Panta Boy: Hey Shuichi! Are you thinking about me?
Shuichi: Huh? Kokichi why are you texting me?
Panta Boy: Aww Does my Shuichi not want to talk to me? :(
I chuckle to myself.
My Shuichi.
Shuichi: What? No! I'm just kind of busy right now. I'm getting ready for tomorrow.
Panta Boy: May I ask where my Shuichi is going?

Shuichi: Oh um, I'm going to a masquerade party with Kaede.
Shuichi probably knew that Kokichi wasn't fond of Kaede, but then again who is he fond of?

I huff to myself.
That Kayayday bitch, huh?
I have no idea what Kaede is to Shuichi...
And I don't know if I want to know.
Panta Boy: Uhm... Exactly who is Kaede?
Pfft of course I know who Kayayday is.

I pause and delete that message before I send it.
I can't call him Shumai.

I smile to myself and start to think of my master plan.
Shuichi's POV
Today is the day of the masquerade party, and to be honest I'm sort of excited for it. I already have my tuxedo layed out ready for me to change into.

I hear a knock on my door.
Looks like Kaede's here.
I walk over to the door and open it. All of the sudden I was attacked by a very happy Kaede. I felt like I was being squeezed to death by Kaede's huge bear hug.
"Uh... Kaede, can you let me go... please?"
"Shuichi I'm so excited to see you!"
Someone walks past us and laughs out "Hey! Get a room!"
(BITCH CALM DA FUC DOWN IT'S STILL OUMASAI GAWDDAMNITTTT!)
I immediately push Kaede off of me.
My face heats up immediately as well.
Kaede and I weren't like that!
"Uhh..."
"Let's just go to the party." Kaede finishes the sentence for me.
"Yeah." I respond.
TIME SKIP BECUZ FRICK ME EHEHHEHEHHH
-Warning not to take that last statement too seriously-
As we are about to get out of the car Kaede hands me a blue mask to match my outfit.
"Oh, thanks Kaede."
"No problem." She states as she pulls out a pink mask for herself to wear.
I wonder if anyone else I know came to this party.
As Kaede finishes putting on her mask a certain spiky haired male catches my eye.
Who is that..?
The person I was creepily staring at turns around and looks at me.
Wait...Is that?
"Kaito!"
"Shuichi!"
My purple haired friend walks over to me.
"Hey! How's my sidekick doing?"
"Good, how are you Kaito?"
"Im-" Kaito was cut off by an angry Maki Roll bumping into him.
"I told you not to-"
"Shuichi?" She questioned me.
" Oh uh yeah... It's me." I said, feeling rather awkward because the author didn't know how to word my lines.
Maki somewhat smiled at me.
"Wait...Shuichi. Why are you here?" Kaito questioned me.
"Oh... I came to Japan to work on The Phantom Thief case."
"I think I've heard about that thing before!" Kaito announces.
"I'm sure you have." Maki scoffs.
" Hey! We should go get some food!" Kaede suggests.
"Sounds alright to me!" Kaito says to her holding a big thumbs up.
I take a look around the building we were staying in while we make our way to where the food is. First of all, the building is HUGE. It's like a mansion! There are sparkly chandeliers hung up on the ceiling, that we pass every so often. Also, all I can see is black surrounding me.
Wait.
What?
The lights just went out...
I wonder what caused this.
"You guys..?" I hear Kaede ask.
"Yes?"
"Uh huh"
"Hm?"
"Yeeessss~" The others and I answer.
Wait.
How many people just answered her?
One...
Two...
Three...
Four?
"Hello?" I ask.
"Hi."
"Yup!"
"Yah?"
"Yeesss~?" I hear the same voice as last time respond.
So there is another person here.
I need to figure out who it is.
I reach my arms out and try to feel for the unknown person.
"Watch it." I hear an annoyed Maki grunt.
"Oh, uh sorry."
I feel around some more.
"Huh?" I hear Kaede question me.
I must have touched Kaede.
Where is that person..?
"Sorry, Kaede." I tell her.
I feel around for one last time before I'm willing to give up.
"Eh?" I hear someone ask me.
I try to grab their shirt, or something like that...
But instead of grabbing their shirt I accidentally grab their hand.
Good enough anyway...
Suddenly I can feel myself being dragged away from the others.
"Wha-" I feel a hand slap over my mouth.
What the hell is going on?
I mean, I did kind of get myself into this mess...
I hear a door slam behind me.
"Well, well, well." I hear someone laugh menacingly behind me.
I spin around to see a short purple haired boy, with a clown mask on standing behind me.
"EH?" I gasp shocked.
My eyes widen with shock as I notice who is standing there.
The person who is standing behind me...
Is none other than...
The world-wide known...
Phantom Thief.
May the mystery of The Phantom Thief live on another day...
