EMMA: "I think we should split this part into groups of three when we sing it."
SHIZUKU: "Yeah, then from here to here everyone can sing. This part too."
KANATA: "Wait, what about everyone's vocal range? We should figure that out first."
AKI: "Vocal range?"
AYUMU: "They're so dependable."
KARIN: "It's true, look at how efficient they are with this stuff. Kanata looks like she knows a lot about this."
KASUMI: "Shizuko is so cool. I mean, I know how to do all of that stuff too of course. Right Senpai?"
AKI: "Uhh..."
RINA: "What stuff specifically?"
KASUMI: "You know... Stuff like......URK!"
SETSUNA: "It's reassuring that we have three members with prior group experience."
AI: "You kidding us Setsu? You're the one who won 7th place the other day! Please tell us what to do!"
SETSUNA: "Huh?! Oh... About that, I kinda have no experience whatsoever with working in idol groups."
AI: "For real? I guess you've always been flyin' solo."
SETSUNA: "Right, but working in a group may become fun after all!"
Even though everyone looked severely unsure when I first mentioned the group idea... They now look like they're warming up to it and enjoying it.
It feels kinda nice to come together to work on a single goal. A lot like what μ's or Aqours would do.
Just like that performance I saw in Akihabara, I want to see the members of Nijigasaki with their individual appeals. To take them and combine together to become something more, just like μ's and Aqours.
AI: "Hey, Chief! Stop zoning out!"
KANATA: "Hmph, you're ignoring your own advice and taking a nap?"
AKI: "Oh, sorry about that. Need help with something?"
SETSUNA: "We want to hear your thoughts about how to split up the singing, chorus and the dancing."
KASUMI: "Senpai, do you have some kind of plan to beat μ's and Aqours?!"
AKI: "Umm y-yeah! You see you take this part here and you put it over there..."
KASUMI: "Right?"
AKI: "Then you take this part and dance there."
SETSUNA: "That's, not what I was expecting..."
AKI: "Ooh! Maybe place this part here!"
KASUMI: "Senpai, that's where the first part was in the first place before you moved it."
Uh oh... WHAT DO I DO?!
KASUMI: "Senpai... Do you know anything about distribution?"
AKI: "Not really... All I know is what I've studied from μ's and Aqours videos. From their live shows I have to say, their singing and dancing are amazingly synchronized. Even down to the poses, jumps and landings."
AI: "Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Ai see."
AKI: "But even so, whilst using the same choreography, each member made it her own."
KARIN: "So the point of all of this, isn't to kill our individuality?"
KANATA: "That's a relief. I could never do things the way Karin does."
AYUMU: "Th-That's a good point. Moves that look smooth with Karin's long limbs would look completely different if I tried them."
AKI: "..."
RINA: "Is there anything we can do about that? Rina-chan Board says...'puzzled'."
KARIN: *Chuckle* "But it's not like this choreography will be made just for me. This performance is for all of us. Also, there are poses that can make your arms and legs look longer."
KASUMI: "What? Really?! I-I'd... We'd love to hear all about that. Please teach them during our group lessons!"
AKI: "Oh, that's a great idea! I'm sure that with all of your unique personalities combined, we should be able to put on an amazing performance. Oh, I can't wait to see it! I'm getting all excited!"
SHIZUKU: "Perhaps we should look back over our previous performances, and pick out the spots where our individuality really shined through?"
AKI: "I kinda wrote the songs but somehow you all shined through with your own individuality. I don't think we should entirely discard the whole songwriting idea."
AYUMU: "..."
SETSUNA: "The whole thing was videotaped, right? Let's watch it while we talk things over!"
EMMA: "For this show, we should all chip in our ideas to make it the best performance ever!"
KASUMI: "We'll show the one that brought us together that I-... WE are just as good as μ's and Aqours!"
SHIZUKU: "That's right! If we're going to be standing on the same stage as them, we don't want people thinking that we're not as good as they are!"
RINA: "I'd like you to tell us more about μ's and Aqours' strengths."
AKI: "You're in for a long lecture, but leave it to me!"
KARIN: "I'm getting fired up! Can we play the video now? Let's review the choreography while we watch."
EMMA: "Here, it's ready on my phone. We can watch it now."
SETSUNA: "It wasn't that long ago but it already feels so nostalgic."
KARIN: "Stop reminiscing and start reviewing!"
SETSUNA: "O-Okay!"
KANATA: "Rina, can you categorize everyone's singing ranges on your computer?"
RINA: "I was in the middle of doing that, see? What do you think?"
SHIZUKU: "Wow, that's great! This will make it much easier to decide who should sing which part!"
KASUMI: "Well, I want to sing the part I would be best at."
AI: "Hey! We all have to cooperate, remember?"
AYUMU: "I think you should sing this part Kasumi."
KASUMI: "Awww, I love you, Ayumu!"
AI: "Wait! What about me? You love me too, right?!"
KASUMI: "Y-Yes! I do! I do!"
Oh yeah, it's all coming together.
I wonder what μ's and Aqours are like in their daily lives. Do they act like us here at Nijigasaki? Or are they more professional?
The thought of seeing the same kind of performance from Nijigasaki that I saw at the μ's and Aqours joint performance feels like a dream!
