As I journey through this curious and heartwarming land, I can’t help but get a sense that I’ve been here before, walked similar territory before, chased the same illumination before, yet flashes of occurrences in the past keep popping up in my mind, and I don’t believe I prevailed previously; in fact I recall much despair.
Trying to stay optimistic, I’m haunted by recollections of deceit, depression, and darkness. Should I continue in in my exploration? Or turn back on account of the familiarity and fear of what may be to come? How I wish that my mind is wrong, and that this potentially new territory is using paranoia as the only attempt to deter me from the heavenly illumination.
I will battle the memories as long as I possibly can in an attempt to succeed and hopefully discover that this place is truly undiscovered…
Yet even as I continue, I wonder: Have I been here before?
