CHIKA: "Come in!"
AKI: "I gotta admit, your room is very colorful."
CHIKA: "Huh, Waaaaaaah! I totally forgot to clean up!"
AKI: "It's okay, it doesn't bother me."
CHIKA: "Sorry about my parents back there, they're always jumping to conclusions."
MITO: "Chikaaaaa!"
CHIKA: "Whoa, Mito?! Sorry, hold on a second."
AKI: "Okay."
MITO: "I brought some juice."
CHIKA: "I was just about to get some though!"
MITO: "What, I'm not allowed in? So secretive... Oh, but I'm sure you've been keeping your room clean."
CHIKA: "I have!"
MITO: "Your boyfriend won't like you if you bring him into a dirty room."
CHIKA: "He's not my boyfriend!"
MR. TAKAMI: "Stare..."
CHIKA: "Dad, I see you hiding over there! My room is fine, it's not messy!"
MITO: "Are you sure about that?"
CHIKA: "Ugh! Mito, I thought you were going out today! Just leave us alone!"
MITO: "Fine, I'll give you two some privacy and alone time. Tell your boyfriend I said hi."
CHIKA: "He's not my boyfriend!"
*SLAM*
CHIKA: "Ugh. That Mito..."
AKI: "She's your sister, huh? You guys seem very close."
CHIKA: "Do we? We argue a lot, actually. Sometimes I just want to make her shut up."
Wait...WHAT?!
AKI: "I-I can't imagine you acting like that."
CHIKA: "What? Why not?"
AKI: "It's a little... overdramatic, don't you think?"
CHIKA: "Huh? All I want to do is to rub her face in something and prove her wrong."
AKI: "Oh, that's what you meant."
CHIKA: "Mmm, this juice is so good!"
AKI: "Yeah, it really is! i thought store bought or vending machine juice was good, but making some of your own at home is way better!"
CHIKA: "My mom and sisters used to make it for us, but now I can make it, too. It's like eating a whole bunch of yummy mikan at once!"
AKI: "You sure do love mikan, don't you?"
CHIKA: "I do! For my independent project over summer break in elementary school, I made a mikan encyclopedia! The teacher loved it."
AKI: "That sounds rather intriguing."
CHIKA: "I think I put it somewhere around... Whoa! Waaaah!"
*THUD*
CHIKA: "Ow, that hurt..."
AKI: "At least I broke your fall..."
CHIKA: "Huh? Wah! I'm sorry, I'll get off of you."
MR. TAKAMI: "What was that noise?! What's going on in here?! Are you hurting my little girl?!"
CHIKA: "I fell! I was trying to get a book, Dad!"
MR. TAKAMI: "Oh, that's fine. Please continue."
CHIKA: "Go away!"
*SLAM*
CHIKA: "Sorry about that."
AKI: "As long as your okay it's fine."
Whoa, look at this notebook that fell.
AKI: "Chika, is this your lyric notebook?"
CHIKA: "Huh? Oh, that's right! I fell asleep while I was writing last night and just left it there."
AKI: "You did? Were you writing a new song for the festival?"
CHIKA: "Sure am!"
AKI: "Oh, I probably shouldn't bother you for too long then."
CHIKA: "No, it's fine! I was planning on taking a break from writing today anyways. Gotta rest sometimes!"
AKI: "Really? That's good I guess. Umm..."
CHIKA: "Hm?"
AKI: "Can I...look in your notebook?"
CHIKA: "What?! That's..."
AKI: "Oh, I wouldn't force you to show me! Plus, if you don't want to give away your new song, I totally understand. I'm just so curious at the thought of seeing behind the scenes of Aqours' song writing."
CHIKA: "Hmm... Okay."
AKI: "For real?!"
CHIKA: "Yeah. I think you're trustworthy enough. Go ahead."
AKI: "Thanks. Don't mind if I do."
CHIKA: "Yup."
AKI: "..."
So let's start our magic.
CHIKA: "..."
Everyone's magic.
CHIKA: "Oh my gosh. It's so embarrassing having someone read my own lyrics right in front of me. I know I said you could look at them, but don't...scrutinize them."
