~A couple days later~
Me and Austin went on our 'date'. it was perfect. he took me out to dinner then a movie and after the movie we laid in the grass at the park and watched the stars. it was amazing and I'm falling for him. I'm going to admit it now. there's been a lot of weird things happening here lately around school and there's been a couple killings. it's freaking all of us out, Austin's been staying at my house because he's to paranoid to go somewhere else. he says he doesn't want to leave me alone by myself which I'm pretty sure I can handle myself but I think it's adorable how he wants to protect me.

I got home after school and I went upstairs. I grabbed some clothes and went into the bathroom. I turned on the water and took my clothes off. I got in and the hot water felt amazing on my tense muscles. I washed my hair and my body. I got out then slipped on short shorts and one of jacks old t-shirts. I brushed my hair and let it air dry. I walked into my room and I looked at the time. It's already 7:30, Austin usually comes through my window around this time because it's starting to get dark around this time. I looked out my window and I didn't see Austin's car. I was starting to get worried, what if someone killed him? What if some one tied him up and they want me to find him? All these questions were running through my head.
I sat on my bed and pulled my knees to my chest. I sat there terrified, I wonder if jack is home. I got up and I walked down the hall. I knocked on his door, no answer. My brother and Austin are gone. Where could they be. All of a sudden I heard Austin howl in pain. I ran down the stairs and out the front door. I ran into the woods with no shoes on. I ran as fast as my legs would take me. Austin's scent was getting closer. I kept running and then I saw someone laying on the ground. I stopped and knelt down, it's Austin. I said"A-Austin what happened". He was holding his side.
"Carter we have to get out of here now" Austin said in a panicked voice. I helped him up and we ran back to my house. We stopped at my front door and Austin said"I can't go in there, your parents". I said"no ones home yet". I opened the door and helped him up the stairs. I walked him to the bathroom and he sat down on the toilet seat. He was loosing consciousness and falling over. I grabbed him and said"Austin stay with me". He opened his eyes a little bit and I said" where are you injured".
He patted his side and I grabbed the hem of his shirt and lifted it over his head. I gasped and I could feel the tears forming in my eyes. I looked down at a huge deep cut on his side and I couldn't stop crying. Austin whispered"I'll *breath* heal". I said"who did this". His head started falling and I caught it. I said"Austin please stay with me, I can't loose you....please". I sat him up and I grabbed the first aid kit. I cleaned his cut and grabbed a needle. I put the string through the needle and I said"this is going to hurt". I put the needle through the cut and I sewed it up. I got a wash cloth and wet it. I cleaned up all the blood and Austin was trying so hard to keep his eyes open. I said"where's my brother". Austin shrugged his shoulders and I said"let's lay you down". I put his arm over my shoulders and I guided him to my room. I laid him down and I looked at the cut. It was starting to heal just a little. I sighed in relief and smiled. Austin grabbed my hand and smiled weakly. I ran a hand through his hair. I said"who did this".
He said"I couldn't see it, the thing was fast and it smelt like death". I said"did you see anything". He said"I saw a huge figure but that's all". I said"we'll find out what it is". Austin nodded and grabbed my shirt pulled me to his level. He whispered"I don't know what I would do without you". He kissed me and I smiled against his lips. I pulled away and looked at his shirtless body. Toned abs, tan, and sexy. We act like a couple but sadly we aren't. I looked down at my hands and played with them. Austin grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers. I didn't look up at him. I just sat there and rubbed circles on the back of Austin's hand. "Carter ..........look at me........please". I looked up with tears in my eyes. I'm hurt and scared. The reason I'm hurt is because I am in love with Austin but I'm afraid he's going to play me. The reason I'm scared is because of what is happening here lately and I'm afraid my parents are going to be in danger. Austin looked deep into my eyes trying to read me.
A tear fell down my face and I quickly wiped it away. Austin said"come here". He held his arms open and I softly hugged him. He said"carter". I said" yeah" and pulled away. He reached into his jean pocket and pulled out a box. He handed it to me and I opened it. It was a heart shaped lock-it necklace. I picked it up and opened the lock-it. On one side it had a picture of me and Austin then the other side said:

