the couple opted for the beef yakiniku set, because it had much more little extras in it.
So, with their giddy and enthusiastic feelings, they headed towards the waiting room for the train.
"Wah, it really has been a long time, since we went of a trip" Brian snuggled near me, engulfing himself in my warm fuzzy coat
"It really has been, just the two of us" Y/n smiled as he pecked his boyfriend's lips
20 MINUTES UNTIL THE TRAIN TO BUSAN ARRIVES, FOR PASSENGERS, BOARDING THAT TRAIN, PLEASE HEAD ON-
it just cut off. Followed with some static sounds, and a weird flickering screen.
"Jesus, well that's one janky monitor" Brian joked
"Talk about janky" Y/n giggled back
FOR EVERY PASSENGER HERE, PLEASE EVACUATE THE STATION IMMEDIATELY, FOR EVERY PASSENGER HERE, PLEASE EVACUATE THIS STATION IMMEDIATELY!
The alarm kept on showing that same announcement all the time. What was going on?
Then this huge crowd of people, just started rushing towards the poor confused couple, still not knowing what was happening. It didn't look like they were the only confused ones, a young male with what seemed to be his girlfriend, was also confused.
"Do you know what's happening?" Brian asked
"I was just going to ask you that too!" The boy spoke
"S-should we be evacuating?" The girl spoke
"I guess we should, let's just follow the crowd"
Both of the couples, did the OG strat of #followthecrowd. They just followed the massive herd of people and just snuck in.
"Uh, what's going on?" Brian asked a random guy.
"There's something going on at the command tower" He explained, worry clearly laced in his words.
"Wh-what kind of something?" The boy from the couple spoke
"I don't know" He said, rushing to the front.
TO ALL THE PASSENGERS, YOU CAN NOW GO BACK IN THE BUILDING, EVERYTHING IS UNDER CONTROL NOW, RESUME ON YOUR PREVIOUS ATTENDANCES.
"Wait, is it just done like this?" Y/n asked
"I mean, the other people just went with the flow, and went back queueing back, and waiting for their train, like nothing happened.
Again, they followed with the #followthecrowd, and went back waiting for their train to Busan to arrive. Which was in 5 more minutes.
5 minutes later
"Y/n's POV *
"Jagiya, that's our train!" I squealed excitedly
"What are we waiting for then? Let's go!" Brian said as he pulled me, and navigated our way to the front of the train. Not forgetting to bring our bento lunches.
"Ticket check please" The conductor asked as we handed him our tickets
As he examined the tickets, we were overly excited, it was basically our first ever trip, just the two of us in like years.
"Okay, everything seems okay, please enjoy your ride here" The conductor smiled as she let us in.
We searched for our designated seats, and settled in comfortably.
"Wah, this is such a cool train" I say in awe
I wasn't born that wealthy to say the least, so these little intricacies, make me admire them in awe.
"I'm hungry" Brian pouted
"Already?" I asked him in disbelief
"Fine, I guess we can share my box later on" I say admitting defeat.
I handed him his bento box, as he started munching on happily. At this rate, there were still people coming in and out of the train, so the train was still completely still.
"Hyung, let me take a picture of you" I giggled
I pulled out my phone, and started to take photos of him eating his little dish. He looked so cute! His little cheeks expanding every time he eats, is just too cute! Who knew, that this photo was something more
"Kiyowo!" I laugh cuddling towards him.
"I know" He scoffed jokingly
"Gross" I replied
"Hey!–
*growl*
(no, not EXO)
"What was that?" I asked
*growl growl*
(nope, not EXO)
*GROWLS*
(for the last time Karen, this isn't EXO's growl)
The sound was coming even closer by every second.
Suddenly, this inhumane creature, just starts dashing towards the already seated passengers.
"AAAAAH!" A woman screamed
At this point, our flight or fight instinct were automatically clicking in.
"B-babe, run, RUN!" I shouted
All of the other passengers in that specific trunk, sprinted outside, meanwhile, we were cornered. The front of us was the creature, and the only way was going to the back.
So, we quietly snuck pass the creature, who was still feasting on that poor lady, and slipped to the back trunk.
"EVERYONE, RUN OUT OF HERE!" Brian shouted
Of course, no one was going to run, since they didn't know what was going, but we were just fully on sprinting to the exit.
And that was what we did, we ran and ran, not daring to look behind us. We ran all the way to the exit of the station, as even more of those creatures started to appear. And we were freaked out. We didn't know what they were, where they came from, nothing!
We quickly hid in a little corner, I was shivering and quivering for my dear life. WHAT WERE THOSE?
