You and the Seirin Team were sitting in a circle, playing truth or dare in a sleepover at your house.
You sat next to Kagami, sipping your soda as Riko spins the bottle that laid right in the middle of you.
The tip of the bottle points to Izuki and he looks at Riko eagerly. "Izuki~" Coach's 'innocent' voice calls with a glint in her eyes, "Truth or dare?"
"Uh... I dare choose truth." He says, grinning cheekily.
"If you were a girl, who would you date in this circle?" She asks.
He looks to you, "I'd become a lesbian and date [Last Name]-chan~"
"Ehhhh?!" You instantly respond, horrified of his decision.
"Dating my best friend is not an option, senpai." Kagami pulls you protectively and everyone laughs, including you.
"Then I'd date Mitobe~" He hugs the said person who's beside him. "He's so cute!" He says, rubbing their cheeks together.
Mitobe tries to push Izuki off and does so, making him pout. "My turn!" He spins and it lands on Kagami.
"Kagami, truth or dare?" He asks your red headed best friend.
Your eyes shift to Kagami, "Truth."
"Who do you like?" Izuki asks instantly and everyone pays attention to Kagami, seeing him blush slightly.
"Uh... Can I change to dare?" He suggests and Izuki thinks of it.
"Mmm... Fine, I dare you to tell us who your crush is." Izuki points and Kagami sighs.
"It's..." He blushes, shifting his eyes to you, your heart skips a beat, wondering why he looked at you, "It's [Enemy's Name]..."
You instantly felt a pang in your heart with no explanation whatsoever. You blinked a few times as everyone clapped and whistled at his love interest.
Riko and Hyuuga looked at you unsurely, then looked at each other and back to you. You gave them a questioning smile and they shook their heads.
The game went on and you were being more quiet than usual, but of course being the dork Kagami was, he didn't notice anything.

Later that night, Kagami and you hang out in your room. You were taking towels from your cabinet for the team while Kagami sat on your bed.
"Oi [First Name]," You hear your best friend from behind you. You hum questioningly, "Why are you so quiet?"
You shrugged off your surprise and placed the towels on the table. "Have I been quiet?" You force out a laugh.
"Don't give me that, I know you too well to be fooled by that." He sighs.
"I just didn't want to hear something earlier," You admit, "That's all~"
He sighs again, "Whatever's bothering you, you know you can tell me right?"
You thought about it for a second, "Yeah, I know." You look at him and smile, "But I think this time I don't need too, it's just too silly."
You get back to folding the towels neatly and proceeded to help Kagami send the towels down to the guest room, where everyone, including you were sleeping.

That night, you couldn't sleep. All you could think about was your best friend that could possibly end up with [Enemy's Name], the girl who did terrible things to you.
You rose from the couch, looking over the sleeping bodies all over the room. You decided to go outside for some air.
Sitting at the porch, you look up at the moon. 'Come on, [First Name], why are you so disappointed, why are you hurting. Let's just set aside the hate, it's for Taiga.'
You held your knees to your chest, closing your eyes. "Okay, something is really bothering you." You raise your head and open your eyes to see Kagami in front of you with his hand in his pant pocket.
"What are you doing up?" You smile at him. He chuckles, taking a seat beside you.
"I could ask you the same, you know." He states and you laugh.
"A lot on my head." You answer simply.
"I'm all ears," Kagami says and you sigh.
You close your eyes, "I'm just scared you might change, I guess." You wait for him to respond but he doesn't, "[Enemy's Name] isn't really fond of me, so she might change you somehow..."
The wind caresses your skin and blows through your hair as you wait for his response.
You feel arms wrap around your figure and you open your eyes to see Kagami. "I promise I won't change, [First Name]."
He holds up his pinky and you laugh, tears at the corners of your eyes. "Are you serious, Taiga?" He smiles, laughing with you. You hold up your pinky, joining it with his.
You hoped he keeps his promise as you led him back to the guest room and went to sleep as Taiga did too.

