Knuxonic: how I feel about you...

The invetation

Knuckles was bringing the master emerald to a secret location inside the island. Not joking REALLY INSIDE ISLAND! Only knuckles and past guardians knew about this place. Knuckles and his friends actually defeated, fully defeated , eggman a few months ago...so him and his friends didn't have much to worry about. Knuckles still wanted to keep the emerald safe so he decided to bring it to this secret place. After he did that he was thinking of going down to möbius to go grocery shopping. He was running low on food and some other stuff so he decided he would go today. Knuckles got to the underground shrine and put the emerald on it he looked at it as it glowed and placed his hand on it...after a few seconds of silence knuckles took his hand off and left the shrine and went back above ground closing the door to the entrance. He then made his way to his hut and went inside to get his wallet and phone and also a shirt on. Did I mention that knuckles doesn't usually wear a shirt? He likes the feeling of the open air around the island. Anyway. Knuckles got a green tank top on and also grabbed his wallet and phone putting them in his blue skinny jeaned pockets then left the hut and glided down towards möbius. After landing right outside the city he looked around...the tall buildings and people walking all around wasn't something he was used to..he was usually, pretty much always alone on angel island. Rouge would visit now and then but just to see how he was doing. Knuckles always replied with a "doing good" then she would usually leave after that. Breaking out of his thoughts knuckles walked into the city and began looking for a grocery store. He soon found one and walked inside the store that was named "Möbius Goods" he walked inside and grabbed a basket and beg and wondering around the store to find what he was looking for. After grabbing some of the things he needed, mostly fruit and vegetables. He went to get some deli meats. While he was waiting for his order a little red and blue hedgehog standing by his mom looked up at him. Knuckles glanced down at him with his eyes a little confused to why he was looking at him..the young hedgehog kept staring at him knuckles then turned his head and looked at him the young hedgehog smiled at him and waved. Knuckles waved back a bit. " m-mister echidna...?" The young hedgehog spoke to knuckles. Knuckles looked back at him " hm? Uh. Yeah?" Knuckles replied to him with a little confused look. The young hedgehog spoke again " aren't u knuckles ? The guardian of the master emerald on a-angel land? " knuckles looked at him a little more confused " uh. Angel island ..yeah I am.." The young hedgehog holds up a picture of knuckles to him "c-can I have ur autograph...? U saved my daddy's life a while ago...when mister egg head man attacked möbius..." Knuckles was shocked and eyes widened a bit and he took the picture and looked at it then at the young echidna " u want...my autograph for saving ur father?" Knuckles questioned. The young hedgehog nodded "y-y-yes please...I-if y-your not to busy...I-I know you m-must be a busy super hero..." The hedgehog was barely able to speak infront of him now. He was now a little shy because knuckles was actually his favorite so called celebrity. Knuckles looked at him again then smiled a bit and chuckled a bit " of course I'll give u my autograph.." He said as he placed his shopping basket down and took out a marker from his pocket beginning to sign it. The little hedgehog looked up at him and his face was showing a whole lot of now and he smiled brightly "really!?" Knuckles nodded with a smile as he handed him back the picture with knuckles signature. The hedgehog looked at it and smiled brightly " of thank u thank u thank u!!!" He jumped on knuckles hugging him. Knuckles was a bit surprised then hugged back chuckling " ur very welcome kid...what's ur name?" Knuckles asked holding him in one arm as his other hand picked up his basket the younge hedgehog smiled " m-mark is my name " he smiled again. Just then marks mother was walking over " there u are mark " she smiles a bit. Knuckles looks at her and smiles a bit " is this ur mom?" Mark nodded and smiled " hi mommy!" He smiled " this is knuckles! Remember the one who saved daddy??" He said happily. His mom giggled a bit smiling more " oh yes I do remember..heh. " knuckles chuckled a bit and got an idea and whispered something in marks ear. Marks eyes went to knuckles then to his mom " uh m-mommy can u take a picture of me and mister knuckles?" His mother smiled happily and took out her cell phone " of course ". Knuckles out his basket down again and looked at mark " heh. Try to do what I do alright?"  