Jennie POV
Yesterday night was kind of the most hurtful thing that i ever feel in my life.i still remembered the way lisa look at me , the way her eyes was full of hatred when she was staring at me.the eyes that i use to love to see , the eyes that often filled with love and tenderness everytime it met mine , was now totally otherwise.
And that changed of hers was because of me
I heave a sigh , sitting on my chair while leaning my back against it.my eyes darted to the clock and it's 8 in the morning
I was planning to meet lisa again today.it's fine if she kick me out from the house , as long as i got to see her face then it's already enough
"Is she already awake?" i mumble to myself.i don't want to bother her sleep but i think at this time she would be awake already.i get up from my chair and take my car key on the small table beside my bed , i immediately went downstairs and found my mom cleaning the house.the sound of key that i made when i walk down from the stairs caused her to lift her head up and look at me , i smile at her
"Where are you going?" She asked
"Meet lisa" i said with a smile , her face softened and she look at me with a small smile
"Don't cry when you got back later , that's all i ask" she said causing me to chuckle.i reassured her with a big smile and nod my head , tiptoed as i give her a kiss on her cheek
"I'll go now , bye mom" i said and leave the house.

I already stood here for a minutes while keep pacing from side to side.my palm was sweaty that i need to keep rubbed it on my thigh.i took a deep breath and compose myself.i slowly lift my hand up , and with a trembling hand i press the doorbell.the door immediately opened after a few seconds and i need to tamped down my irritation when i saw tzuyu in front of me.i faked a smile looking at her blank face
"Hey tzuyu" i said , trying hard to not show how irritated i was.she crossed her arms over her chest and raised her eyebrow
"What do you want?"i held back an eye roll and give her a tight smile
"Can i see lisa?" I said , fiddling with my fingers.but i felt something is off when i saw her face softened as she look at me , as if she would tell me something that i'm sure i won't like it.i run my tounge over my lips , getting nervous to ask
"I-is there something wrong?" I said , hoping that i would get a positive answer from her.she let out a deep sigh and look at me
"She's not here.." my forehead wrinkled as my eyebrow knitted together.i look at her confusely "what do you mean?did she already went home?" I asked and she replied with a nod.i heave a sigh of relief and nodded as i was ready to turn around , but tzuyu said something that made my whole body stiffened
"In thailand"
Fear surged through my body , i look back at her with my eyes widened.my throat tightened as my heart start to beating so fast
"What?" My voice was like a whisper.my eyes was begging her to tell me that she was pranking me but she unfolded her arms and sigh
"Lisa already in thailand , she went there last night.." she said , my eyes started to welled up with tears but i held it back.i lowered my head, land my gaze on the ground as i don't want her to look at my face.a lot of emotion was running in my head , especially when i thought i was the reason of her going back to thailand.i clenched my fist tightly , biting my lips to supressed my tears , but i was suprised when i feel someone wrapped her arms around me and pull my body closer to her
Tzuyu was hugging me
"She went there because of her dad..i'm not sure if she was planning on staying there for a long time but all she told me is she going to stay there until her dad recovered" she reassured me as if she knew what was running in my head.the hug was short as she immediately break it afterwards.i wasn't sure how to feel about it.A part of me was quite relieve that she went there not because of me but the other part of me was filled with uneasy feelings.
what if lisa choose to stay there forever?
I look up at tzuyu and she was still looking at me.it was too much for my head to process everything that i can't even know what should i do , i just nodded at her and give her a small smile
"T-thankyou.." i muttered and turn around , but get stop again when i heard tzuyu spoke
"Are you going to see her?" I swallow the lump in my throat.i take a deep breath and closed my eyes , trying to remained calm as i almost pass out from my heavy breathing
"I‐i don't know , do you think she would stay there forever?" I asked , feeling hurt at my own words.she lifted her shoulder in a half shrug "i don't know , but if she wants to tried to forget about you then maybe she would build her new life there..after all that's where she grew up" she said , the feeling of fear grew more inside me but i push it away
"I'll find her.." i muttered.i'm still not persistent with my decision but i know it's the right thing to do. i saw her lips curved upwards into a smile and she nodded at me
"Then go , but jennie.." she paused causing me to look up at her
"What?"
