Eyo, it's my birthday!
So, before I start this, I just want to say thank you to everyone who is reading Boundaries right now. It really means a lot to me that a lot of people actually love the random ideas that we both created during the past few months. I hope that everyone laughs, cries, smiles, and keeps reading as the book goes on.
I'd also like to thank everyone who greeted me earlier. I may have not replied back, but I'm really thankful to everyone who wished me a hapoy birthday!
I decided not to post 17, since last chapter was definitely a warning that I really need to take a break. Like god, who in their right mind would write 8,000 words straight for two days of the miserable and unfair life of a young boy who died so young?
I'm lowkey questioning my sanity as I continue to write this book.
Anyways, enough with this sappy stuff.
So I present to you my birthday special: a one-shot girlfriend/boyfriend scenario chapter with most of the main, favored cast of jshk!
I was only able to fit 10 with the time that I have now, so I'm sorry if the character you liked wasn't here.
This may seem lame, but it's all I can really do when I'm rushing everything.
This is also to say sorry to everyone who read 16, hehe.

Today was your birthday.
1 | Hanako
"You sure are acting differently, (y/n), is something the matter?"
"No, there really isn't a problem at all, Hanako-kun!"
You turned away from the ghost to mop up another spot in the bathroom. You couldn't believe it, he actually forgot it was your birthday.
You felt tears forming at the brim of your eyes as you continued to mop the spot on the floor. You hadn't realized that your mopping pace was slowly speeding up and that you were now vigorously mopping that one spot that had no impurity on it whatsoever.
You heard Hanako sigh.
Suddenly, you felt someone wrap their arms around your neck and snuggle close.
"Happy birthday, (y/n)."
You immediately let go of the bad feelings you had just a minute ago, and grinned as you've never grinned before.
"Idiot, I thought you forgot."
2 | Yashiro
"Happy birthday, (y/n)-chan/kun!"
You turned over to your girlfriend, who had a very cute smile on her face. She held a rather large box in her hand, which made you really happy.
"Thank you, Nene."
But no gift is better than your girlfriend.
Leaning in for a surprise kiss, you gave her a small peck on the lips.
The white daikon immediately turned red, which was a really amusing look for you.
3 | Kou
"H-Happy birthday, (y/n)," Kou stuttered, handing over a small box, "I h-hope you like y—your gift..."
You caught a hint of your favorite flavor hit your nose, and immediately, your mouth begins to water. Taking the gift, you undid the ribbon and opened in. Gasping, you almost teared up.
It was Kou's best-tasting (favorite cookie flavor), your favorite out of every brand of it out there. It always had the perfect crunch, chewiness, and sweetness. You always begged him to gift you at least 50 of them on one of these days, and he really overdid it.
It was a hundred cookies.
You couldn't have been happier.
Because of how happy you were, you gave Kou a small peck in the lips. The boy immediately became flustered and covered his face with the back of his hand, a bit embarrassed.
You smiled, "I really love it, thank you so much, Kou!"
4 | Tsukasa
"(y/n)!"
You felt arms and legs wrap around your head as you entered the broadcasting room. A blush crept to your face as soon as you knew who it was. You really hated how you had to like the most touchy apparition there was in the whole near shore, Tsukasa.
He may have been terrifying, but he was an actual goofball. He was pretty childish and annoying sometimes, but since you had cousins who had the same mental age, you knew how to vibe with him.
Though, somewhere along the line, you started liking him.
So, it was your birthday, and during the whole time you were in the broadcasting room with your senpais, Nanamine Sakura and Hyuuga Natsuhiko, Tsukasa didn't bother to even greet you or acknowledge the fact that it was your birthday. You didn't mind though, since to you, every birthday was like any other day.
Though, you were quite happy how the whole time, he never tried to let go of you, not even once.
That itself probably was one of the best birthday gifts you've received.
