It took a couple of days for Elias to calm down his nerves. Even though he and Micah talked about them being mates and taking it slow, he was still extremely confused by it. He told Micah he needed a little space, to which Micah agreed. Elias could see that it affected Micah, but the werewolf kept it quiet.
Elias' thoughts were interrupted when the doorbell rung. He went downstairs and was surprised to see Raphael at the door. He moved aside, asking if Raph wanted to come in.
"Uh, no thanks," Raphael replied, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly, before he took out a book from his bag, "I just came to give you this. It's a book on werewolves and mates. It'll help you learn more about us. If you're interested, of course."
"Wow," Elias' face lit up, as he took the book with the black leather cover, "That's actually really cool of you. Thank you."
"No problem," Raphael smiled, "I also wanted to tell you that uh, Micah really cares for you. And it's been hard on him too, a human mate is very rare, and him being the next Alpha he doesn't know how to go on about it. I get that you need space but please don't reject him without giving this a shot."
"I wasn't going to reject him. I know what happens when a werewolf gets rejected and I don't want him to go through that." Elias replied.
"Oh, okay. Cool. Yeah. I'll leave now. Bye." Raphael awkwardly replied before turning on his heels and jogging back to his car. Elias chuckled at Raphael's uneasiness begore shutting the door and going back to his room to do some reading.
The more Elias read, the more fascinated he got. Elias has always had commitment issues, he never stuck around at one place for long enough to form any sort of lasting relationships. Friends came and went. And slowly he became detached from people.
Kyle was his longest boyfriend and friend. And that was only because his mum was tired of moving after his other mum passed away. Though they did end up moving to Los Angeles, but that was after two years of staying at the same place. The longest ever.
From what Elias gathered, the mate bond was the most sacred aspect of being a werewolf. Mates loved each other for life, never leaving or cheating on the other. Mates were constant, and the more Elias thought about it, the more he realized how amazing the idea of Micah being in his life forever sounded.

"Okay, so we're going to talk about this calmly, yeah?" Jensen said, "No tearing anybody's head off."
"No promises," Micah growled, looking at Jared that sat opposite him, who immediately growled in return.
"Micah! You know how much Elias hates violence!" Jensen reminded Micah, and he finally stopped growling, Jensen turned towards his brother, giving him a stern look, "And you have a baby on the way! Jesus, Jar, you need to leave the past behind!"
"That son of a fucker ruined my life!" Jared said.
"You ruined his life!" Micah replied, "He hates werewolves because of you."
"Look, we can either butt heads like dumb animals, or we can talk about this and sort it like rational humans!" Jensen said.
All the boys paused for a minute when they heard a knock on the front door. Micah didn't even take a second to recognize the scent, he looked at Jensen with a murderous glare, to which he raised his hands in defense.
"I may or may not have tricked your mate into coming over. But it's for the best. You won't kill Jared while he's here." Jensen said.
"And what about Jared hurting him?" Micah growled.
"I'm not going to hurt a human, that too your mate that hasn't done anything wrong, I'm not that big of an asshole." Jared muttered, Micah wasn't convinced but he did calm down.
When Jensen walked back into the living room with Elias, the shock on the poor boy's face was visible upon seeing two angry wolves ready to murder each other. Jensen quickly apologised and explained the situation to Elias, who just sighed and nodded in return.
Micah was shocked when Elias chose to sit next to him. And his heart almost jumped out of his chest when the boy took Micah's hand in his own. Micah was at a loss of words, and just stared at their intertwined fingers, his rage immediately leaving his body.
"So, how are we going to resolve this?" Elias began.
"There's no way to resolve this." Jared mumbled.
"Of course there is! There's always a way!" Elias said, his brows furrowed.
"Okay then wise human, you tell us. How do we resolve this when all I want to do is kill your mate's brother?" Jared said. Micah's grip became tighter, to which Elias just looked at him with a comforting smile on his face.
"Okay Jared, why are you angry at Micah's brother?" Elias asked calmly.
"He got us kicked out of the pack when it wasn't even my fault!"
"But because you got kicked out, you left and found your mate, didn't you? You wouldn't have met her if you were stuck here." Elias rationalised. Jared bit his lip nervously, he knew Elias was right.