She take a step forward to me and because of our height , i need to lift my head on her face level "i promise you that i will make lisa mine if you two won't end up together after you come back here" she said making my lips to formed a smile as well
"Then i promise you that you won't get her" half of it i was joking but also meant it at the same time.she roll her eyes at me and crossed her arms
"We'll see" she grin
"I'm against this jennie.." i sigh heavily.i keep convince my mom to let me go to thailand , but she didn't let me as she was scared to let me go alone by myself.she want to go with me but her works won't let her to
"Mom i promise i'll stay there only for a few days.i'll come back here after that , with lisa" i hold her hands but she seemed like still doubting to let me go or not "you're not familiar with that place jennie , what if you get lost?what if you would go through a hard time to communicate with people there?" I chewed my lower lips , she's right
"i'll be fine , i'll let you know if there's anything happened or if i need your help" i convinced her.
"Why don't you just wait for her to come back instead of going there?"
I let out a weak smile "because i'm scared she won't come back because of me..so please mom , please let me.." i breathed out.hearing that , she sigh and slowly pull me in her arms , hugging me tightly
"If that's what you said..then i won't held you back honey" she sigh in defeat , my lips formed a wide smile and i look at her with a sparkle eyes
"Really?"
She nodded and caress my face "yes,but as a return you need to bring lisa back here to me" she said causing me to pout
"You are concerned about lisa more than me" i sulked earning a soft laugh from her

After be in an airplane for several hours , jennie finally step her feet in thailand.she need to find lisa and settled down everything between them as fast as she could , she can't just abandoned her studies in korea and stay here in a long time.it would effect her life in the future if she missed a lot of classes and failed in her exams
When she reach the exit gate of the airport , she look around to find a taxi but something just came in her head that caused her to curse herself under her breath
"Damn it!how can i find lisa if i don't know where she live?" She groaned and rub her face in frustration.she was too rushed to went here until she forgot the important things that she should find before coming here.she immediately open her phone and find chaeyoung's name in her contact list , but when she was about to call her suddenly she heard her name being called causing her to turn her head to the voice.there's a guy walking to her direction
"What can i help you?" Jennie ask politely as he was older than her , but weirdly the guy bowed his head to her
"Ms jennie , i'm one of you father's workers.i'm here to ensure your safety and keep being around you.mr kim already made a reservation in hotel for you to stay , and i'll drive you to the place" he said.jennie's eyes widened in suprised , she didn't expect that her dad would do this for her because she thought he didn't care about her anymore.she smile , and a chuckle escaped from her mouth
"Thankyou dad.." she whisper to herself
"Should we go now?" Jennie look at him and nod
"Yeah sure.." she said and follow him to the car.she was relieved that she doesn't need to wandered around to find lisa or place to stay at.she really need to thank her dad for this
"Uh , sir" jennie called him causing him look at her through the front mirror
"Yes miss?"
"Do you possibly know about where the person that i was trying to find live at?" She asked , he probably won't know but she just want to ask
"Oh is it miss lisa?i already find all of her information , i'll send you the location of her place and the hospital that her dad got admitted" jennie was screaming in joy inside , her dad never disappoint her.she smile widely
"Thankyou so much sir.."
"You can just call me nickhun" he said , jennie smile and replied with a nodded
"Okay , thankyou nickhun"

Lisa was restless , she keep pacing around while waiting for the doctor that was checking her father condition to come out.she glance at her mom , she look weak and tired.she went to her and rub her shoulder in circular motion , trying to relaxed her a little bit.
"Mom , don't worry..okay?" Lisa said trying to convince her that everything will be fine.she give her a weak smile and nodded , but not long after the doctor come out
"Are you the guardians of mr manoban?" He asked , holding a clip board on his hand
"Yes , i'm her wife" she said
"Okay mrs manoban.your husband is in a critical condition which means action must be taken as soon as possible.For now we will let him rest for a while before we proceed to the next procedure" lisa's mom almost stumble down on the floor when she heard it , lisa who seeing it immediately hug her and caress her back
"Can we see him?" Lisa asked
"Sure , but don't wake him up because he need to rest" he said which lisa replied with a nod "thankyou doctor ,we will wait for the further information" lisa said in behalf her mom.the doctor nodded and leave as he went to the other patients.lisa look down on her mom who was crying on her chest.she fought back her tears that was threatened to fall because she need to be strong for both of her parents.her mom need her , she can't be weak
"Mom , let's see dad?" She said softly.she hold her hand and they both walk inside the room.her dad was laying helplessly on the bed.lisa remove her gaze from him as she almost burst into tears looking at his state.lisa's mom sit on the chair beside the bed , holding her husband's hand tightly while her thumb caressing the back of his hand
Lisa went to the small couch that have been provided and slumped herself with a deep sigh.she was too tired , she didn't got to rest since last night.even in the airplane , she couldn't sleep because she was too worried about her dad.she almost got a headache from everything that keep happened to her recently.her emotion are still not right because of what has happened in Korea , but now she need to push it all to the side to focus on her parents.