AKI: "No way, I have to! I may never have this chance again!"
CHIKA: "Uggghhh I-I can't stand this!"
MR. TAKAMI: "WHAT CAN'T YOU STAND?! YOU HAVE TO?! NEVER GET THIS CHANCE AGAIN?! WHAT IS GOING ON?!"
CHIKA: "LYRIC READING!!!"
MR. TAKAMI: "Oh, that's a relief. Please continue."
CHIKA: "GO AWAY!"
*SLAM*
CHIKA: "How embarrassing..."
AKI: "It's not embarrassing, your family clearly cares about you."
CHIKA: "I guess so..."
The pages are filled black with keywords. There's more than one person's handwriting here, too. The other members write in it as well!
AKI: "So this is how Aqours' songs are written."
CHIKA: "Ahaha... Sorry it's so messy."
AKI: "It's no big deal, I always write all over the paper when I get writers block."
CHIKA: "I wish I could write more fluidly! It'd be nice to say just once that the ideas were flowing through me. I don't have that kind of talent, though. I'm just normal! I always fret over it and make everyone wait until the last second. I was the one that suggested we form Aqours, so I wish I could at least write without causing everyone trouble. I haven't had much success with that though."
AKI: "Chika..."
CHIKA: "But still... I want to write good songs for Aqours. I want to write the words that will bring out the best in us. If I don't have the natural talent, then I'll just have to think and write and think and write...and spend lots of time doing it!"
AKI: "..."
CHIKA: "Ah.... Ahahahaha! This is how I always try my best to write lyrics. But in the end I'm always too slow and Riko rushes me, then everyone else helps me with it."
AKI: "Chika. I don't think you're normal."
CHIKA: "What? No, I really am."
AKI: "I feel like writing one song takes so much energy. You don't just write what's in your heart, but you make sure it gets to your listener's. Not everyone can do that. Worrying about it and suffering through to the end to write your lyrics makes them special!"
And I wish that I could realize that myself...
CHIKA: "That makes them special..."
AKI: "I can tell just by looking at this notebook how much effort, love, and hope was put into your songs. The passion you put into Aqours is practically overflowing from the lyrics! That's why Aqours' songs resound in people's hearts. That's why you guys shine so brightly when you sing them, too."
CHIKA: *Giggle* "You embarrass me when you put it like that."
AKI: "I'm serious though! It may seem a little pretentious, but I really mean it! Thanks for letting me take a look!"
CHIKA: "You're welcome. I know you're being serious, too. You're not the kind of person that would lie. I always try my best to write songs, but hearing you say that takes a burden off my shoulders. I'm so happy that my songs help everyone in Aqours shine."
AKI: "Yeah, and it's not just me. I'm sure lots of people get strength from you and Aqours."
CHIKA: "Thanks."
AKI: "Well, thanks for having me. The juice was great."
CHIKA: "It was great talking to you! We should talk again sometime."
AKI: "Definitely... Hey, Chika?"
CHIKA: "Yes?"
AKI: "Do your best with writing those lyrics! I'll be cheering for you!"
CHIKA: "I will! Don't doubt the power of the normal monster Chika Takami!"
AKI: *Laugh* "Oh, Chika."
CHIKA: "Hahaha! But really, thank you so much, Aki. I think I'll be able to write great lyrics thanks to you."
AKI: "Ooh! I see you're writing on a new page, I won't tell anyone about it, so don't worry."
CHIKA: "Oh, these aren't lyrics. I'm just writing down what happened in a dream I had last night. So it's nothing special."
AKI: "A journey across a desert, across the sea, a magic carpet. It's like something out of Arabian Nights. This would make a great song!"
It would also tie into Ruby's Egyptian style costume designs.
CHIKA: "Really? I guess I could use them as lyrics. Then again, even just reading these, I can't make any sense of them."
AKI: "I wonder what kind of song this could create?"
CHIKA: "You'll have to wait and see! I'll write a song that makes Aqours shine brighter than ever. Definitely!"
