<Weiss p.o.v.>
"Y/N, RUBY" I shouted.
They turned to me.
"I told you this was a terrible idea" I shouted.
"We're fine, stop worrying" Ruby shouted.
"I AM SO FAR BEYOND WORRYING" I shouted.
She just looked at me with a dumbstruck expression.
"In a good way" She asked.
"IN A BAD WAY, IN A VERY BAD WAY" I shouted.
"Well why don't we just jump" She asked.
"What are you, insane" I asked.
After I got no response from either of them I realized both of them were gone.
"OH YOU INSUFFERABLE LITTLE RED-" I shouted.
<Yang p.o.v.>
"Blake did you hear that, what should we d-" I said before seeing her point up.
When I looked up I saw...Ruby?
She was falling out of the sky towards us with Y/n not far from her.
"HEADS UUUUUUUP" Ruby shouted.
Before she hit the ground she was hit by a yellow object.
I think it was Jaune.
Wait how did she come out of the sky...why did either of them come out of the sky...
Why did Y/n fall-
SPLAT!!
I saw Y/n splatted on the ground.
I felt like I was about to vomit before seeing something weird.
His 'body' morphed into a single blob and it morphed into an unharmed Y/n.
"Hello Yang" He said simply.
I was in shock so I just waved at him.
"Did you sister and her friend just fall from the sky" Blake asked.
Before I could speak I heard growling and trees falling over.
I then saw an Ursa appear from the forest.
After an explosion appeared on it's back it was made clear that the Ursa was being ridden by the orange haired girl and....the black haired guy too?
Once it died she hopped off of it.
"Aww...it's broken" She said sadly.
She looked at it.
"Ewww" She said.
"Nora...please...don't ever do that again" The black haired guy said.
He realized she had vanished, she was at the temple looking at the pieces, more specifically the white castle piece.
"I'm Queen of the castle, I'm Queen of the castle" She sung happily.
"NORA" The black haired guy shouted.
She giggled.
"Coming Ren" She said with the piece on her head.
It slid down her head and she caught it.
"Did that girl just ride in on an Ursa" Blake asked.
Before I could speak....again, we heard some roaring and more trees falling over.
We saw Pyrrha running through the forest with a Deathstalker behind her.
As it tried attacking her she kept dodging it.
I then saw Ruby jump from the tree and land next to me.
"RUBY" I cheered.
"YANG" She cheered.
"NORA" Nora cheered.
We just watched the Deathstalker follow Pyrrha.
"Did she just run all the way here with a Deathstalker on her tail" Blake asked.
I'VE HAD ENOUGH!!!
"I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE, COULD EVERYONE JUST CHILL OUT FOR TWO SECONDS BEFORE SOMETHING CRAZY HAPPENS AGAIN" I shouted.
And for those two seconds everything stopped being crazy.
I then felt Ruby tap my shoulder.
"Um...Yang" She said.
She pointed to...Weiss holding on to a Nevermore?
"HOW COULD YOU LEAVE ME" Weiss shouted.
CAW!!!
"I said jump" Ruby said.
"She's gonna fall" Blake said.
"She'll be fine" Ruby said.
...Nevermind.
"She's falling" Ren said.
As she was falling we saw Jaune fly to her and catch her.
"Just dropping in" He asked.
Eventually they both looked at the ground...and fell.
Jaune landed first...then Weiss landed on top of him.
"My hero" Weiss said.
"My back" Jaune said hurt.
Pyrrha was then hit by the Deathstalker and flew over to us.
"Great, the gang's all here, now we can die together" I said.
"Not if I can help it" Ruby said.
She charged to the Deathstalker.
"RUBY WAIT" I shouted.
As she ran away I saw Y/n follow quickly after her.
He was fast, even though Ruby is fast because of her semblance he was faster than a normal human...about as fast as an Athlete...or a super soldier.
<Ruby p.o.v.>
I launched myself at the Deathstalker.
I tried to hit it but it knocked me back.
Once I got back up I dusted myself off.
