"Jo Hye, aren't you curious between Me and Taehyung? Why he abhor me that much?"
Yes.
I wanted to answer, but it didn't seem right.
I wanted to hear from his own mouth what happened between the two of them.
We are inside his car, infront of the convenience store, eating ice cream silently when he suddenly spoke.
I melt the chocolate cream on my tongue and look at him,
It's already dark, i texted my mother that i'll be going home late.
"Do you know Kim Taehyung was my bestfriend?" i shook my head,
He sigh and smiled.
-but it didn't reach his eyes,
He look sad.
"He was my childhood friend, we were inseparable when we were kids."
He look infront, his eyes spark in happiness like he's watching himself and taehyung when they are still a kid.
"Did you know he was bullied- we were bullied in our Elementary Days?"
"...Fragile, that's who we are back then. The fat kid in our room always bully us two, because we were so thin."
He chortled. "Until one day, in Highschool. I just found myself bullying someone and he's the leader."
I look at him, he smiled at me and sigh.
"Yes, this Mr. President is bully back then. that's when the BTS formed."
He pause and eat his ice cream as i eat mine.
So Jennie was right.
They were Bestfriend.
"Being with them is happiness. They're like my second family, And he's like my twin brother."
"But then, this beautiful girl came back."
Silence.
I swallowed hard.
"Hasley Ong..." I saw how he smiled bitterly.
The sadness and pain he had earlier came back on his eyes.
Looking at his reaction makes me want to know more about what happened.
If he really cheated with her.
"Our childhood princess. I forgot to mention that the tree of us were childhood friends. Though she didn't last long in South Korea, it's in the half of month in our Grade-two year when she and her dad migrate in States. She came back when we were first year highschool."
I watch as the car passed by, the busy street and people walking by in the pedestrian lane.
"..... Taehyung and Hasley like each other, they become couple. Taehyung treated her like a princess, She was his first love. One thing that Hasley didn't agreed on Taehyung is that he bully people. They were perfect couple in BTS Academy."
But you like her.
"But one day, In our fourth year Highschool. I recieve a call from Ley-from Hasley, crying. She was in the club and asking me to talk with her. Of course i got worried so i went where she was. She was wreck and devasted. She's drunk."
Jeongkook sigh and look at me.
"Do you want me to continue?" He asked,
"If its okay with you." i mumbled.
"You might hate me too if you heared this." he laugh. I shook my head.
"Okay, hmm.. She was drunk, saying she really don't love Taehyung and she was torn between pretending and telling the truth. I was shock of course. I thought she love him too. That night, she cried and told me she broke up with him, but he didn't want to, Taehyung didn't talk to her in days, didn't answer her calls.
Also that night, in the club. She confessed her feelings about me. Saying she love me and not Taehyung."
I felt my heart will drop because of what i've heared.
"Saying she don't want to embarass Taehyung infront of many students when he asked her to be his girlfriend. Saying she did that because she want to move on from me. I was shock and didn't know what to do that time, that night."
Jeonkook let out a deep breathe and look at me sadly.
"Jo Hye, do you k-know I love her eversince? I have a crush on her since we were grade-two. I thought i've moved on when she's gone but when she came back, my feelings came back too."
Jennie was wrong.
Hasley and Taehyung,
Jeonkook and Hasley.
"But, My bestfriend, Kim Taehyung love her too. And i love my twin brother. I want him to be happy. I just watch them from afar. Saying to myself my feeling will be gone sooner.
But that night, in the club, Hasley kissed me. But little did i know that simple kiss can broke everything that i treasured. Kim Taehyung thought we cheated behind his back, he was so mad, he hate me, he kick me out of the group. I tried to explain but he didn't listen. He hate Hasley too."
"Halsey blame herself, Even though i love her so much, i don't want to hurt Taehyung, I let her go, I choose Taehyung until know."
My mouth hung open, wide eyes staring at him.
He look at me and chuckled, grabbing tissue and wipe my cheeks.
"Aigoo, why are you crying?"
I sniffe, i already done eating ice cream and my hands were dirty.
"W-why did you let him hate you? Why didn't you explain to Namjoon, or Hoseok? Why did you let them hate you and think you cheated?!"
I cried, i heared him laugh and wipe my hands.
Even all students, even Jennie thinks that he cheated.
"Aish, such a crybaby."
Now he's lonely.
I cried more.
"W-why?!"
"Because I want Taehyung only to know. Do you think it is good if others know that Hasley didn't love him at all? Na uh, i don't want them to pity Taehyung, I don't want to embarass him. Now stop crying." he chuckled again and give me his handkership.
"B-but-"
"Now i regrett telling you this." he shook his head and watch me wipe my tears.
I pity him.
All he wants is Taehyung to be happy but that Jerk all wanted is to make him suffer.
"T-then i'll tell to that jerk -"
"No Jo Hye, Let me. Don't be involve in this mess. I promised, I'll do my best to help you, okay? Now calm down, i'll drive you home."
I sniffle again.
Now that i know the truth, There's now way i'll let that jerk hurt him.
I'll tell this to Yoongi,
Jeonkook deserve to be happy.
"He's really a jerk." i mumbled.
And he laugh.