It has been roughly a week after Kagami confessed to [Enemy's Name]. You hadn't spoken to either one of them, nor seen them, other than in class.
Conveniently for the situation, Kagami had switched places from being next to you and Kuroko to next to the girl.
It wasn't like you were avoiding him, it was just that he was either too busy being with her or he's not there at all.
You constantly walked with Kuroko to classes or to the gym, since you were the manager, but one day, Kuroko was busy and apologized, telling you to go to the gym by yourself.
You walked through the corridors and went to your shoe locker. The lovely [Enemy's Name] was there, changing her shoes.
"Oh, it's [First Name]." She says, a smirk evident on her face.
You forced a smile, "Hello, [Enemy's Name]." You faced your locker, opening it and taking out your shoes.
"Did you hear?" She asks, "About me and Taiga-kun?" You internally cringed at how his name slipped off her lips. "Oh, how wonderful he is." You ignored her and tied your shoelaces, "I guess you haven't heard then, no wonder though, you haven't been the best friend he would like to have, not being there for him, not being happy for his relationship." She laughs, "That's good you haven't been around him though, you would just be an annoyance to him, I'm way better for him."
You look at her with a pained expression. Her smirk had grown wider, she knew she had got to you. You went to her and she raised an eyebrow. Slap.
You unconsciously slapped her. You blinked back the tears as she held her cheek. "You bitch!" She exclaims, running away.
You look at your hand, asking yourself what have you done, how would Taiga react. You slid down the locker and cried. She was right. She was better for him, she didn't even hit you, much less slap you, she was only speaking.
You texted Kuroko that you wouldn't be in practice because you weren't feeling well and went home.

You received a phone call from Taiga that night. You knew what was coming though, you knew her too well, she would have told a lie on you.
You picked up and instantly heard his breathing over the phone. You closed your eyes, "Hello?"
"What the hell did you do?" You hear him ask. You kept silent and he continued, "Slapping her for no fucking reason? Are you out of your mind?" You breathed as you kept yourself calm, "Answer me!" He raised his voice.
He had never raised his voice to you and your lips trembled as tears pooled at the end of your eyes. "It was an accident, I-"
"Don't give me that bullshit." He cuts in. "You were jealous. Of her, of us. That's no reason to get fucking violent."
"No, I wasn't-" You start again.
"She did nothing wrong! Why did you have to slap her?!" He cuts you of again. "You need to apologize."
"Wh-what?" You ask.
"I don't care. It's your fault and she won't fucking stop crying. Her face hurts, it's all your fucking fault, you- you bitch." He says and that's when you lost it. You let out a shaky breath as your tears flowed.
"I'm not talking to you until you do justice to your actions." He says before hanging up.
You cried, putting your phone down. He changed. He promised he wouldn't. You cried yourself to sleep that night, not bothering to even change out of your uniform.

The next morning, in a fresh new uniform, you went to school. You wore concealer to conceal your bags from crying and plastered a smile.
"[Last Name]-san, are you alright?" You hear Kuroko's voice next to you. You jump slightly and look at him.
"I'm fine, Kuroko-kun." You smile, looking to the door, seeing Kagami who glanced at you and walked to his seat with no word whatsoever.
A few minutes later, you see [Enemy's Name] walk in with twice the amount of makeup, possibly to cover up her cheek.
You sigh internally as Kagami begins to examine her cheek, to which she flinches to and pouts.

During practice, you and Kagami would usually at least greet each other, but today, it was different. No words were exchanged between you two.
You were right beside Riko and she looked at you and you wrote on your clipboard as you assessed the team members. "What is it, senpai?" You ask her without looking at her.
"Are you okay?" She asks you and you look at her with a smile.
You nod, "I'm great, why?"
"Just making sure..." She trails of before looking at the entrance of the gym.
You followed her line of sight to see [Enemy's Name] there. "Hi coach, when do I start?"
"Start what?" Riko asks, clearly confused.
"I'm the new manager." She says, staring down at you. "Why is she still here?"
"What new manager, [First Name]-chan's already our manager." Riko clarifies.
She frowns, "I just wanted to spend more time with Taiga-kun," She sighs, "Can I watch?"
"Um..." You look back down to your clipboard and continue writing. "Sure." Riko says and she cheers, taking a seat next to you.
Taiga comes out of the changing room and [Enemy's Name] goes to him, giving him a peck on the cheek. Kagami smiles as you look away and feel the stares on you.