"D-Don't worry, totally fine" I said.
I turned around and was face to face with the Deathstalker.
I shot it and ran away from it.
The Deathstalker quickly followed me.
Yang was running towards me, I also saw Y/n running to me.
Before I could reach them the Nevermore shot it's feathers and one of them got my hood.
I tried to get myself free.
"Ruby, get out of there" Yang shouted.
"I'm trying" I shouted.
The Deathstalker tried to strike me with it's tail.
Before it could hit me I saw black and white cloud my vision as I closed my eyes.
"You are so childish" Someone said.
It was...WEISS AND....Y/N NO!!!
Y/n was impaled by the stinger, other than Weiss' ice he was holding the stinger...
He tried shielding me from the stinger.
"Y-Y/n..." I said sadly.
"Are you ok Ruby" He asked simply.
I looked at his wound.
"Y-You...shielded me" I asked.
"Of course, you were in danger, and as your friend it's my job to protect you" He said with a smile.
He removed himself from the stinger.
A massive hole was in his body.
I could see the metal all throughout the edges of the wound.
Once it closed up he began examining me.
"I-I'm fine Y/n" I said.
"I know..." He said.
He smiled more...I felt safe.
I cried and hugged him.
I then turned to Weiss.
"Weiss..." I said.
"You're also dimwitted, and hyperactive, and don't even get me started on your fighting style, and I suppose I can be a bit...difficult, but if we're going to do this, we're going to have to do this together, so if you quit trying to show off I'll be...nicer" Weiss said.
"I see my words finally got to you Weiss" Y/n said with a smile.
She then pointed her sword at him.
"I've got a few questions for you, but that'll wait till later" Weiss said.
"Very well then" He said.
As Y/n helped me up I looked at the Deathstalker.
I then saw Yang ran up to me and hugged me.
"So happy you're ok" She said happily.
"It's all thanks to Y/n and Weiss" I said as I turned to my two saviors.
Yang looked at Weiss and smiled.
Then when she looked at Y/n (who was smiling at her) she made a scowl of some sort.
I guess they both want to ask Y/n questions.
I just hope it isn't about him being a machine.
We then saw the Nevermore fly around.
Y/n picked us up (yes all three of us) and ran to the others at a fast pace.
Once he reached the others he placed us down.
"Guys that thing's circling back, what are we going to do" Jaune asked.
"Look, there's no sense in dilly-dallying, our objective is right in front of us" Weiss said.
"She's right, our mission is to grab an artifact and make it back to the cliffs, there's no point in fighting these things" Ruby said.
"Run and live, that's an idea I can get behind" Jaune said.
I then saw Y/n step forward.
"So that's your plan...get the relics and head to the cliffs" He asked.
"Yep" Ruby said.
"Very well....but I will not be apart of that plan" He said.
We all looked at him in shock.
"From what I know of these creatures is that they constantly kill things, and every one we take down is a life saved...perhaps more" He said.
"At the cave we found the Deathstalker in we saw cave paintings of the Deathstalker...it must've claimed many lives before being drawn into the cave" Pyrrha said.
"Precisely, so by taking it down I will have avenged the lives of those who held the same dreams we have now, no one knows warfare like I do, and by letting these creatures live I go against everything I vowed when I joined Beacon...so run if you want..." He said.
He grabbed a black king piece, then made his arm into a large scythe blade.
"But I plan to fight" He said.
His eyes glowed a bright shade of red.
He then marched towards some ruins near a cliff.
<3rd person p.o.v.>
Once Jaune and Ruby grabbed their relics they ran off to the same ruins.
Y/n was intent on killing the both of the Grimm.
The Nevermore perch itself on a tower.
Whilst the kids were taking cover Y/n was out in the open.
The two stared at each other before the Deathstalker appeared out of the trees.
"Oh man run" Jaune said.
As everyone ran towards the ruins they saw Y/n turn around.
Nora was about to distract the Nevermore but Y/n created strange looking guns from his hands.
"Lock and load" He said.
He started firing at the Nevermore.
