i accidentally stubbed my toe, what a great way to start my day :)
the loud noise struck again and nabi gasp. she looks around to see herself at the hospital with her parents both beside her.
'wasn't i just at home earlier?'
'i guess it's time for a checkup again'
"nabi-ah, come on" she heard her father called her as a nurse opened her doctor's room. nabi and her parents walked inside and greeted her doctor
"annyeong nabi-ah, how are you?" her doctor, junhyung, who is also jeno's brother greeted her.
"good i guess?" junhyung chuckled at her response before saying, "let's start the checkup shall we?" nabi nodded and the checkup started
in the middle of the checkup, nabi's parents left her alone to buy some refreshments for junhyung, so nabi decided to ask her doctor about what's been happening to her
"junhyung oppa" junhyung has been her doctor since 4 years ago, and from all of the doctors she had, he's the most comfortable one to be with so they're much closer than you might think. but of course, they only have a sibling relationship
"what is it nabi-ah?" he replies as he typed her checkup report of this month,
"i think i'm going mental" junhyung chortled at what she said, "what do you mean by that?"
"i feel like i'm having some memory loss, is it because of my disease? or is it because of the new medicine?" junhyung chuckled at her before replying, "i'm sure you're just imagining things"
nabi sighed at his reply before arguing, "no, i'm actually serious. it's like i suddenly teleported from here to there" junhyung pursed his lips before motioning for nabi to come closer, nabi scooted closer to hear what he has to say
"i'm also serious, stop watching dramas will you" nabi playfully shoved junhyung as he laughed, "don't worry about it too much. i'm sure you're alright" nabi sighed before nodding slowly
"am i really alright though?"
"what do you mean by that?" junhyung raised his head from his computer
"i don't have a lot of time now.." her voice trails off as she tried not to break down. "nabi-ah" junhyung grabbed her hand for comfort as she raises her head slowly to look at him
"you'll be alright, as long as you keep consuming your meds and keep a healthy lifestyle. now smile okay?" nabi nodded slowly with a small smile even though on the inside she felt like she's not going to last long

nabi's stomach grumbled as she walked inside the gates, "good thing i brought this" she raises the strawberry milk in her hands before opening the lid,
well she tried to but suddenly the loud noise came back
nabi looked around and her eyes fell to a familiar figure, "choo saeron" the said girl turned around to see nabi running towards her. "o-oh hey nabi" nabi gave her a smile
'what am i doing?'
"you just arrived?" saeron nodded as they walked together, it was all quiet and peaceful until a stomach growled, "a-ah sorry" saeron covered her stomach shyly. nabi pursed her lips before offering her the milk
'wait wHAT AM I DOING?'
"here drink this saeron-ah" saeron eyed the milk before asking, "really? you don't want it?" nabi shook her head with a small smile before nudging the milk towards her. "just take it, i already had breakfast"
'sINCE WHEN DID I HAD BREAKFAST WHAT THE FRICK'
"thanks, nabi-ah" saeron tried to take the milk but nabi still got a grip on it until nabi released it with a pained smile, saeron gave her a small smile before opening the lid and drink the substance

then they continued to walk together until a cough was heard from behind. both girls turned around to see the dreamies, 7 most famous boys in cheondae high
chenle walked forward before throwing his bag to saeron, "don't forget your job slave. come on jisung" fortunately saeron caught the bag even though she stumbled a bit.
"u-um see you later nabi-ah" nabi nodded towards the struggling girl who's following chenle and jisung towards the school
"hI BEST FRIEND" nabi closed her eyes as she let out a small sigh at the familiar voice before holding a hand up, "do not come near me lee donghyuck" the said boy only pouted before clinging to her arm.
"why are you being like this?" nabi tried to brushed off his arm but failed
"hi nabi" two boys greeted her at the same time, "save me please" she said to renjun and jeno and they only had mischievous smiles on their faces - they shook their heads which made nabi scowled at them
"come on donghyuck, we're gonna be late" mark pulled of the clingy boy from nabi which made nabi so thankful
"you're the only one for me now mark" mark only chuckled at her before softly patting her head, "see you later nabi" mark dragged a whining donghyuck as nabi happily bid goodbye to them
"be like mark or we're not friends anymore" nabi said to renjun and jeno
"that's just bullshit nabi-ah" renjun rolled his eyes at her as jeno nodded in agreement with him until realizing something.
"wait did you just swore?" jeno turned to face renjun who only looked aside with his head tilted up - trying to ignore his friend's question. "yah i know you're not deaf" jeno smacked his friend's arm which led to them bickering
"whatever" nabi shrugged at the two bickering boys
until her gaze fell onto the only boy who stood quietly from the start, not to mention he's also staring back at her
'damn he cu- no, bad nabi'
"adios my friends" nabi raised a hand before walking off
"so that's the famous nabi huh?" the silent boy finally spoke, both renjun and jeno stopped fighting and turned to jaemin
"pretty right?" jeno said but renjun snorted earning a judging look from jeno
"but mean"
"you're best friends with her though"
"sadly" renjun sighed
"what'd you think of her?" jeno's question broke off jaemin's trance. jaemin only shrugged before muttering, "i don't see anything special bout her"

in the middle of class, nabi felt her chest starting to hurt as well as her head. she raised her hand which the teacher noticed immediately. "yes nabi-ah?" "can i go to the infirmary?" the teachers know about her condition so they immediately let her
as nabi left the classroom, she felt her steps getting heavy as the pain worsen in her chest, she took a glance at her watch that has her heartbeat on it to see it getting slower than usual
'come on, just a few more steps and you'll be on the bed'
but her legs gave up on her as well as her consciousness
thankfully a figure quickly caught her in time.
