Mirai POV
I helped Yuuichi-san back in the bed. He looked conflicted.
"Yuuichi-san..."
Yuuichi: "... I'm sorry you had to see that."
"No it's okay.... what will you do?"
Yuuichi: "... I won't let Kyousuke give up on his soccer. He has to remember it meant so much to us."
"... I see."
Tsurugi: "Nii-san, I'm back-"
He stopped when he saw me. I turned to him, we both stared at each other for a moment and then I bowed and left the room.
Tsurugi... what you're doing is stupid.
I leaned back on the wall.
Tsurugi POV
What was she doing here?
"Nii-san-"
Yuuichi: "I heard you talking to that man."

Yuuichi: "Kyousuke, did I ask you? Did I ever ask you to fix my legs? Even once?!"
I looked away.
Yuuichi: "The organization that sets the outcomes for soccer matches, Fifth Sector... I can't believe you were involved with guys like that. Is that what you think of the soccer we love? It's fun when you're winning. It hurts to lose. You want to pass people when you're dribbling. You want to make the goal. Each one of those feelings lights a fire deep in your chest. Isn't that what soccer is, Kyousuke?!"
Then I saw a tear drop on Yuuichi's hand.
! "Nii-san..."
Yuuichi: "You've betrayed soccer. You've betrayed the soccer that we loved! Get out!"
I left the room feeling guilty. Then when I closed the door.
"!...What do you want."
Mirai was outside the door she was looking at me.
Mirai: "... This was your reason? For you brother's sake?"
"... So what?"
All of a sudden Mirai pushed me against the wall with her hands on my shoulders.
"What are you...?!"

"Why are you... crying?"
Mirai didn't look up at me. She kept her head down but I saw the tears flowing down.
Mirai: "Why? Why?! Because I understand how Yuuichi-san feels!"
She looked at me with an angry face but tears continued to flow down her cheeks.
Mirai: "Doing something for the sake of your sibling... I can understand that but! That's not something you should be doing, what a little sibling is suppose to do!"
"Little sibling?"
Mirai: "Siblings don't owe each other anything and it's an older sibling's job to protect their younger ones no matter what happens! So stop feeling responsible!"
"Tch! How can I not feel responsible?! It's because of me that Nii-san lost something important! Why am I always being protected?! That's so unfair!"
Mirai: "Who cares if it's unfair?!"
I look at Mirai in surprise.
Mirai: "I said before and I'll say it again! That's the job of an older sibling! And it's something... *sniff* something... I failed to do..."
! "..."
I remembered her sister. How sad she looked while she was with her. Then Mirai fell down to her knees and I tried to hold her up. She was still crying.
A job of an older sibling huh...
"Then..."
Mirai: "Huh?"
"Then it's the job of a younger sibling to make their older siblings smile."
Mirai: "!... Tsurugi..."
I helped Mirai up and then...
Mirai: "Wha!"
We started running with me pulling her along.
Mirai: "T-Tsurugi?! What are we- Where are we?!"
"We're going...!"
Mirai: "Eh?"
"The least I can do... is win...!"
Mirai: "Tsurugi..."
Tenma POV
"Kurama-senpai, let's try it again."
Kurama: "Tenma..."
"If we don't try, we won't get anywhere. Please."
Kurama: "How are we supposed to get it to work when it hasn't with everything we've tried?!"
Endou: "Don't give up. There are things only those who don't give up can obtain."
Everyone looked down.
Tsurugi: "Put me on!"
We all turned to see Tsurugi who just ran here.
"Tsurugi!"
Tsurugi: "Let me play in the match."
Shindou: "... You aren't running off this time?"
Tsurugi: "Not as a Seed... As a soccer player, I'm asking you to let me on! Please!"
Everyone: !
"Tsurugi..."
Kurama: "How can we trust you?"
Everyone went quiet.
Mirai: *pant pant* "P-Please trust him everyone..."
"Mirai!"
Mirai came in a little far away from us and walked over. Then she fell on knees.
Aoi: "Mirai-chan!"
Aoi ran to her.
Aoi: "Are you okay?"
Mirai: "Y-Yeah... *pant* Tsurugi, y-you run way too fast."
Aoi: "Eh? Mirai-chan why are your eyes red...?"
Mirai: "Ah! T-That's because...! Um..."
"... I believe in Tsurugi."
Shinsuke: "Tenma...!"
Kurama: "Tsurugi's the one who's been giving us a hard time all this time. I thought I could trust you a bit in the previous match, but you didn't even come to practice after that. And now you're late to this match. And yet you still trust him?!"
"I do. Remember Tsurugi's plays. You can't make amazing plays like that if you didn't like soccer. That's why I believe in him."
Mirai: "Tenma-san..."
Shindou: "I believe in him too."
"Captain!"
Shinsuke: "Yeah!"
Everyone nodded their heads.
Kurama: "Tch. Fine then. We're missing a player anyway."
"Senpai!"
Endou: "Tsurugi, you're on."
Tsurugi: "Yes, sir."
"Let's do our best, Tsurugi!"
Tsurugi nodded to me with a smile.
Shirabe POV
Kirara: "Oh?"
"It's Tsurugi."
Kirara: "Hm~ something feels different about him though."
"Mirai's there too. I wonder what happened?"
Kakuma: The score was 2-0 at the end of the first half, with Teikoku in the lead! And here, Tsurugi makes his appearance! Kono has also appeared and is on the bench as a reserve player! Raimon finally has eleven on the field!
Mirai POV
Tsurugi... you can do it!

Kurama: "He kicked it..."
Shindou: "His kick can do it...!"
But when it touched the ground it lost it's power.
Everyone: !
"Why..."
Why didn't it work?
