Shirabe POV
A while before we were about to head back I went to a dark hallway.
"Now this is a problem."
Kirara: "Yup~"
"What should we do?"
Kirara: "Nothing? Ishido-sama hasn't given an order."
"Yes..." !
Kirara: "Shirabe?"
I fell to the floor on my knees.
Kirara: "Shirabe!"
Kiri-chan's voice sounded far away.
???: ".... YOu sHoUld HavE NeVer beEn BoRn."

Kirara: "Shirabe, Shirabe!"
"Ah...Kiri-chan?"
Kirara: "It's all right..."
Kirara hugged me tightly.
Kirara: "Everything is fine."
".... W-Why.... Why couldn't I..."
Kirara said nothing but just hugged me tighter.
*Timeskip*
Mirai POV
Tenma: "I'm back, Sasuke."
Aki: "Welcome back."
Tenma: "I'm home!"
Aki: "Oh, is this a new friend? You must be Kariya Masaki-kun!"
Kariya: "Yes."
Aki: "Tenma's told me so much about you."
Tenma: "I thought we could all celebrate together our win today."
Aki: "I see. Well, come on in."
Kariya: "Excuse my intrusion."
When we all went inside I started heading to my own room.
Aoi: "Eh? Mirai-chan you aren't joining us?"
"... Ah, I'll join later..."
Shinsuke: "Okay then..."
The four of them went upstairs to Tenma's room.
Aki: "Mirai-chan..."
"... I'll stay till tomorrow."
Aki: "Eh?"
"Tomorrow will be the final day."
Aki: "... Okay."
I entered my room and closed the door. It was dark but the moonlight made it able to see. I dropped my bag and then went over to my desk. I opened the drawer. A magazine was in there. I took the magazine out.
".... What I remembered was..."
*Later*
Shirabe POV
Kirara: "Are you sure, you're feeling better?"
"I am, so don't worry."
Kirara: "Okay then."
Endou: "What happened to you?"
Kirara and I stopped walking and quickly hid.
Kirara: *whisper* "Mamoru-san? What is he doing here?"
Endou: "Why are you doing this and taking soccer away from everyone? You ought to know more than anyone in the world how painful it feels not being able to play soccer! So why... Why are you administrating soccer?!"
Father said nothing and just looked at Endou-san.
Endou: "Stop this. Instead of continuing this stupid fight, come think with me about how to bring back old soccer! If we all think together, I'm sure we'll find an answer!"
Kirara was able to raise her hand before I quickly shot it down.
Kirara: *whisper* "What!?"
*whisper* "No powers...! What if we were caught? We can't let Endou-san know what you can do!"
Kirara: *whisper* "Fine, fine!"
Ishido: "Don't you get it? Soccer has changed. It won't return to the way it's been. Therefore I must control soccer and divide it equally amongst everyone."
Endou: "Gouenji..."
Ishido: "There's nothing left to talk about. Leave."
Father left the room through the door behind his throne.
*whisper* "Let's go."
Kirara: "Mhm."
Kirara and I quickly left the room and went after Father.
"Fath- I mean, Ishido-san...!"
Father turned around to see us.
Ishido: "... Did you see the talk between Endou and I?"
Kirara: "Yup~ sorry! We didn't mean to eavesdrop!"
Ishido: "It's fine. Is there something you need?"
Kirara: "No not really..."
"W-Well... I got a letter for you..."
Ishido: "A letter?"
I paused.
"... From Mother..."
Ishido: "... I see."
I took out the letter and handed it to Father.
Ishido: "I'll read it later, see you later Shirabe, Kirara."
Kirara: "See you!"
I bowed. Then after, Father left.
Kirara: "Geez why you gotta be so formal?"
"I-I can't help it."
Kirara: "He's your Dad, come on."
"As if you're not formal with your Dad...!"
Kirara: "W-Well..."
*sigh* "Anyway... here."
Kirara: "Eh? A letter for me too?"
"Mhm... Mom cares about you too, you know."
Kirara: "I know that, it's just..."
Kirara smiled.
Kirara: "I've never gotten a letter. I'm excited to read it!"
"Don't read it here! Read when we get home!"
Kirara: "Okay, okay!"
With that the two of us headed back home.
*Next Day*
3rd POV
The next day everyone gathered at the club room.
Endou: "You looking to join?"
???: "Yes! I want to join the soccer club!"
Kurumada: "I like your enthusiasm!"
