Genevieve's POV
I woke up the next morning and got ready for work. Bella met me at my car with her bag and such things. I drove away from the house and to the school. We get there and the kids from last time stared at me again. They watched as Bella got out of the car as well.
Bella came to my car window and leaned against it. She surveyed the area to see if she could see Edward. I got tired of the kids staring at me and decided to ask Bella about it.
"Hey, who are they?"I asked looking at the kids
"They're Dr.Cullen's foster kids as well. Why?"Bella asks
"They keep staring at me, "I told her
"They are. Maybe talk to Carlisle about it?"Bella asks
"No. It's fine. I'm just curious. Go ahead and get to class. I have to head to work" I told her
"Alright, bye, "Bella says
"Bye," I say
I leave school and arrived at the hospital. Mara was at the desk today. I walked in and Mara looked up and saw me.
"Gennie! You're here! Early too!"Mara says
"Hello, Mara!"I greet her back
"Just head to Dr.Cullen's office. You remember where it is?"Mara asks
"I do, "I tell her
I walked over to Carlisle's office and knocked on the door. I leaned back on my feet waiting for him to answer me. After hearing him say come in, I walked in and smiled at him.
"Hello, Carlisle!"I greet him
"Hello, Viv. Glad you arrived. We have a busy day" Carlisle tells me
"It seems so, "I tell him with a smile
"Here is your pass. It will help you get to places normal nurses and doctors can't go"Carlisle says handing me a card
"Thank you. So, where do I start?"I asked
"We can start with just answering phone calls and just tagging along with me on doctors visits," Carlisle tells me
"Ok," I said simply
"I have to go. I have surgery to do on a young man. Answer calls if any alright"Carlisle says walking out of the room
I sat down in his office chair and started working. Carlisle rarely got any calls meaning I had the time to examine his office. It was small but comfortable. Wooden walls and carpet floors. Pictures of I guess his family on the wall. The door of the office opened to reveal Carlisle. I smiled at him and stood up.
"Hello, how was the surgery?"I asked him
"It was good. Any calls?"Carlisle asks
"Not much. You have a patient coming in at 10:30. Then another at 11."I told him
"Thank you. Follow me" Carlisle says
Carlisle left the room and I followed behind him. We get to an area with rooms with patients inside. We walked into one where a little boy was sitting on the bed holding his wrist. The mother looked up at Carlisle with a flirty smile not acknowledging me.
"Hello, I'm Dr.Cullen. What seems to be the problem?"Carlisle asks
"He fell at his friends and thinks he broke his wrist, "The mother tells him
"I see. Let me see, Henry" Carlisle says to the boy
Henry looked at me with a smile. Carlisle must have noticed before looking at me. I gave him a smile which he returned.
"Dr. Cullen you have a patient out here waiting for you," Mara tells him
"Can you take care of him?"Carlisle asks me
"O-of course," I said stuttering slightly
Carlisle pats my shoulder before leaving. Mara smirks at me before leaving behind Carlisle. I turned to Henry who was smiling at me happily. I smiled back at him.
"Alright, let me see your wrist," I told him
Henry held his arm out to me so I can look. I touched his wrist making him pull it back.
"Hey, it ok. I won't hurt you" I told him
"Promise?"Henry asks
"Promise," I say smiling at him
He held his arm out to me again so I can look at his hand. I wrapped a bandage around his wrist making him smile. The mother went out of the room to call her husband, I guess. I wished he wasn't hurt. Then out of nowhere a yellow wisp came through my fingers into his arm. My eyes widened seeing it and then Henry started moving his wrist as nothing had happened.
"Ok, don't say anything to anyone about what you witnessed ok?"I asked him
"Our secret, "Henry says with a smile
I smiled and placed him on the ground so he could go to his mother. I walked out of the room as Carlisle was talking to the mother and Henry. Henry looked at me and smiled. I smiled back and looked at Carlisle. He then looked at me with a smile before turning back. I walked to his office and sat down at the chair to answer more calls. The door opened to Carlisle walking in.
"Hello" I greet
"Hello. Nice work with Henry. Did you have nurse training?"Carlisle asks
"I did and was a doctor at the hospital in Arizona, "I told him
"Interesting" Carlisle says simply
"I should get back home. I am off the clock" I told him with a smile
"Alright. Drive safely" Carlisle tells me
"Of course," I tell him as I left

I arrived home and cooked dinner for Charlie and Bella. After I had served them, I went to her room and sat at my desk. The door opens making me look and see Bella with a smile coming to me.
"Hey, what's up?"I asked
"So, I have a field trip this week and they are looking for chaperones. Can you be one?"Bella asks
"When is it?"I asked
"Next week, "Bella tells me
"I don't know, Bells. I mean I have work" I told her
"I bet Dr.Cullen would give you a day off. Viv, please. Edward might be there and I don't want to be there on my own"Bella says
"I'll see what I can do, "I told her
"Yay!"Bella says
"Hey, Bella? Can I ask you something?"I asked
"Sure," Bella says
"I went to work today and Carlisle had my work on a patient while he had to work on another one. I wished the boy didn't feel pain and this yellow wisp came through my fingers into his arm. He then moved his arm around like nothing happened"I told her
"Wow. Did anyone see you?"Bella asks
"Only the child. He said it was our little secret" I said smiling
"Awe that's so cute" Bella gushes
"Anyways, do you think I'm crazy?"I asked
"No. Absolutely not. I don't think you're crazy. Maybe there is something that could tell us what happened"Bella tells me
"Thank you, "I tell her
"Your welcome"Bella says
Bella walked over to me and hugged me. I hugged back and smiled. Happy that she believed me and wants to help me.