"Lisa?" She lift her head up and saw her mom looking at her worriedly "yes mom?do you need anything?are you hungry?i can buy a food for you" lisa said and stood up but her mother immediately hold her hand
"No need dear.. we'll go home later to eat , change our clothes and clean ourselves before we went back here.For now i just want you to rest , you must be tired after the long flight" she said in concern , she knew her daughter have something that she didn't tell her but she'll just wait until she would tell her by herself.lisa let out a smile and nodded
"Thankyou mom.."

Lisa POV
"Lisa..no need to worry about it" my mom convinced me , she have been saying the same thing since we left the hospital
"Mom , the cost was too much.how do we can find a money to pay it?" I said sighing heavily.my eyes are on the road , clenching tightly on the steering wheel
Before we left , the doctor came to us and told us that my dad need to undergo surgery to survive.the chance are low but there's possibility that my dad could be heal from his illness.if the surgery was a success , he need to go through a few theraphy until he fully recovered.my mom and me had discussed about it and we agreed , but there's one big problem
Money.
The cost is really expensive , it's probably enough by using all of our savings but how do we want to live after that?not to mention about the cost of the theraphy too if the surgery went well
"Let's not think about it for now dear,no need to stress yourself" my mom caress my arm softly and it somehow got to made me feel calm.i release a sigh and nodded , giving her a smile
When we arrived , i parked the car but i frowned when i saw there's another car that just also just arrived in front of our house.
"Is that your friend?" I ask my mom
"I was about to ask you the same question" my mom said , frowning.there's a guy step out from the car and rush to the other side , opening the door for someone inside.when the person got off from the car , my eyes widened that i almost couldn't believe my own eyes
"Jennie?!" I unbuckled my seatbelt and immediately went to her , she finally turn her head to me and her eyes also widened to saw me standing in front of her
I don't know if i missed her so much until i'm hallucinating things , but i'm sure this is real.she's standing while her eyes nervously looking at me.she smile awkwardly and held up her palms as she make a small wave at me
"Hi?" She let out an awkward chuckled while me just staring at her like a fool , i still couldn't find a right reason of her coming here
"Lisa?is this your friend?" I came back to my senses when my mom pat my shoulder , her eyes are on jennie as jennie immediately bow to my mom
"Hello mrs manoban , i'm jennie" she said smiling widely and that made my heart fluttered at the sight.i quickly look away and swallow my lump
"Jennie?is this the jennie that lisa keep talk-"
"Mom!" I widened my eyes and hold her hand tightly , shaking my head telling her to not say anything.she give me a playful grin and nodded.i won't let her embarrased myself in front of jennie.when i was in korea i often told her about how much i was in love with jennie , but she never saw her in person
I glance at jennie , and she was looking at us confusely.i cleared my throat
"Let's go inside.." i said coldly , the flash of hurt shown in her eyes but i ignored it and went inside the house.i sit on the couch and my mom immediately went to the kitchen , maybe she want to prepare some food or drinks for jennie.at the corner of my eyes , i could see jennie standing beside me , fidgeting with her fingers
"What are you doing here" i asked.i can't help but to feel slightly mad knowing that she came here by herself.what if something happened to her?
"I..i want to see you.." she said in whisper , slowly sit beside me "i guess tzuyu told you.why don't you just wait until i came back" i asked , raising my eyebrow
"Because i'm afraid that you won't come back.."
My face softened as i saw the fear in her eyes.i released a sigh and lean my head back against the couch , squeezed my eyes shut.i just hope she won't give me more headache by being here with me
"Is your dad okay?" She asked but i just replied with a nodded.she open her mouth to say something but got interrupted when my mom walk to us with a tray of drinks on her hands.seeing that , jennie immediately stood up and help her by taking the tray to put it on the table.my lips curved into a small smile seeing this kind of side from her
"Please don't trouble yourself mrs manoban..i'm sorry for coming here without telling you" she said with an apologetic look.my mom give her a smile and shook her head
"It's okay dear , beside i really want to see you" my eyes widened on her words
Can't she be more obvious? , I sarcastically said in my mind
Jennie's eyebrow connected together in a frown "you know me?" She asked.my mom nodded her head and glance at me "lisa ever talk about you to me , and what she said is true..you are really pretty"
I choke on my drinks.i almost ran out from the house and bury myself deep in the ground.my blood started to rush to my cheeks that i need to quickly look away from jennie's gaze.she purse her lips into a small smile and let out a laugh
"Thankyou mrs manoban.."
