it was the night of the party.
my mom made me wear this navy blue gown.
she was also wearing a gown but in crimson red.
"you guys looks so beau- gorgeous." dad complimented and wiped a fake tear.
mom then laughed & kissed dad.

i just quietly rolled my eyes at them but to my luck, nora saw it.
"mom, dad! nami just rolled her eyes at you two!"

"aww, don't worry nami. someday you'll eventually get a boyfriend."
i then pretended to throw up & mom just shook her head at me.
"we'll get going now, hun."
aaand some men of mom's company drove us to the venue.

we entered the venue & i looked around the place in awe.
they are so damn RICH.
there was a largeass chandelier in the center of the ball.
it's like the ball where cinderella had her first meeting with the prince.
"well sweety, i'm gonna talk to the others. i hope you're fine about being alone for awhile. have fun!"

and she was gone in a blink.
i pouted & went to the table where the food are located.
i grabbed a plate & picked some food to eat (obviously).
i then tried to walk through the crowd to get to an empty table.
why is this gown so heavy- HOLY SHIT.
i accidentally tripped on my heels (& dress).
but then, someone caught me.
fortunately, my food didn't fly off my hand.
i tried standing up straight & was about to thank the person who caught me.
i froze in my spot.

we were stunned by each other.
awkward silence then engulfed the both of us. but he broke it.

he then stared at my eyes.

i shut my eyes, trying to calm myself down.
"same goes for you." i replied before opening my eyes again.
he laughed at me.
"what are you doing here anyway?" i asked.
he then looked at me with a 'the-fuck-you-mean' look.
"i should be the one asking you that. what are you doing here at my parents' party??"
i widened my eyes.
"y-your parents'?!"
he smirked. "did not expect that?"
before i could reply, the host spoke.
"find a partner! it's dance time! dj lj already prepared a slow jam so hurry up!"
all the people were surprised by the sudden change of plans but found a partner anyways.
hell no. i ain't dancing. i haven't even ate these macaroons yet.
eric suddenly snatched the plate of macaroons i had in my hand & placed it at a nearby table.
i then looked at him in disbelief.
he just smiled at me & grabbed my hand.

he then pulled me towards him that resulted me to bump onto his chest.

"wanna dance with me?" he whispered.
i felt my cheeks heat up & my heart raising.
"f-fuck no." that could've been cooler if i hadn't stuttered.
i looked away from his eyes.

i looked at him again, but with a shocked face this time.
did he just say 'please'??
"i'm just being a gentleman, for once. do you want me to humiliate you infront of all these fancy people??"
i bit my lower lip.
"let's have a deal." i said.
he raised a brow at me, signalling me to continue.
"never. ever. bully me again. that was just a stupid game. why are you so affected?"

he stayed quiet & stared at my face for awhile.
his eyes then landed on my lips.

i covered my mouth with my other hand that he wasn't holding.
he then chuckled.
"okay fine. i knew it was stupid."
i was so relieved at that moment.
"but," he spoke again.
"what is it??" i started to become nervous.
