Diana's POV
I woke up panting and sweating. I just had a bad dream. A nightmare of everything I have being taken away from me. That can never happen to me, I don't know what I'd do if it did.
I look over to my bed clock and it was just 5 in the morning, hmm too early to get up now I thought. Besides school starts by 8am and I usually wake by 6am to get to school by 7:45. Let's say I work by my schedule.
I guess it wouldn't hurt waking up earlier for a change.
I walk straight into my bathroom, which is very large, with large mirrors in one corner, towel closet in another corner, my beauty/makeup parlour at the other corner which comprises of my makeup kits, Moisturizers, expensive fashion perfume collection and a lot more, you know beauty secrets stuffs. And I also have my toilet at the other corner as well. Every corner is just spacious and large exactly how I like it.
After brushing up my mouth and also using some fruity smelling mouth wash, I head straight for the shower.
After shower, I went to my closet to pick out an outfit to wear, talking about closets, my isn't just like any closet, mines a walk in closet, I knew it was really big after I saw my other friends closets, nothing close to mine, well except Lauren's. Her own is almost as big as mine but not bigger.
I hate it when other people's stuffs are bigger and better than mine, it irritates me in a way I don't like.
And talking about outfits, we do have a school uniform but we don't wear it all the time, we only wear it during official meetings, or when we're having visitors at school, or having school competitions, and all that.
And I like that about my school, you get to show off your new designers clothes and shoes at school and you also get to show off our school uniform to those schools who doesn't have any. A shame.
But to tell the truth I kinda preferred my own outfits to some school uniform. Wearing my own outfits to school makes me feel really confident, like a real grown up, school uniforms only makes one look like a kid and you'll always be able to tell they're still in high school but in outfits , one can never be sure if you're still in high school or not.
I pick out a really cute outfit with a designers shoe. I blow dry my long silky dark brown hair and added a curl to it. My hair wasn't naturally curly but I didn't like leaving it plain straight so I always curl it. I've always been envious of Lauren's natural wavy curls, its so cool, one of the things I admire about her.
I looked myself in the mirror and loved what I saw, wow I am so beautiful and gorgeous in my dress. I added a fringe to my hair, coming down just above my eyes. I don't blame boys for crushing too hard, I'd crush to if I were them.
Oh Mason Kendall, my Prince Mason, I'll so get you, you think you're too stubborn and handsome to be among my crushers?, I'll so show you that when I want something, I always get it in the end, I'll make sure you fall head over hills for me, just wait and see.

I was applying a little more makeup when I heard a knock on my door.
"who is it?!!! " I yelled out but I knew exactly who it was. Zoila. One of our maids, she was more like my personal maid, I've known her all my life since I was born. She also has a daughter who's around my age, Valentina's her name, I think, I'm not sure, I'm not really that cosy with her, I mean she's just the help. They're Mexican but they live here with us. My parents took them in because they have no one.
"It's zoila dear, its time to wake up my dear" she said out with her Latin accent.
"I'm already up OK, just give me a minute I'll be out! " I yelled out so she could hear me from my makeup room. I needed to look extra pretty for Mason.
After putting on a bit more makeup, I opened the door for zoila.
"Wow Diana, you look very beautiful and you're all dressed and ready, when did you get up?" she said acting all surprised.
"Well I woke up an hour earlier than usual and decided to get ready for school rather than sitting and Waiting around doing nothing" I said obviously sounding proud of my self.
"Thats really good my dear, you should always act this way more often, its a good thing " she said and my mood changed immediately.
"What is that supposed to mean?, what?, you didn't like the way I used to act before?, what do you mean by 'act this way more often' huh?!" I was offended now, what was she trying to say, that I'm lazy or something?
"Ah, no I'm sorry miss Diana, I'll go fix your breakfast now, if you don't mind" she said and was about to walk away.
"Hey you come back here, I'm not done talking to you " I motioned my hand for her to move back, I hate rubbish.
"What else did you want to say Diana"
"Huh, look at you, you're really getting more rude by the day you know, first you insult me in my own house then you try to walk out on me and now you're questioning me!, really?! "
"Like I said, I am sorry for doing all those things to you, forgive me "
I knew she didn't mean it so I just scoff at her.
"Yeah right, whatever!, now go make me my breakfast, or would you like me to kneel and beg before that's done too?"
"Sorry, I'll go do it now " she said and left in a hurry.