His guns shot powerful purple lasers.
The Nevermore was clearly hurt.
Nora joined in attacking it.
As the Deathstalker got closer Y/n fired one of his guns at the Deathstalker and the other at the Nevermore.
He was holding both at bay.
Ren and Blake appeared and attacked the Deathstalker.
The rest of them tried running across the bridge.
Ren and Blake tried running with the rest of the kids, despite the Deathstalker following them.
Pyrrha decided to give some cover-fire with Ren joining her.
Blake was almost towards the others, but the Deathstalker was right on her tail.
Just as it was about to grab her it stopped.
Y/n was holding it's tail, stopping it from moving.
Once Blake arrived she ran across the bridge.
Y/n used the tail to launch himself across.
The Nevermore swooped in and destroyed the bridge, separating the kids.
Ren, Blake, and Pyrrha were fighting the Deathstalker whilst the rest were fighting the Nevermore.
"Man we've got to get over there, they need help" Jaune said.
"Let's do this" Nora said.
Jaune looked over the edge of the destroyed bridge
"Yeah but uhh...I can't make that jump" He said.
Nora smirked and swung her weapon behind her, knocking Jaune on his back in the process.
She then transformed her weapon into a hammer and ran to the edge of the bridge.
She then slammed her hammer into the bridge, flinging Jaune across the gap.
As Jaune flew Nora fired herself towards the Deathstalker, but not before slamming her hammer into it's head.
The Deathstalker tried to sting her.
Nora dodged the attack, but knocked Blake off the side.
As Blake began falling she swung her weapon towards the bridge.
Once it latched onto the bridge she swung herself towards the Nevermore.
She began swiping at the Nevermore's head, to no avail.
She then ran down it's back, attacking it as she ventured the creature.
Once she made it to the end of the creature she jumped off of it and landed near Yang.
"It's tougher than it looks" She said.
"Then let's hit it with everything we got" Yang said.
Yang, Weiss, Blake and Ruby readied themselves.
Y/n appeared next to Ruby.
As he readied himself the Nevermore flew towards them.
All five of them fired at the Nevermore, it continued on it's current path.
When it got close enough the Nevermore smashed itself into the ruined tower.
The five kids jumped onto the falling debris to escape the destruction.
Once they made it up onto the platform Yang ran towards the Nevermore.
"None of this is working" Weiss said.
Blake swung herself onto another bridge.
"I have a plan, cover me" Ruby said.
As for Jaune and the others the Deathstalker just hit a critical point of the bridge they were on, making it about to crumble.
"We gotta move" Jaune said.
They ran towards the Deathstalker.
The Deathstalker tried to swipe at them with it's claw but Pyrrha used her shield to parry the attack.
When it tried again with the other claw Jaune parried it as well.
Once it was open for an attack Ren began firing at is.
The Deathstalker tried to sting him, he dodged the attack and latched himself onto the stinger.
He began firing at the tip.
Nora began firing at the Deathstalker.
It shielded itself, making the blasts knock back Jaune and Pyrrha.
Pyrrha transformed her sword into a spear and threw it at one of the Deathstalker's eyes.
The Deathstalker retaliated by flinging Ren away, making him hit some rubble.
Jaune noticed how loose the stinger was.
"Pyrrha" Jaune ordered.
"Done" Pyrrha responded.
She threw her shield at the loose end stinger, making it stab into the Deathstalker's carapace.
"Nora nail it" Jaune ordered.
"Heads up" Nora responded.
Nora placed herself onto Pyrrha's shield, and Pyrrha launched Nora up into the air.
As Nora began to fall she swung her hammer into the stinger, stabbing the Deathstalker in the process.
The impact made Pyrrha and Jaune fling over onto the land.
Nora launched herself onto the land too, with the Deathstalker falling into the abyss below.
Back with Ruby and the others they continued their assault.
Yang and Y/n laid down some heavy fire onto the Nevermore.
The Nevermore was clearly pissed, and so it flew towards Yang, who jumped at the Nevermore.
