"Athanasia" meaning ||Immortality/ Eternal Life|| is the name given to the 6 year old Princess of Obelia.
But no matter how beautiful her name is as a befitting Heir to the throne, what Athanasia wants the most is the love of her Father.
How she longed for him to look at her
Every night before she sleeps she prays and wished that one day her beloved father will love her as much as she loves him return
"I will work hard and will make him proud of me one day" she gripped on her hands praying to whoever will hear her wish will make it come true
"If I study hard, I'm sure I will be able to help father with his work."
"Also, if I study swords I will be able to protect him but it sounds too tiring maybe I'll think about it..."
"What about Magic? If I study magic I will be able to do anything. I will also learn how to be a proper Princess so I won't shame him in front of the others"
"Every day, I will work had for him, so that I will become a Daughter that he will be proud of" she wished her eyes glistening, excited for her future
She imagined her father looking at her warmly, carrying her while she hugged him back, and taking a walk in the gardens having a lovely father and daughter time
She have always wished for it
So she did what she wanted to do, she learned everything she can, be it on how a proper lady, etiquette, studying, magic. She had learned it all mostly from basics as she is desperate
A year had passed
And one afternoon, she had a dream
Someone introduced a girl to her father as his daughter, and he took interest in her as soon as he saw her, he looks at her with warm eyes while he looks at Athanasia as if she's a total stranger to him
Then a scene of her begging to her father on her knees why she couldn't love her back and what he said to her broke her into pieces then he left her there sobbing it felt like the world hated her from the beginning
Then a different scene made her blood run cold
She's hanging lifelessly while her father just sat there looking at her
"A befitting end for a delusional wench" he laughed
Athanasia just stood there completely shocked
After that she woke up, sweating
"Is that a dream? An omen? The future? No, that can't be..." she thought to herself, her father won't do that cruel thing to her, she is her father.
"What if father had forgotten about me?" her heart stings just by thinking about it "Lily said father loved mother so much" she murmured
Athanasia looked outside then thought of an idea
"I want to see Father."
She walked outside the ruby palace and wandered around thinking that she would run unto him and she really did
The two looked at each other
Athanasia's face lit while Claude's expression didn't change
Behind her father is a red haired knight named "Felix". He looked at her in awe and just bowed behind Claude then she turned to the blonde in front of him
"Uh...uhmm....Nice to meet you" she bowed at him but she didn't hear any reply
"Felix, who is this bug?" his question turned her face white
"Your Majesty, she's-" his reply was cut off when athanasia spoke
"I am...." She gritted her teeth "My Name is Athanasia De Alger Obelia"
"Obelia? From the royal family?" he scoffed at her. Athanasia who has her head low wanted to cry but she can't, she must hide her emotions as to not embarrass herself in front of her father
"Yes. I am Athanasia, your Daughter." She answered firmly with no hesitation.
"I am your daughter, Father." She repeated but Claude didn't answer
"Perhaps she has been wandering the palace for a long time that she started to hallucinate." He smirked at the knight behind him
"No, Your Majesty. She really is your daughter." He confirmed, siding with the princess who's in the verge of crying
"Nonsense, since when did I have something like that?" he snickered but Felix is adamant face tells that he's not jesting
"Enough jokes . Let's go Felix. " he walked away from the girl but to his surprise she caught on his dress
"Wait. I...I...I'm telling the truth, I really am Father's Dau-"
"get your hands off or I'll kill you" he coldly looked at her which sends chills down to her spine she unconsciously let go of her grip and Claude just left her there alone while Felix looked back at her in worry
