New chapter coming in a few days, but I thought I should update you guys on something I find really exciting.
As you may have seen in my "Things I Can't Stand on Wattpad" book, I mentioned I don't like entire chapters dedicated to author's notes, however this is just too cool to not mention. It's an interesting one, it's the exception.
I was having a look at the demographics of my book to see what kinds of people are reading it. I found out my audience is 79% female, and 21% private. The majority of readers are between the ages of 13 and 25, with 2% above 35.
This is the part which blew my mind: this book has been read in 43 different countries!! I did a few calculations and worked out percentages and exactly how many readers per country (all values are approximate. There were around 6100 readers at the time of writing. A lot of these are underestimates and I'm aware it totals to less than that.):
This absolutely blew my mind. Thank you so much to everyone for reading this. I had no idea I had such a diverse following; I kind of just presumed everyone reading this was British or American for some reason...
This book started out as a joke, would you believe. What it's snowballed into in just a few months is incredible.