As she was just barely in it's beak she began firing inside it's mouth.
"I HOPE YOU'RE HUNGRY" She said.
As she jumped out the Nevermore slammed itself into the cliff-face.
Weiss then sped towards the Nevermore and froze it's tail-feathers to ruins just as it was about to fly.
As Weiss ran to Ruby Blake launched her Gambol Shroud at Yang, and they both held each end tightly, making a slingshot.
Ruby jumped at the slingshot...for she was the ammo.
Weiss used her glyphs to stabilize Ruby.
"Of course you would come up with this idea" Weiss said.
"Think you can make the shot" Ruby asked.
"Hmph, can I" Weiss asked.
Ruby turned to her.
"Can yo-" Ruby asked.
"Of course I can" Weiss said.
Before Ruby was about to be launched...
"Ruby, let me help" Y/n said.
"How" She asked.
And with that he did something extraordinary.
He melted into a puddle of metal goo and leapt at Ruby's scythe.
He then absorbed himself into it, changing it...transforming it.
The scythe was now upgraded, much to Ruby's delight.
The rocket boosters on the head of the scythe started up.
Once at max charge Ruby was launched, and thanks to Y/n the scythe's rockets she zoomed into the Nevermore easily.
She hooked onto it's neck.
Weiss summoned some Glyphs along the cliff-face.
Ruby ran up the Glyphs, with the Nevermore in tow.
When she reached the top...
SHLING!!!
The Nevermore's head was chopped off with a clean cut.
Ruby flipped into the air and landed with a pose.
The Nevermore's body fell into the depths below.
Everyone just watched in awe at what had just transpired.
<Y/n p.o.v.>
Mission complete.
"WE DID IT WE DID IT, Y/N YOU WERE SO AWESOME" Ruby cheered hugging me/the scythe.
"YOU did it, I simply became a scythe, you were the one with the plan and stuff" I said.
"Aww shucks you know how to make a girl blush" She said happily.
We both laughed.
I melted myself out of her scythe, reverting it back to normal, and I regained my form as well.
"How long have you been able to do that" She asked.
"About...10 seconds ago" I shrugged.
She smirked.
"You've been holding out on me" She said.
"Suuuuuure" I said to amuse her.
We made it back with the others.
Yang and Weiss still looked at me with their scowls, not sure what I did wrong but...ok.
Just as we were about to leave I noticed something.
There was a drone in the trees, it resembled a bird, like a Falcon.
It just watched me with it's giant red optics.
It then flew away into the sky....someone was watching us, more specifically..
...me!
We made it back to the Academy with our relics.
And the ceremony started.
"Russel Thrush, Cardin Winchester, Dove Bronzewing, and Sky Lark, the four of you retrieved the black bishop pieces, from this day forward you will work together as..team CRDL, led by Cardin Winchester" Ozpin said.
Once they left Jaune, Pyrrha, Nora, and Ren appeared on the stage.
"Jaune Arc, Lie Ren, Pyrrha Nikos, and Nora Valkyrie, the four of you retrieved the white rook pieces, from this day forward you will work together as...team JNPR, led by Jaune Arc" Ozpin said, much to Jaune's surpise.
Once they left Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang appeared on the stage.
"Blake Belladonna, Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, and Yang Xiao Long, the four of you retrieved the white knight pieces, from this day forward you will work together as...team RWBY, led by Ruby Rose" Ozpin said making Ruby and Yang smile.
Once they left (although they stayed behind like the others) I was called to the stage.
"Y/n L/n, although you were not able to be selected into a full team you collected the Black King piece, and due to a special reason you will be placed into the one man team known as....team STEL (Steel), with you of course leading" Ozpin said.
He then walked over to me.
"Remember to come meet me in my office to fully get you ready for Beacon" He said.
Once the ceremony was over I decided to go to Ozpin's office, not like I had anything else to do.
As I headed to his office I began calculating what I saw.
The drone was definitely not of this world, the materials didn't match anything on the periodic table, I continued calculating and I came to one conclusion...someone 'above' was watching me fight.