5 | Tsuchigomori
You were Tsuchigomori's assistant at the 4 PM Bookstacks, as well as the English teacher in the High School Department of Kamome Academy. Today was your birthday, but you didn't really care. You weren't one to make a huge deal about birthdays since it was just the anniversary of the day you were born.
Though, this year there was definitely something you really wanted.
Yesterday, you passed by a jewelry store on the way home and a certain accessory caught your eye. It was a beautiful amethyst jewel earring that was on display. You fawned over it the whole time you examined it, but after seeing the price tag below it, you immediately sulked.
But it was a really pretty jewel too.
Right now, you were currently arranging books in the library when Tsuchigomori entered the room.
"Good work today," You told him as he sat on the chair in the middle of the library. He sighed with exhaustion, before standing up once more.
"Meeting after meeting, this is why I hate living two different lives at the same time," He grumbled, making you chuckle a bit.
"It must be hard being both a teacher at this school and at the same time being a school mystery, huh?" Tsuchigomori sighed at your question.
"Of course," He replied, before getting up from his seat once more and digging his hands into his pockets, "I'll be going on ahead."
You looked back to see your co-worker and crush beginning to walk away.
"Alright, good luck." You told him.
"Oh right," Tsuchigomori stopped in his tracks and turned back towards you, "Before I forget, I got something for you."
"Huh?" You tilted your head, a bit confused.
"It's your birthday, isn't it?" He then turned back and walked away, "It's in that little bag on my desk."
Curiosity got the better of you and you walked over to Tsuchigomori's desk, eying the small, white little bag laying on top of one of the books. Picking it up, you opened it and gasped. It was the amethyst earrings that you were fawning over last night, and along with it was a note. Picking up the note, you read its content.
'You look good in amethyst, so better wear this ofter otherwise my wallet's gonna cry.

Tsuchigomori'
6 | Yako
"Where exactly are we heading to, Yako?" You asked as you got dragged by your kitsune girlfriend around her boundary. She looked back with a smile on her face. She seemed really excited, it was cute.
"Just a little bit longer, (y/n), and we'll get there." She assured you. You couldn't help but smile.
"You seem more excited than me, aren't I the one who has the birthday today?" You pointed it out, teasing her a bit. She blushed, putting on a pouting face.
"Shut it! I'm just being enthusiastic!" You giggled at her cuteness. Finally, both of you arrived in a boundary portal.
"Here we are," She announced, before pushing you inside along with her. Opening your eyes, you gasped at the beautiful nature reserve that you two were in. There was a waterfall that came down onto a beautiful clearing, surrounded with an array of colorful flowers. A picnic blanket was nicely placed just a few meters next to the waterfall.
"Whoa, this place is beautiful!" "Has there always been a place like this around Kamome?"
"There are all types of boundaries in a single location. But this one is my favorite," She told you, before pulling you to the picnic blanket, "C'mon already, let's have a picnic!"
You smiled, "Alright, alright!"
7 | Teru
"Hello, my lady," Teru smirked as he saw you walk up to him in front of the restaurant both of you agreed to meet in, eying the casual, red dress you were wearing, "You look stunning in that beautiful red dress."
You smiled, also eying him in his black blazer, black pants, and white t-shirt fashion, "Thank you, you don't look too bad yourself."
He opened the door to the restaurant, and the two of you entered. Both of you got your orders which were all paid by him, and you both sat down at one of the most scenic seats in the restaurant.
"So, how are you liking this dinner so far?" Teru asked as he began to dig into his food. You smiled.
"It's going really well, and you chose a rather good restaurant to go too," You told him, "A romantic dinner date in McDonald's is really is creative of you."
"I know right?" He grinned, "I was planning to cook for you myself, but as you know, I'm terrible at cooking."
"And, we both know that McDonald's is literally gourmet-level to both of us." You joked, grinning. Though, it wasn't actually a joke.
"Exactly," He pointed out, "It's the classiest we both can get."
