Director Nick Fury sat in his office, going through files on his desk. Valerie Stark, Samantha Coulson, Caleb Rodgers... He was in charge of deciding how would be chosen and who would be scrapped.
He groaned and our his head in his head. He did not enjoy this. A knock on his door gave him a escape from his misery. "Come in."
"Are you almost finished?" Agent Phil Coulson asked.
Fury nodded, "I just have your daughter left."
Coulson stiffened.
"Which one?"
Fury glanced down at the paper in his hand, "Stephanie. I think she would be a good addition to the team."
"No."
"Excuse me?" Nick Fury had never been told no by one of his agents before.
"I said no. Stephanie is too young. She will not join the others."
Fury sighed. "Fine. As you wish. Let's just hope Bullet can do the job."
Coulson frowned at the mention of his eldest daughter. "Sam can handle it."
"Good. Now go tell Hill I'm finished."
"Is it time?" Coulson questioned.
"It's time to assemble the New Avengers."