Endou: "What's your name?"
Hikaru: "It's Hikaru!"
Haruna: "Hikaru-kun, is it? And your surname?"
Hikaru: "Surname... Um... well..."
Hikaru peeked behind him.
Hikaru: "That is... um... Well... u-um..."
Then after looking everyone behind him...
Hikaru: "...K-Kageyama. I'm Kageyama Hikaru!"
After a moment of silence...
*Click click*
Haruna had dropped her clipboard, while her along with Kidou and Endou gave him shocked faces.
Endou: "... Ka... Kageyama?! By Kageyama, you mean..."
*Slam*
Another noise was heard behind them and they turned around to see Shirabe had dropped a box she was carrying.
Shindou: "Shirabe-san?"
Shirabe: "Ah..."
Shirabe realized what she did and quickly picked up the box.
Shirabe: "Sorry..."
Then she put it away and joined the others.
Kidou: "Are you really...?"
Hikaru: "Yes. Kageyama Reiji is... My uncle."
Endou and Haruna: !
Haruna: "Nii-san..."
Kidou: "... I see."
Hamano: "Who's this Kageyama Reiji guy anyway?"
Amagi: "I've never heard of him."
Shirabe clenched her fist.
Mirai: *whisper* "Shirabe? Are you okay?"
Shirabe gave Mirai a pained smile.
Shirabe: "Just fine..."
Kidou: "But why did you try to hide that?"
Hikaru: ! "Well... I was told that my uncle did a lot of terrible things to Raimon's soccer club. So I thought if I told you my full name, you wouldn't let me in the club... I guess I won't be able to join after all. Haha... Sorry for the trouble."
Hikaru started leaving.
Tenma: "Hey..."
Endou: "Wait."
Hikaru: "Eh?"
Endou: "Kageyama Hikaru, do you like soccer?"
Hikaru: "Ah... Yes!"
Endou: "Then there's nothing more to ask."
Kidou: "It's true that the things Kageyama Reiji did to Raimon's soccer club is unforgivable. However, he truly loved soccer from his heart. Just as much as we do. It's nothing to be ashamed about."
Hikaru: "Eh?"
Kidou: "You should go lengths he was unable to reach."
Endou: "Kageyama Hikaru, you're a member of Raimon's soccer club starting from today."
Hikaru: ! "Thank you so much!"
Hikaru turned to everyone else.
Hikaru: "I'm Kageyama Hikaru. It's good to be on the team!"
Tenma: "I'm glad you're joining, Hikaru!"
Shinsuke: "Good to have you!"
Tsurugi: "So... how good are you at soccer?"
Mirai: *whisper* "Tsurugi!"
Hikaru: "Guh! How good, um... It's only been two months since I started kicking a ball, so..."
Shinsuke and Tenma: "Eh?!"
Hikaru: "I'm not so sure where to put myself."
Hayami: "Only two months?!"
Kariya: "Oh, so he's a beginner."
Kirino: "Everyone's a beginner at first."
Hikaru: "But I want to become a player who can get past other players and make really cool goals!"
Tenma: "Great, great!"
Mirai POV
Then when we started practice... Hikaru had a hard time keeping the ball with him.
Shinsuke: "He really is a beginner."
Tsurugi: "He won't be of any use in the games like that."
Then Tsurugi started walking away.
"You never know~"
Sangoku: "All right, next!"
Shindou: "Ah!"
When we looked again...
*Bang*
Hikaru: "Gah! Ow..."
Hikaru had face first ran into the goal post. Sangoku-senpai ran over to him.
Sangoku: "Are you okay?"
Kariya: "Ahaha!"
Kirino: "Kariya! It's you again, isn't it! Look forward when you dribble. If you're always looking down, you won't be able to see what's around you."
Hikaru: "...Oh, I see. That's true. Ow..."
Kariya: "What's the point in teaching him? Not like he'll be useful anyway."
Hikaru: "I'll try it again!"
Shirabe: "Hikaru."
Everyone turned behind Kirino to see Shirabe.
Kirino: "Saegusa-san?"
Shirabe: "Hold still."
Hikaru: "Eh? O-Okay..."
"Shirabe...?"
Shirabe kneed down to Hikaru face to face and started putting some medicine on his forehead.
"Shirabe..."
I was worried earlier that she was acting strange but it seems she's fine now. Thank god...
I smiled as I watched Shirabe patch up Hikaru from afar.