For what purpose I have no idea but I will find out who was watching me...or will they find me first?!
Whilst I was in 'thought' I noticed I was suddenly grabbed by my neck and placed against the wall.
I was held by Yang, and she did not look pleased with me.
Neither did Weiss or Blake, well Blake had her usual glare on but this time it was different.
"What are you" Yang asked.
Ruby appeared from behind Yang.
"Yang please stop this" She pleaded.
"What are you, what are you hiding, you're definitely not human or Faunus" She said.
Oh no...
"What makes you think that" I asked.
"Earlier on in the day you mentioned about Ruby's heart rate, you also regenerate wounds that would kill a normal person..." Blake said.
"You don't bleed, you don't feel pain, you also have superhuman strength and speed that rivals a bodybuilder..." Weiss said.
"And the footage of the dust store robbery showed you surviving explosions, and when I hit you in the shoulder you told me you were made of metal, you also morph you arms into weapons, absorb other weapons and upgrade them..." Yang said.
I then heard a voice add in,
"You also mentioned about your identity being revealed due to saving Weiss from an explosion" The voice said.
It was Jaune, he was with the rest of his team.
"And let's not forgot what you said about knowing about life not being a fairy tale, and how the world would end up like yours, meaning you're not of this world" Yang said.
"You heard..." I said softly.
"And you mentioned the word calculated when we were in the lockers, as if you were a machine.." Yang said.
"That's because I am..." I said.
Everyone was shocked except Ruby.
"And let me guess, you also questioned how I managed to survive a fall from a great height unscathed, and how I managed to survive the Deathstalker's stinger impaling me, and how no-one knows warfare like I do, and how my eyes glowed correct" I asked.
They nodded.
"Y/n..." Ruby said.
"It's alright Ruby, I will tell them everything, friendships are based on trust, that was one of the first things John Connor taught me, although after this I'm not sure this friendship will last" I said.
Yang let go of me.
"I will tell you everything tonight, meet me at team RWBY's dorm and I will show you what I am, I have to go to Ozpin's office now but I will head to the dorm afterwards" I said with a smile.
I walked away towards Ozpin's office.
Hopefully nothing bad occurs from telling them the truth.
<Yang p.o.v.>
Once he left I turned to Ruby who had her head down.
"So he's actually a machi-" I said before...
SLAP!!
Ruby slapped me across the face, it hurt.
"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU ALL" She said with tears in her eyes.
She was upset and angry.
"HE IS TRYING TO FIT IN AND YOU HARASS HIM LIKE THIS, YES HE'S A MACHINE, BUT THAT MACHINE SAVED MY LIFE MULTIPLE TIMES, PROTECTED WEISS FROM BEING BLOWN UP, HELPED US AND SAVED US AND YOU THANK HIM WITH THIS" She said.
"Ruby-" I said.
"NO, I'M NOT HEARING IT, ONCE HE TELLS YOU THE TRUTH I WANT YOU ALL TO THINK ABOUT WHAT HE'S DONE FOR US THEN ASK YOURSELVES IF HE'S STILL A MACHINE...OR A PERSON" She said as she marched away to the dorms.
I didn't want to upset her, and she is right.
"She is right...he protected her without hesitation, back at the Dust store he saved her without even knowing her, he protected her from the Deathstalker..." I said.
"He saved me from the Dust explosion, and the horde of Grimm..." Weiss said.
"Guys, we should give him a chance" Jaune said.
"Yeah...we'll hear him out, and then we'll make our opinions afterwards" Blake said.
<Timeskip>
Both my team and Jaune's team waited my dorm.
We then heard a knock on the door.
Blake opened it, revealing Y/n.
He was smiling but it was obvious a hint of sadness in it as well.
He walked to the center of the room.
We watched as he sighed deeply.
"As you know I'm...not human...but you don't know the full story...what I truly am" He said.
His eyes glew once more.