"Someone's up early for a change " my mom said once I came downstairs.
"Morning to you too dear mother " I said sarcastically.
"Oh don't use that tone on me young lady"
"Whatever " I said trying to block her out. I don't need anything to ruin my mood today.
"Seriously I am your mother and you should address me with respect, and watch your tone when you talk to me, you hear me? " she said babbling to my ear.
"Ok mom, I hear you" I said trying so hard to sound remorseful. But don't get me wrong I'm not.
"Good, you know I miss you Diana, it feels like I don't really see you as much anymore " she said trying to sound sweet like a mom. But please she can't fool me.
"Yea, well it's not like its my fault that we don't see each other often, you don't have my time because you're always busy with your work " I said a little bit annoyed. Why was she trying so hard to spoil my mood this morning.
"You're right, and its my fault and I'm very sorry for that, its just that work's gotten so busy that I don't even have time for myself anymore " she said trying to explain things to me but I just nodded in agreement.
"Ok, I have to eat now, can't talk while eating " I said so desperate to end the conversation. We've been through this before, I've heard that same explanation all my life, over and over and over again. I try not to care anymore.
My parents has always been workaholics, didn't have much time for me. Always focused on their jobs more than me. I've learnt to accept it, And I try not to make it bother me anymore but it still hurts, so badly.
"Hey angel, good morning, you look lovely " my dad said and gave me a kiss on the cheek when he came downstairs.
"Hm" I mumbled and continued with my food.
I noticed him looking from me to mom, then he gave my mom a look and my mom just shrugged, and he raised an eyebrow at her and she also raised hers.
They were having serious conversation with each other just with signs and facial expressions. Typical parents of mine.
Immediately I finished up my breakfast, Gary my driver came in. Right on time, gotta bounce and save myself from more parents drama, I have my own drama to play at school.
"I'm off, bye guys see ya later " I said to my parents and walked off quickly. I heard their voices yelling out goodbyes to me and I just rolled my eyes. Whatever!
"You look lovely today miss Diana " Gary said as I entered the car.
"so I don't look lovely the other days?" I said.
"No that's not what I meant " Gary tried to explain.
"I'm just messing with you Gary, thank you " I said genuinely to him and smiled.
"You're most welcome miss" he said and smiled back.

"Hey I love your hair fringe, totally hot" Brooklyn said to me when she walked up to me at my locker.
"Haha thank you my dear Brook " I said to her feeling satisfied.
"So what's the occasion, who're you trying to impress?" she asked like she could see right through me. Damn I hate that about her.
"I'm not trying to impress anyone and what makes you think that I am? "
"Hmm let me see, you have extra make up on, your clothes are screaming 'NOTICE ME!' and your hair, please!, you are so trying to get someone's attention " she said to me.
"Woah, alright genius, if you must know, I love looking extra good and beautiful OK, doesn't mean I'm dressing to impress" I said denying the truth.
"Uh huh, I see, so who is he, let me guess new guy, Mason Kendall " my eyes popped out as she said this.
"How the hell did you know? "
"lets just say, I'm good at knowing things and I'm smart enough " she said praising herself and I just rolled my eyes at her.
"Yea yea whatever, smarty pants " I said and smiled at her.
"oh yea, have you seen Lauren, how's she taking your interest in the new guy?" she asked and I frowned.
"No I have not seen her, and I don't care how's she taking it". I just said bluntly
"Ok. Look Diana, you just met this guy but you've been friends with Lauren all your life, don't let him come between your friendship with her. OK? " Brook said.
"Ok. A guy can't come between our friendship. I promise. " I said and brook was right. I think I'm gonna be the bigger person and say sorry to Laur.
"Hey guys " jade said with her British accent as she joined us.
" Hey smalls" Brook said to her. That's her nickname for jade.
"Stop calling me that Brooklyn " jade warned her which made us bust out laughing.
"Whats funny guys? " jade asked. And we sobered up immediately.
"Nothing" I said.
"Whatever, so Diana you look absolutely breathtaking today, what's the occasion? " Jade said to me and I looked at Brook and she just shrugged her shoulders at me. And I shut my locker with force.
"I'm going to class, bye" I said to them and walked off. Didn't have time to explain again.

During lunch break I saw Lauren and I walked up to her.
"Hey buddy, whatsup? " I tried to make small talk.
"So you've decided to talk to me now, thought you were ignoring me" she said.
"Hey you're the one ignoring me, not the other way round. I Miss you OK?, and I'm sorry about how I went about with Mason, I should have informed you about my feelings for him " I said honestly.
"Ok, whatever " she said and rolled her eyes playfully at me.
"So, forgive me? " I said and smiled
"Yeah of course, you dork" she said and smiled at me, next thing I knew she hugged me very tightly.
"Oh, oookk, can't. breath. here." I tried mumbling
"Oh sorry" she released me and continued smiling.
"Can you come back to our lunch spot please!"
"Thought you'd never ask" she said walked past me to our favorite spot in the cafeteria. I trailed behind her.
"Hey guys Miss me?" she said immediately she sat down
"Oh Lauren,I was wondering where you were " Jade said to her.
Brook looked at me and nodded in acknowledgement and I winked at her.

"Hi"
I looked up from my phone when I heard that familiar handsome voice.
"Oh Hi, Mason, hey" I didn't really know what to say due to how excited I was.
"Are you busy? " he asked looking somehow nervous.
"Me?, nooo no no no, I'm not busy, I'm totally available " I said really happy he was talking to me.
"I mean after school, will you be chanced, there's something I wanna show you " he said
"Well for you, of course I'll be chanced. Whatever it is. So what do you wanna show me again? " I asked with enthusiasm.
"Its a surprise " he said charmingly.
Oh I think I'm in love.
"Really a surprise for me?, from you?!, that's so sweet! " I said probably blushing right now.
"Right. Can I ask you a question? " he looked serious now.
"Yes yes yes you can, anything" I said.
Omg he's going to ask me out. Calm down Diana.
"Do you have a twin? "
"What?" I didn't understand what he meant.
"are you a twin? " he asked again.
OK not what I was expecting at all. Where the hell did this question come from?
"No I do not have a twin, why would you even ask me that?" I was confused now.
"You'll find out later, thanks for your time. So we're still up after school right? " he said calmly.
"Ok, yeah we are" I said to him and he smiled at me and walked off.
God why is he so handsome?