"Wh-what were those?" I ask sobbing in fear
"I don't know, zombies aren't real right?" Brian tried to keep optimistic
"It maybe is now" I cried
"Shhh, it's okay, all we gotta do, is drive to a safe country okay?" Brian reassured me, as he was giving me back rubs.
"All we need to worry now, is getting out of here, okay " Brian smiled
It was the smile that made me fall for him, the smile that started my liking from him, the smile that gave me a reason to keep on moving forward.
With all the left hope I have, we snuck, avoiding all the "zombies" attention. The both of us, snuck all the way to the gate, as I accidentally stepped on a branch. Making all of those creatures attention drawn to me. At this point, we were inches away from the exit gate, so we decided to just book it. Like we full on sprinted, not caring all the sounds that we made. We were just running and running, and at last, the exit game became bigger and bigger every step. But suddenly...
*Brian's POV*
"BRIAN!" Y/n called my name
I look back at him, and he was in the grips of a familiar pair of faces. It was the couple that we met before!
"BRIAN HELP!" Y/n tried to struggle out
I grabbed what was near me, and just swung at that creature mercilessly, just full on swinging like my life depended on it.
"Let's go Y/n!" I tried to pull Y/n
"Brian, you should just leave me" he said, showing a bite mark
Dammit, he was bitten.
"No, um here," he ripped a part of his clothes, and tied it up near the bite mark, to stop or at least slow down the infection rate.
"Aah, no Brian, leave me" Y/n begged me, tears in his eyes
"No! I'm not leaving you" I slung Y/n over my shoulder, and walked towards our shared car
"Hang in there Y/n, we'll be near a hospital soon!" I held his hand, not wanting to let go
"Brian, please" Y/n said, his pure tears staining his now starting to get green face.
"No!" I persisted
Y/n out of nowhere, opened the door, and flung himself out.
"Y/N!" I stopped the car immediately
As soon as that, a team of armored men, surrounded Y/n, and his now twitching body. Still having tears, streaming his pure face.
I ran towards him, but it was too late...
*BANG*
"Y/N!! NO!" I rushed towards him
His gaze was fixated on me, the whole time, the whole time he was twitching, the whole time he was surrounded and now this.
"Infected knocked down, dead soon! The target's safe" One of the men reported
"GET AWAY!" I shouted
Y/n's now fully green body, was just lying there lifeless, his gaze still on me, he still had his tears, staining his pure face, which was now ruined by gunshots. His mouth, broken from being shot, his chest, oozing with red hot fluid.
"Y/n no, NO, I DONT WANNA LOSE YOU!" I Screamed in agony
"Please Y/n, please" I shook his body
"I-i l-love yo-you" He smiled, as he let down one last single tear down.
"NO!" I cried, on top of his green body.
"WHAT DID YOU DO! YOU-YOU AGH!" I lash out on those men.
"Y/n please don't leave me" I cried even harder
"N-no g-GET OFF ME!" I struggled breaking free from those men's grips
"Target is secured, bringing to sanctuary " the men said like nothing just happened
"Y/n, no! Please wait! Just a–"
Those mother fuckers put me to sleep.
5 years later
I was packing up some stuff, wanting to finally get out from this facility now the zombie pandemic had happened. Until I found a really old and dusty phone, which in curiosity I opened.
It was Y/n's phone
I couldn't help but silently cry, as I flipped through his gallery, just filled with us being together and the happiest ever.
I miss him every single day.
I just wish that I could've just protected him a bit better, having this guilt feeling for Y/n's loss.
But, at least, Y/n's now safe and peaceful up there. I smile happily, looking at all of our moments, in the past.
"Daddy, why are you crying?" A little boys voice spoke
"Jeonghoon, this was your mom" I showed him pictures of Y/n
"What happened to mom?" He asked curiously
"Mom is now somewhere happy, and better now" I smile letting a tear down.
"Don't cry dad, I'm sure mommy's proud that you're the best dad ever" Jeonghoon giggled
"I'm sure she is" I chuckle
"What was mommy like?" He asked again
"He was sweet, everything I wanted, handsome, charming, funny, yet something in him, that just made daddy warm near mom" I smile explaining Y/n to him
"I wish I could see her dad" He sighed
"Me too," I sigh, letting tears down
"Don't cry appa, Let's get packing! We have a new house to live in!" Jeonghoon being the innocent 5 year old he is, cheered me up.
"Yeah, let's do that!" I smile, as I put my boyfriend's phone inside my bag, wanting to cherish that for as long as I can.

A/n:
Not gunna lie, this kinda made me sob a bit, like by a bit I mean a bucket worth of tears. I decided to write this in memory for my grandmother, who just passed away from cancer.
Anywho, writing and reading has really helped me through those hardships, and I just wanna quickly say that I love y'all like you all mean the world to me.
