Lee Daehyun
After a few days, finally, it's already Friday. As my brother said, he never lets me in a taxi cab or bus anymore. He takes me and back to school. He hasn't made someone take me home yet again. Yesterday, nothing really happened, Jaemin did bother me again but it wasn't worse because I always stood beside my brother so Jaemin wouldn't bother me.
We had PE yesterday, we didn't do much as of just orientation.
It's already past lunch, we're down already to the last subject. My current subject just left the classroom. I turn to my left, looking at Jisung as he looks at me with a questioning look.
"Jisung ah" I smiled when I just figured out something in my mind. "What?"
"Do me a favor" I smiled sweetly at him as he gave me a confused look. "After class, will you hand me my bag at the parking lot before leaving" Jisung looks stunned at what I say making Chenle look at us, "Where are you going?" They asked curiously.
"Just around, besides our science teacher barely recognize us" I smirk as I stood up, "Just do as I say and don't tell anybody" I silently went out the classroom running into to restroom, waiting for our next subject teacher to enter the classroom.
As soon as she went in, I quickly sighed in relief and started wandering around the school. I was at the end of the hallway, about to turn when I heard a ball bouncing and shoes snickering inside the gym. I walk to the gym door glancing inside, basketball players were practicing. I went in, glancing around.
There wasn't any teacher or coach around, just another student telling the other players things.
That was the team captain, I guess. He seems familiar as if I saw him already. I took a look at him again, realizing that it was Yuta Sunbaenim, he looks scary.
I sat down at the highest part of the bench watching basketball players running to end by end of the court. I lean my back to the wall, taking a deep breath as I feel free from class. I stretch my arm about to take my phone when I heard a sudden blow of a whistle making me flinch. I looked at where the whistle come from, my heart was beating fast then calm down when I found out that I didn't get caught from cutting class.
"10 minutes break" I heard Yuta sunbaenim shouted.
I was at the edge of the gym, I can be barely be seen. They all are focusing on the practice. I took my phone from my pockets and started scrolling through Instagram, I saw a recent post from Ashley, I double tap and picture before commenting something. 'Looking good❤'
Then started scrolling again. After scrolling for a few minutes I heard coughed near me making flinch and quickly lookup. I see Jaehyun Sunbaenim bending over to my height while looking at me with a smile.
"Annyeonghaseyo, sunbaenim" I greeted him, a little flustered from getting caught. He sat beside me making me taken aback a little. "What are you doing here, Daehyun ssi? " He asked looking at me, his dimples showing making my heart race.
"Uhm, you see. Uhmm. " I stuttered not really knowing what to say. I can't just tell him that I skipped class. "It's fine. I won't report you even though I'm friends with most of our School body officers" He chuckled making me sigh in relief.
There was a moment of silence between us making the air awkward for me, I don't know to him. "Erm, I didn't know Yuta Sunbaenim is the team captain," I said trying to make the tension not awkward.
"Oh yeah, he's really great in leadership," He says as I nod, not knowing what to say.
"I still can't believe Donghyuckie has a sister" Jaehyun Sunbaenim commented. "How do you know my brother? " I asked curiously.
"Oh he's friends with one of our varsity, I think he's your classmate? " Jaehyun look at me questioning if this person is my classmate. "Who is it? " I asked out of curiosity. "Na Jaemin" His name left out of his tongue making my face fell of.
Jaemin plays basketball?
"He plays basketball? " I asked completely surprised by it. He chuckled at my reaction. "He hasn't come back to play yet"
"May I ask why? " I asked
"Personal problem, I think it will be better if you ask him" Jaehyun Sunbaenim suggests and I nod.
"Jaehyun ah! " A sudden shout to Jaehyun Sunbaenim. We both look to see who it was and it was another player. He comes towards us as I give him a little bow as he smiled. "Who's this? " He asked to Jaehyun.
"Donghyuck's sister, Daehyun ssi"
Daehyun ssi? Oh my heart is beating fast
"Ah really? They don't look like each other" The unknown player commented making me chuckle.
I get that a lot
"My name is Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul, Korean name is Lee Young Heum, Chinese name is Li Yong Qin" He introduced himself but only making more confused on what he just said.
"Cheetah what? " I asked, dumbfounded. Jaehyun Sunbaenim and he chuckled at my reaction. "Just Ten" He added as I nod. "He's thai, the same year as me" Jaehyun sunbaenim added, as I just realize that he didn't look much of a Korean.
"It was nice meeting you, sunbaenim," I said politely smiling at him as he nods. "Hyung" Another voice from behind him called neither Ten sunbaemin nor Jaehyun Sunbaenim. They both turn to the voice as I didn't really see who it was until he stood beside Ten Sunbaenim.
"Daehyun ssi? " My eyes widen in surprise. "Xuxi Oppa?"
"Guess, you already know each other" Jaehyun Sunbaenim commented.
"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in class?" Xuxi oppa asked as I gritted my teeth as I realize that there is a possibility that he'll tell my brother about it. "You are so like your brother" Xuxi oppa chuckled. "He skips class? " I asked.
"There are times that he did" I nod when I feel at ease.
"Hyung, back to practice," Xuxi oppa said to them quickly as they all nod. "See you around" Ten Sunbaenim waved at me.
"It was nice talking to you again, Daehyun ssi" Jaehyun stood up giving me a smile before running back to the center. My heart melts whenever I saw him smile. I smiled silently as my heart races.