"I am a Terminator, a creation of Skynet, the Artificial Intelligence responsible for the death of humanity, we were created to hunt down what was left of the humans, the same humans that continued to resist against Skynet, as the war between man and machine raged onwards more models were created, eventually the models led to me" He said.
"What model are you" I asked.
"Before I explain what model I am...I should probably show you exactly what I am, my endoskeleton is a recycled T-800 model so it should give you an idea as to what Terminators are" He said.
We watched as his body turned silver and began slimming, eventually it formed into a skeleton...a very scary skeleton.
We were all scared because of this new transformation.
"I am Terminator unit EVLV-1, prime directive...EVOLVE" He said.
He reverted back into his human form.
"How come when you melt into a puddle your endoskeleton doesn't show" Ruby asked.
"I can melt it at will, this way I can take a physical approach if needed" He said.
He then turned back to us.
"Now...I should tell you exactly how I got here" He said.
He told us everything he said when he was interrogated with Ruby.
Not gonna lie it was a lot to take in.
A world ravaged by war, I can see why he wanted to help our world.
"I am sorry for keeping this from you all, as I was new to this world I didn't know who else to trust this information to, I trusted Ruby enough to keep this secret, admittedly I had Ruby as an experiment to see if it would work out well, and it seems so far it seemed to do just that, but now I'm not so sure anymore" He said.
He noticed we all were having mixed feelings about this new information.
"I appear to have caused some tension and discomfort, I shall take my leave then" He said walking out.
"Y/n wait.." Ruby said.
"It's fine Ruby, I calculated this wouldn't work out well enough on my end, but for what it's worth...thanks, for being my friend" He said as he walked away.
As he walked away Ruby began to cry.
I have to be the good big sister again.
I walked out the door, grabbed him by his collar and I dragged him back
"Hold on Y/n, I know we didn't come off as...friendly as of recent, but how about...we fix that, ok" I asked.
"You...want me to stay" He asked.
"Well to be fair you did save us a lot, you also happen to be a strong fighter, and it's not up to us to ruin your dream of helping people..." I said.
"And so what if you're not human or Faunus, that doesn't mean you can't stay" Jaune said.
The others (surprisingly Weiss also) agreed.
This made him happy, and it also made Ruby happy.
"Well, that's once problem done, now onto my next one" He said.
"What problem" Jaune asked.
"You see because I'm a one man team Ozpin needed to keep the dorms for full teams to prevent wasted space, so I'm now supposed to find another accommodation, be it sharing with a team or find somewhere else to dwell" He said.
"W-Well you could always...chill with us" Ruby said.
We turned to her.
"I-I mean if it's not too much trouble" She said fidgeting her fingers.
My team and I sighed.
"Very well...but we need to lay down some ground rules, first off no peeking when we're getting changed" Weiss said.
"I'm a machine, I'm not affected by peeking at others, but I will oblige" He said.
"Other than general privacy please knock before entering" I said.
After a few ground rules were set we were all set for him to stay.
And with that we all decided to head for bed,actually...
"Hey Y/n..when we're asleep what do you do" I asked.
"I tend to go over battle data and make simulations to increase combat effectiveness" He said.
"I see...mind if I ask for a favor" I asked.
He turned to me.
"Do you remember what you did yesterday...with the warming up thing...could you do that again please" I asked nervously.
His arm extended into a tentacle like object and it slithered over to me.
I hugged it and fell asleep as it warmed me up.
I then had one last question on my mind.
What else can they do~?
<In orbit in ??? p.o.v.>
I was sharpening my blade when my ship sent me a notification.
The drones I had dispatched to the planet had returned with viable data.
Apparently the planet is called Remnant, there's monsters who would make for great sport, humans and humanoid creatures with animal traits prove for worthy trophies, said humanoid creatures have an ongoing conflict with humanity and...huh?
This is interesting!
A machine, one that proves to be a great warrior..and a worthy trophy.
Y/n l/n...the Terminator!
He will make for a worthy addition to my trophy wall.
In order for my new clan to flourish I need a show of strength, and a trophy such as him would show it splendidly.
Just you wait Y/n...