"Do you have place to stay tonight?" My mom asked.i glance at jennie and she seem hesitated to answer
"I don't have place to stay tonight..but it's fine i'll find a plac-" my mom cut her off
"No it's okay you can stay here tonight , right lisa?" I groan and cover my face with my palm.i knew jennie was lying , i'm really sure she have place to stay.she's not that type of person who would do something without preparation
"Sure.." i sigh in defeat
I went inside my room as i want to change my clothes before i went back to he hospital.jennie was talking with my mom downstairs.i sat on the edge of my bed while massaged the back of my neck.i feel ache at every part of my body.i'm tired , and exhausted.i closed my eyes but not until i heard the sound of my door got opened.i diverted my eyes to the door and found jennie , a small smile formed on her lips but i just give her an icy stare
"C-can i come in?" She asked , i flickered my eyes on her feet that was already stepped inside my room
"You already in" i muttered.she walk to me and sit beside me on the bed , but i move away a little to have space between us , ignoring the look of pain in her eyes
"Are you okay?you look tired" she said worriedly
"I'm okay" i said and again rub the back of my neck , but to my suprised , i feel jennie's hand on my shoulder that caused me to flinch and immediately stood up
"I-i'm sorry..i just want to help y-you.." she said referring to my sore shoulder.i click my tounge in annoyance
"No need to , i can take care of myself" i said and immediately went inside the bathroom not even mind to look at her reaction
I'm afraid..i'm afraid when every little action that she does , it made my heart racing.she's still have that effect on me and that scared me.i don't want to put my hope high again , i learn my mistake , and i don't want to go through the same pain ever again
All of them went back again to the hospital , but this time jennie are with them
Jennie know lisa need someone by her side.even she knew she's not the person that lisa need , but atleast she can take a look over her to make sure she's fine.she was tired since she just arrived here in thailand but she keep telling herself that lisa must be more tired than her , mentally and physically , so she decided to be strong for her
"Jennie , aren't you tired?" Lisa's mother asked her , worried if the brunette might get tired
"No i'm fine mrs mano-"
"Call me mom" she immediately cut her off.jennie smile shyly and nod
"Okay mom..don't worry i'm fine.." she said.jennie sit beside her and look around as she can't see lisa everywhere "where's lisa mom?" She asked
"Oh she meet the doctor for a whi- ah there she is" jennie's eyes darted to the door and found lisa entered the room , with a face that seemed like she was worried about something
"What's the doctor said dear?" Her mom asked as they both walk to lisa.the blonde open her mouth in hesitant , she glance at jennie and cleared her throat
"Jennie , can you leave us for a while?" Lisa said.jennie was confuse but didn't ask much because she thought it must be about their privacy matters.she nodded and went outside.she lean her back against the wall while her hands clasped together behind her , but suddenly she heard lisa's voice talking from inside.she frown and turn her eyes to the door and just realized that the door was a little bit opened.she grab the handle of the door and was about to close it , but her ears caught something in their conversation that she can't help but to secretly eavesdropping
"The doctor need our confirmation as soon as possible mom.." lisa said while rubbed her temples.the old lady keep silence for a while and seeing her mother's restless face , lisa let out a small smile and pull her mom in her arms.she purses her lips and heave a sigh
"It's okay mom , i think my savings are enough for it..so let's just tell the doctor that we agreed to do it tomorrow , okay?" Lisa said with a reassuring smile.she was clearly lying , her money savings would completely going to be empty if she spend it on her father's surgical treatment , but she think maybe she could continue her study in thailand and live with her mom , it won't cost much for both of them
"Are you sure?" Lisa's mom asked , feeling guilty "yes , so let's do it okay?let's just hope for the best" lisa smile
Jennie who was listening to their conversation since earlier was left speechless.she knew lisa was lying about her money was enough to pay the bills , of course it was enough but how do she want to live after that?she thought