"Jensen got kicked out too. He has to live in a city with werewolves without a pack. He wouldn't join me in my mate's pack. Because of Jeremiah, he's suffering too. You're human, you don't know how hard it is to be without a pack." Jared shook his head lightly, looking down.
"I may not.. understand the werewolf bit of it. But I do understand how hard it is to be without someone to back you up. Jensen, why don't you join his mate's pack?" Elias asked.
"Because that's not my pack," Jensen sighed, "This is my city. My home. Even though I got kicked out, nobody hates me, they know I wasn't at fault. It's only the Alpha family that can't accept me."
"Okay," Elias nodded, before turning towards Micah, "How do you feel about accepting Jensen into your pack once you're the Alpha?"
"I can think about it." Micah muttered.
"That's not good enough, Micah." Elias said.
"I know, okay? I know Jensen did nothing wrong. My father doesn't care about that and he'd never accept Jensen but.. he's not half bad. He's a strong wolf. I think he might be good for the pack." Micah said.
"Wait, are you saying what I think you're saying?" Jensen asked, a huge grin on his face.
"Yeah," Micah nodded, "I'll accept you back into the pack once I'm Alpha."
Jensen cheered, and Elias smiled widely. Micah looked at the grin on Elias' face and melted. He was proud of how Elias solved years of bad blood in a few minutes just with his words. All he did was hear everyone out and come with a solution that suited everyone.
"I'll just call Mia and tell her I'm on my way back." Jared said, smiling softly at his brother before walking out of the room.

Micah was surprised when Elias invited him over after they were done at Jensen's place. He nodded his head rapidly, making Elias laugh. The two drove in silence. Micah's heart was beating fast as the two of them entered Elias' room.
Elias sat next to Micah on the bed. Their thighs were touching, as the two boys stared at their own laps. It took a couple of minutes before Elias finally broke the silence.
"I think I'm- I think I'm okay with this." Elias said.
"Okay with what exactly?" Micah asked, looking at Elias.
"Us. Us being mates, specifically." Elias answered.
"Are you sure? What made you change your mind?"
"You did. The way that you look at me, it makes me feel so- like someone adores me. You make me feel cared for. Special. I've never thought long term about anything. But the way I feel for you in such a short time, I think I can get used to it. I want us to work out."
"And we will." Micah said with determination in his eyes, Elias was finally ready to give them a try and he wasn't going to let him down. Ever.
"Good, now I can finally do this." Elias smiled widely, before pressing his lips against Micah's.
Micah smiled into the kiss, which turned heated in a matter of seconds. Micah pushed Elias back, laying on top of him as they both kissed. Their hands were everywhere, touching each other as much as they could. When Elias tugged at Micah's shirt, he didn't take a second before pulling it off.
He started unbuttoning Elias' shirt, and soon the two of them were shirtless, and then moments later their jeans were off too.
Micah kissed down Elias' chest, making the boy sigh in pleasure. He nipped on his bare skin, licking and sucking, leaving marks everywhere. He wanted to mark Elias as much as he could. He was finally his.
As Micah reached the waistband or Elias' underwear, he slightly hesitated. Micah had waited his entire life for his mate. He never dared to look at anyone, let alone do anything sexual. Heck, Elias was his first kiss. He knew that Elias was much more experienced than him, and he didn't want to disappoint him.
Elias immediately realised what was up. He ran his fingers through Micah's hair, making him look up. He smiled a reassuring smile before nodding. Micah felt slightly less nervous. He took off Elias' boxers, his mate was now completely bare in front of him, and he knew he'd never forget this sight.
He pressed kisses on Elias' inner thighs, making the boy squirm and open his legs wider. Micah ran his hands up and down Elias' chest, teasing his nipples with his fingers. He looked up to see Elias' eye closed, as his bit his lips and Micah felt a tingle go through his body.
He finally took hold of Elias' dick, jerking it off a few times before he licked the head. Elias' eyes grew wide open as soon as Micah's tongue touched him. Micah licked it from the tip to the base, repeating the action a few times before he took the head in his mouth.