"You like him, don't you?" A sudden voice from down the bench talked. I quickly turned when I saw Jaemin walking towards me with a smirk on his face before sitting beside me.
"What makes you even think that? " I say take aback, slightly nervous.
"It's obvious how you look at him," Jaemin said in a duh tone. "I am not obvious," I said in my defense before I even realize what I just said. Jaemin noticed it and smirked in satisfaction.
"Whatever, What are you doing here? " I asked questioning him. "I was told to watch practice today" He simply said.
"Heard you were a player as well" I commented
"Yeah heard of it too" I look at Jaemin dumbfounded as he laughs. I noticed that he is avoiding something. Like how Jaehyun Sunbaenim told me that he stopped playing for personal reasons. "What are you doing here? " He asked, emphasizing the 'you' word.
"Got bored at class" I simply said as he nods. "Understandable " He commented and I chuckle.
He seems not teasing me.
"So you like Jaehyun Hyung? "
Nevermind, I take it back
"Can you shut up? " I hissed at him.
"No, I shall tell him, you know. That was a great idea" He said about to stand up but I quickly pull him down to sit.
"Come on, I just find him cute. That's all" I glare at him as he looks at me amused. "So you like him" He confirms. "I just find him cute, it's not like I really like him" I sighed
"Then what is it? Because it seems like you like him" He says.
"You're nosy." I stated making him chuckle, "It's just something like a crush thingy" I stated.
I don't know why I'm saying this to him but oh well.
"How's my punch? " I asked out of nowhere, he raises his dress shirt uniform revealing his abs making my eyes widen and then pushing him while looking away from him blushing hard. "Yah! " I exclaimed.
"It's perfectly fine. You didn't leave a mark on it" He ignored the fact that he just lifted his uniform in front of me. I gave him a look while I'm still flustered by it. He notices that I'm blushing, he smirks then chuckle. I nudge him, "Don't you even think about doing it again" I threaten.
"You don't want to see it? " He asked making me look taken aback.
I mean, it would be fine if you aren't Na Jaemin, the most annoying person I know.
"Shut the fuck up" I hissed blushing hard and then looked away while I heard Jaemin chuckled.
I check my phone for the time and it's almost time to go home. I sighed, thinking about getting late to the parking lot by a few minutes since I know for sure that Donghyuck Oppa won't leave me here.
Jaemin and I are in silence. I look over to him and see him watching the practice. He looks serious. I studied his face, his eyes are round. His skin looks soft, I want to touch it. His lips---- Jaemin look over to me, looking at him. I quickly looked away blushing but I first saw Jaemin had a small smile on his face.
After a few minutes, I stood up about to walk away from him. "Where are you going? " Jaemin asked. "Parking lot. My brother must be finding me" He stood up, standing beside me. "What are you doing? " I asked confused.
"Coming with you" He stated, "Fine. Don't be annoying " I sighed as we started walking away, we were about to open the door when someone shouts from behind. "Jaemin ah!! " We both turn around to see Jaehyun Sunbaenim, Ten Sunbaenim, and someone unfamiliar running towards Jaemin.
They all reached Jaemin, "Jaemin, How long were you here? " The unfamiliar person asked. "Long enough" He replied. Jaehyun Sunbaenim was about to say something to Jaemin but his eyes caught mine. "Daehyun ssi? "
Ten Sunbaenim and the unfamiliar person both looked at me surprised. "Annyeonghaseyo " I bow at them a little. "What are you doing here? " Ten Sunbaenim asked while looking at Jaemin and me.
"Just about to leave. " I replied. "With Jaemin? " Jaehyun Sunbaenim asked curiously. "I think so, we're heading in the same way I guess," I say unsure.
"Hi, I'm Huang Kun-Hang, I'm in the same year as your brother." He smiled as he put out his hand for a handshake. I look at him, he has a prince like a face. "I'm Lee Daehyun" I smiled then shakes his hand.
I was too busy looking at him before we let go of our hands, Jaemin stood right in front of me making us flinch a little and lets go of our hands. We all looked at Jaemin confused, I look over to them as I notice Jaehyun Sunbaenim remains his calm self by only smiling making me more confused. I look back at Jaemin and he seems tense but calm.
"We have to go. His brother must be finding her" Jaemin said calmly. I looked at him confused but remain silent.
I bow a little to them saying goodbye as Jaemin opens the door. I followed him silently as the whole walk to the parking lot was silent. I didn't ask Jaemin what he just did was confusing instead I stayed silent until we reached the parking lot.
Standing there at the side where they always park, Jisung holding my bag with Chenle, Jeno Oppa was smoking again and Xuxi Oppa leaning on his motorcycle wiping off his sweat.
My brother standing right in front from a distance watching as with his left eyebrow pulling up in confusion. His eyes kept diverting to Jaemin and me. I sigh as I walked past Jaemin taking my bag from Jisung.
"Thanks" I mumbled then walking towards my brother. I slung my bag on my arms then taking the helmet from Donghyuck oppa's hands.
I can't even speak about it. I'm confused.
"Are you okay? Did he do something to you? " Donghyuck Oppa asked worriedly before taking a glance at Jaemin. "I'm fine. I'm hungry" I sighed, he chuckled.
"Come on, I'll take you somewhere to eat" My brother smiles at me making my face lit up. "Renjunie, Follow us." Donghyuck Oppa said to Renjun Oppa who was beside us.
"What about us?! " Chenle shouts.
"You can come if you want" Donghyuck Oppa sighed as he gave everyone a look even Jaemin.