The team had been really distant lately. It wasn't like they stopped telling jokes and including you or anything, it was just that, they were usually busy.
One day, you were walking alone again through the corridors, and you heard a thump in the girl's bathroom. Curiosity got to you and you decided to go in and check if everything was alright.
You pushed the door open to instantly head giggling. Her giggling. You suspected that Kagami was with her, but instead you saw her leaning up against the sink with someone else, making out.
You blinked and felt rage, but kept it in and left the bathroom. You argued in your head wether to tell Kagami or not.
Even if he was acting cold to you, not replying you or not even acknowledging you, he was still your friend. You decided to tell him anyways.
So fortunately that day, you and Kagami were the only ones present in the gym, while the others were late.
He shot another basket as you watched him. He sat down and gulped down half a bottle of water. "Ta- K-Kagami..." You were unsure of what to call him.
At the sound of his surname slipping off your voice, his eyes widened. He looked at you, waiting for what you have to say. He was keeping his word, he won't speak to you until you apologize for hitting [Enemy's Name]. He stood back up and continued to shoot as he listened.
"I have to tell you something important," You start, "[Enemy's Name].... She's... She's cheating on you."
At that, the ball in his hands slipped. "Now you're accusing her?" He starts. It was the first time in weeks that you heard his voice, but you didn't want to hear it like this.
"No, I-" You start.
He cuts in, "She has been nothing but nice to you these couple of weeks. Can't you just fucking let it go that we're together?!"
You kept silent as he continued. "And I thought that you were the nice one, but [Enemy's Name] is right," You see him clench his fist, "You are just a lying bitch."
You automatically went to the girl's toilet and washed your face, making sure you were calm and not crying.

The very next day, Kagami didn't come to school. Instead, on the way home, you saw him shooting baskets in the nearby court of yours and Kagami's neighborhood.
He looked stressed and you knew if he was shooting that much, something was really bothering him.
At the sound of your footsteps, he looked to you and you stood a couple of feet away from him. "You- you were right..."
He puts his head in his hands in frustration. You walk to him, wrapping your hands around his body. You feel his arms snake around your waist and his face in the crook of your neck.
"I-I I'm so sorry..." He says and you smile to nothing, patting his back.

A few weeks have passed and you and Kagami weren't really that close yet. He avoids you in a shy way, making you question him.
You received a text from Riko which said 'Come to the auditorium, it's very very important!!'
You walked there, humming a tune to yourself along the way. You opened the auditorium door and hesitantly entered the pitch black room. "S-senpai?"
[A/N - LETS PRETEND FOR A SECOND YOURE AFRAID OF THE DARKNESS BC I AM TERRIFIED OF THE DARKNESS I CANNOT BE A VAMPIRE.]
"[First Name]?" You hear Kagami call out.
"T-Taiga?" You ask as you hear the door behind you shut closed. You try to open them but you couldn't, it was locked. "I-I'm scared."
"Where are you?" You hear the swish of his sports shoes through the floor.
"Entrance..." You tell him and you hear rushed footsteps going toward you.
You closed your eyes, in case it wasn't Kagami but was back assured when you felt Kagami's arms around you. "T-Taiga, why are you here?" You wrapped your arms around his waist.
"Coach told me to be here," He says, tightening his hold on you as you shrunk in fear. "We have to get out of here."
You nod against his chest as he unwraps his arms and took your hand, lacing your fingers together.
He starts walking and so do you, and you feel a cold breeze go through you. You hear footsteps behind you and a shriek.
You hugged Kagami in fear and you feel him looking around. Suddenly a spotlight lands on you and Kagami.
"Oh guys, we did a great job~" You hear Riko's voice on the speakers. The lights then turn on and one by one the members of Seirin Team reveal themselves from hiding.
"What were you thinking, coach?" Kagami asks, sweat dropping. "You scared her to the core, see she's still shaking."
"I-I'm fine, Taiga..." You say and Izuki 'boo's behind you and you jump, clinging onto Kagami.
Everyone laughs and you hear Kagami chuckle. "Let's really get out of here and get you to calm down." He kisses your head and you calm down, feeling heat rising up to your cheeks.
"Ohhhh so we didn't need to do anything," Coach purrs.
Kagami laughs, pushing you away slightly to capture your hand in his. "Thanks senpais."

Do you guys ever have that feeling to sing but you're in public?
I was in Miri, Sarawak, yesterday. While I was shopping around, I was singing quietly and my brother was beatboxing to my singing and this lady, while we were waiting for my parents, was looking at us, I don't know if it was out of amazement or curiosity, but when I looked back at her, she smiled so wide.
