I try to lose myself in the crowded corridors of Scythe high as I walk to math. For a moment, I wonder what it would be like to be someone else. Anyone but Greyson Tolliver, the boy who got expelled from his last school for something he didn't do. Somebody thought it would be funny to place a tripwire four inches from the ground on the principal's office door. The principal tripped and broke her arm. I was the closest, so she assumed that it was me. She didn't even bother to check. So here I am. At the one school I didn't want to go to, Scythe high. The school my dad teaches at.
I walk into Room 3.14 and sit down at an empty desk near the front. The teacher starts explaining the grading system, but I'm not listening. I don't care what happens. I don't care at all.
