Summer: "Yay! They're ready!"
Summer starts clapping in excitement as the alluring aroma of cookies invades our nostrils. She runs over to the oven and pulls out the sheet pan full of chocolate chip cookies. I look on in admiration as her smile starts shining brighter than the sun.
Summer: "Are you gonna look at them all day or try them out?"
I take one off the pan and give it a light sniff, my mouth starts watering as the beautiful scent of Summer's cookies enters my nose.
Chomp!
My eyes widen in surprise, that one bite was enough to put me into a trance that made the world around me slow down as my focus became drawn to the cookie and the cookie alone as all the components came together and coated my taste buds and all I could think of... was love. Mom... Yang... Ruby.
Foodgasm Flashback
It was a sunny day in the park as me and mom were playing around with a ball she bought me.
Holly: "Come on Y/N! Pass mommy the ball!"
After all these years her mood never changed once, she's always been the sunny and cheerful person everyone knew her for. I remember rushing to grab the ball that was near a tree but in the excitement of it all I ended up tripping over a branch and skinning my knee. I rocked back and forth as I held my knee in pain and my tears were threatening to spill. Her motherly instincts went into overdrive as she ran over to me like my life was on the line but once she made it all she did was kneel down, rub my knee, and say...
Holly: "Awww, it's gonna be okay Y/N, look I'll make it feel better with mommy's magic kisses."
She kissed my skinned knee and then pulled back my hair to give me a kiss on the forehead.
Holly: "Better?"
I nod my head.
Y/N: "How does it work?"
Holly: "You're not thinking about it right?"
Y/N: "No... I'm not! Hahahaha!"
Holly: "Hehehe. Want to go get some ice cream?"
Y/N: "Yes! Can we please?!"
Holly: "Anything for my little JoJo!"
She pulls me up off from the floor, kisses my forehead one more time, and takes my hand as we walk off towards the ice cream parlor.
Flashforward
Through the years she never lost her cheery mood, even when I was edgelord supreme on the day that everything changed.
Holly: "Y/N!!!"
Y/N: "SHUT UP! GET OUT OF MY FACE YOU BITCH!"
Holly: "Okay!"
Flashforward
It was one of the first times I met Yang, just like mom, her personality and smile had the ability to brighten up anybody's day and out of all the people she could've talked to that day... she talked to me after I intentionally iced everybody out that day... even Ruby.
Yang: "Hey cutie."
Y/N: "Ugh, fuck off."
Yang: "Ooh, the edge! I can feel it cut through my wrists! Tell me, how much My Chemical Romance do you listen to?"
Y/N: "Hmph."
I looked away hoping it would make her move along but looking back on it, I thought it was hilarious. She didn't let my Tsundere huff slide as she just instead decided to slide in front of me and tell me one of her trademark terrible puns.
Yang: "Ah ha ha... hello~."
Y/N: "What. Do. You. Want?"
Yang: "To. Talk. To. You."
Y/N: "Yar-"
Yang: "What do Emos and Apples have in common?"
Y/N: "........."
Yang: "They YANG from a tree! Hahaha! Get it?! YANG! Hahaha!"
Y/N: "heh.... isn't it hang?"
Yang: "It is but Yang's the name and making puns is my game and on another note I hope my humor is to your taste, funny yet dark just like your soul."
Y/N: "Keep trying blondie."
I then walk away with a slight smile on my face.
Yang: "I'll get to you someday!"
And that she did... I'm glad she didn't give up on me.
Flashforward
It was the first week of Beacon and I remember Ruby bugging me non stop about where I get my hats and the extent of Star Platinum's abilities but looking back on it... nobody's ever admired me the way she does... it felt nice and it gave me a reason to do better.
Ruby: "Y/N! Let me wear your hat!"
I bring up my arm to see Ruby hanging on it.
Y/N: "Why?"
Ruby: "Because it's cool and I wanna see if it fuses with my hair too."
I sighed and placed my backup hat on her head and pushed the tip of it down blinding her.
Ruby: "Ah! Not fair! I'm blind! Blind I say! BLIND!"
She falls off my arm and scrambles to lift up the tip of my hat.
Y/N: "Heh, you're a funny one."
I kneel down and fix my hat giving her the ability to see again.
Y/N: "Now that you have my hat... Pose!"
Ruby: "What?"
Y/N: "POSE!"
Ruby: "Ah!"
She freaks out and does a karate chop.
Ruby: "Hyah!"
Y/N: "Noob!"
Ruby: "What?"
Y/N: "POSE!"
Ruby:
The silence that followed was deafening, it would go on for minutes until Ruby decided to break it.
Ruby: "Y/N? Are you okay?"
I stared at her with awe plastering my face until a bright smile replaced it!
Y/N: "I'm so proud!"
I rushed up to her and put her inside a back breaking hug.
Ruby: "Why?"
She says in a strained tone of voice as I finally let go.
Y/N: "Our fates are now intertwined for only true friends of a Joestar can return a pose with another one of equal or greater style, grace, and general badassery!"
Ruby: "Coooooool!"
Ruby shouts with excitement as purple stars replace her silver irises.
Ruby: "As your super serious friend I demand that we go hang out!"
Y/N: "Heh! Let's go."
Reality
As if by some magical force my clothes were then torn to shreds and the only sound I could emit was a loud and sensual moan that echoed through the whole room... I fell to my knees and then I realized... that I was crying... me... crying... pathetic.
Summer: "JoJo baka!!"
Slap!
The force of her slap spinned me a full 360 degrees as I fell face first on the floor when the pain on my cheek finally settled.
Y/N: "Why?"
I ask defeated as I'm still reeling from the stinging sensation that's engulfed my cheek.
Summer: "You tell me! You were daydreaming and then all of sudden you started ripping off your clothes and then you started moaning and you were rolling all over the floor naked!"
Y/N: "Damn it... that's not how it goes in the anime."