Both of you began to laugh. After dinner, he decided to walk you home. Arriving in front of your apartment complex, he scratched the back of his neck.
"Happy birthday, (y/n). It wasn't really much, but I hope you enjoyed."
You smiled at him one more time.
"Thank you, this is literally the best birthday dinner I've ever had."
8 | Sakura
Usually, after classes finished, you stayed in the classroom to study just a few more hours before you went home. While doing so, you usually listened to the broadcast of each day. Sakura, the broadcaster, was your girlfriend, and you always loved how soothing her voice was every time she was in telecom.
Today was your birthday, and besides a few greetings, nothing really special occurred that day. Like any other day, you stayed behind and studied for a few more hours until after Sakura finishes broadcasting. However, today was different.
"Today is also a special day to someone who is really dear to me," Sakura's voice said from the speaker, and your ears perked up upon hearing that.
"(l/n)(y/n) of Class 3-B, happy birthday! I hope you have a wonderful day for the remainder of this day."
You couldn't help but blush at the sweetness of her greeting. Of course, she just had to announce to the whole school that it was her birthday. for some reason, it made you feel really happy.
9 | Akane
"Akane, why don't we go over to that ride?" You pointed over to the tallest rollercoaster ride in the whole amusement park. Akane paled a bit but faked a smile.
"You can pick whatever one you like, I won't mind." He told you. You knew very well that he was lying, but right now, you didn't mind.
After one round of the rollercoaster, both of you got off feeling differently. You were way more pumped up and energetic now, while he felt nauseous and sick to his stomach. He was as white as a cloud and lightheaded. You began to feel worried.
"Akane-kun, you look pale," You looked at him concerned as he collapsed on a bench, "Are you sure you're okay?"
"Y—Yeah, just give me a minute to regain my soul," He muttered. You giggled.
"In the meantime, I'll go buy some churros in that stall, okay?" You pointed over to the churros store right next to the bench. He nodded but frowned.
"I'm so sorry that I ruined your birthday, (y/n)," He told you, catching you off guard. You rose a brow at him.
"What are you saying, Akane?" You put your hands on your hips and shifting your weight onto on leg, tilting your head, "C'mon, you're overreacting. You haven't ruined it at all."
He looked at you a bit surprised, before smiling.
"Alright then," He grinned, "As long as you're happy the whole day, I'll be glad."
10 | Aoi
"(y/n)-chan/kun, could you please go to the school rooftop with me?"
You turned to Aoi with a confused smile on your face. It was your birthday, and you knew very well that your girlfriend knew that you loved surprises, so you were pretty excited on what she had for you.
"Sure, but what for?" You asked. All she did was give you a knowing smile of excitement.
"You'll see."
You smiled at her and walked with her to the rooftop. Surprisingly, the walk was pretty fast and quiet because of her dragging you quickly. But when you got over there, she immediately led you to the rails that overlooked the practice garden. When you finally saw her surprise for you, you gasped and teared up.
In the practice garden, laid a thousand multicolored flowers arranged to become your face. She made a flower arrangement of your face, and arranged the words 'happy birthday' below it.
You looked at her, really surprised and impressed. All she did was smile.
"Whoa, this is incredible! How were you able to arrange them in such a short span of time?" You couldn't help but ask. She giggled.
"It's because you're girlfriend is amazing," She replied, laughing, "Happy birthday, (y/n)!"

So I hope everyone enjoyed this! Cause I really enjoyed writing each situation. Yashiro's was pretty short, but I couldn't think more about hers so sorry about that ://.
Seventeen will probably come out when it's ready and when I'm ready to write the big deal. You thought 16 was sad? Well, 17 says hi.
Tbh I actually don't know if 17 will be as sad as I say it is, but it's gonna be sad so buckle up.
I'll be going to bed immediately after posting this, cuz it's literally 12 am and I have to cook for my birthday tomorrow.