Mark looked at him and nodded. " u two ready?" She said holding up her phone to take a picture. Knuckles looked toward her phone camera and used his free hand to flex his muscles on that arm. Mark looked at knuckles the looks at the camera as well and tried flexing his arm too and smiled. Knuckles smirked a bit as she took the picture. "Got it! " she said with a smile putting her phone back. Knuckles slowly put mark down and rubbed his head " heh. Guess I'll see u later buddy..." Knuckles said with a warm soft smile. Mark smiled brightly at him and hugged him. He was short so he was hugging knuckles lower stomach "thank u knuckles..." He said happily. Knuckles hugged him back and smiled " ur most welcome mark..." They both let go and mark walked to his mom and looked back at knuckles and waved good bye as they both left with a smile but before they left marks mom walked to knuckles " thank u..u made my sons day.." She smiled a bit and gave him a friendly kiss on the cheek. Knuckles blushed a little and smiled at her "h-heh. No problem mrs " he rubbed the back of his head. She giggled a bit and walked off with mark. Knuckles chuckled a bit and picked up his basket and got his deli mets and put it in his basket. Everyone around him was watching and all had smiles on their faces knuckles looked at them and waved a bit with a small smile before walking off. Knuckles walked to the aisle with the milk. He was looking for the whole milk when someone walked up to him " heh hey there knux" said a familiar voice. Knuckles looked over his shoulder and looked to see sonic standing there with a grin and his arms crossed. Knuckles nodded his head a bit " hey" he said and went back to looking for his milk " what do ya want sonic?" Knuckles said to him a bit irritated. Sonic chucked a bit " well. I saw u coming down here from angle island and I was gonna go by anyway. I wanted to ask u if u wanted to come to my house around 6 tonight for a party " knuckles looked over at him a bit putting the milk in his basket " what's the occasion ...?" Knuckles asked him " nothing really. Just a party " sonic shrugged. Knuckles sighed a bit " do I have to dress or anything? Like in a tux?"  Sonic shook his head " nah. U don't need to it's not that kind of party " he chuckled again. Knuckles looked at him and sighed again " alright fine..whatever " sonic smiled " alrighty then. See ya then " he held out his hand. Knuckles looked at it for a second then shocked sonics hand " alright.." Both let go of each other's hand and sonic waved a bit then walked off with a chuckle. Knuckles watched him walk away then just shook his head and walked towards the registers. After paying for his food and other things. Knuckles then held his three bags full of the things he bought. He then started walking back to angel island to return home..on the way home knuckles was thinking of today. 'Heh...I'm pretty happy I went today...man...mark was some kid...heh...someone actually notices my helping...' Knuckles sighed then thought about his mom that gave him a kiss on the cheek..knuckles blushed a little remembering ' I know that cheek kiss was friendly...but I think I felt something a bit more' knuckles shook it off then thought of the party sonic invited him to..knuckles didn't have such a good feeling about it. 'I mean..it's sonic...sigh. He only invites me over to have something to do...by making fun of me and all that..whatever...after this I'm probably not gonna hang out with them anyway after this...wait...I just said after this twice. ' " augh..." Knuckles said to himself and shook his and walked and stopped when he was under angel island. He glided up and landed on the island and began walking to his hut. In the last year knuckles improved a lot on his gliding he got so good at it that it was like he was flying. It wasn't like a glide anymore. It was like he had wings. Knuckles soon got to his hut and went inside. He out his stuff away and sat down on his couch and was eating grapes while he watched tv...knuckles was thinking about the party ...he looked at the time on his phone and saw it was 1:13 in the afternoon. He shrugged then continued watching tv. He had time before he needed to leave. So he say back and watched tv to make the time pass...
