I counted
the molts of
butterfly to
know when I
might soar,
but was told it
doesn't work
for us, at
least not
anymore
butterfly
sliptwists
its outside
bones into
perfect flight,
while we with
bones inside
of us use
breath to
change
our sight
why
were we
made soft
flesh outside
yet so deep
in bone?
was it
to forever
feel our
earth and
never to be
shown?