I smiled and looked up at Austin. He smiled and said"will you umm.....be....uhh- my girlfriend?". He looked up at me and I don't know what to say. He said"before you answer I want to say that you have changed me into the man I am today and I'm thankful to have you in my life and I've been talking to my mom here lately and she wants me to come back home and carter you make me feel so happy when I'm around you and I-I'm in love with you carter". Wow. I couldn't breathe, I was so happy to hear all this. I said" yes I'll be your girlfriend". He smiled and I smiled back. I put the necklace on and I laid next to Austin. He wrapped his arms around me and I looked down at his cut. It wasn't healing, I need to stop thinking about it, he'll heal. He said"I'm so glad your mine". I smiled and said" where's jack". Austin said"I don't know we were both walking through the woods coming here and we heard something and jack starting running and I guess I wasn't fast enough and the thing got me". I sighed and said"I'm glad your ok....I just hope jack is ok". He said"he'll be fine, thanks for saving me tonight". I looked up at him and he smiled. I said"your welcome". He puckered his lips and I kissed him. This time it wasn't just any kiss, this one felt different then all the other ones.
I pulled away and smiled. I grabbed Austin's hand and played with his fingers. He intertwined our fingers and kissed the back of my hand. I smiled and looked up at him. All of a sudden I hear tyler howl. I said"did you hear tyler". Austin nodded. I said"he needs us". Austin sat up and grabbed his side. I helped him up and I said"I'll go get you a shirt from jacks room". He said"no I'm fine just get me out to my car". I nodded and I helped him down the stairs and out to his car. I said"I'll drive". Austin nodded and I helped him into the passenger seat.
I got in the drivers seat and left. We got to Tyler's loft and I helped Austin into the building. His cut looked terrible, anyways we got up into the loft and everyone was in there. Tyler, Jack, Stiles, and some new guy. Austin wrapped his arm around my shoulders to keep himself up. Tyler said"bring him over to the table". I nodded and walked him over to the table. He laid across the table and tyler examined his cut.
I looked at the new guy and he had dark brown hair that was Bieberish. He has greenish blue eyes and a perfect white smile. I said"who are you". Jack said"this is Walker he needs our help". I said"why he looks like he can defend himself". Walkers eyes started glowing yellow and he fell to the floor grabbing his ears. I said"is he a new werewolf". Stiles said"technically yes because tyler decided you guys needed a new member and walker here doesn't have a clue what's going on".
Jack said"and tyler wants you to teach him his ways". I said"what? Why". I looked at tyler and he said" because I want you to learn team work". I said"team work! Haha that's kind of funny when my brother ditched Austin in the woods and he gets hurt, yeah we got a lot of team work". Jack glared at me and tyler said"also you guys need to learn to defend yourselves too". I rolled my eyes and tyler grabbed a blow torch. He looked down at Austin and said"this may hurt". I grabbed Austin's hand and tyler started torching his cut. Austin's eyes started glowing yellow and his teeth were sharp like werewolf teeth. He yelped and screamed. Tyler finished and Austin rolled off the table and on to the floor. His face was twisted with pain. I said"are you ok".
Tyler said"he's fine". He walked around the table in front of Austin and said"get up". Austin's breaths were uneven and he said"I-I can't". Tyler said"I said get up!". Austin grabbed the table and edged his way up. I grabbed his arm and helped him. Tyler looked at me and said"I didn't tell you to help him". I said"yeah well I don't give a fuck.....I'm leaving, I'll come by to get walker after school". Tyler said"you better be here". I glared at him and helped Austin out to his car. I was livid why would tyler be so harsh to Austin? What did Austin ever do to him? I was speeding back home. Austin grabbed my hand pulling me out of my thoughts and said"it's ok...stop speeding". I nodded and slowed down. I got home and my parents still weren't home. I helped Austin into the house and sat him down on the sofa. I went into the kitchen and there was a note from my parents:
'Dear jack and carter,
Me and your father are going on a trip to Ireland we will be back in two weeks. Take care, we love you guys.

Mom and dad'
I sighed and grabbed two waters. I walked back in the living room and handed one to Austin. He thanked me and I nodded. I ran up stairs and grabbed one of jacks white t-shirts. I went downstairs and looked at Austin's cut. It was dirty looking so I walked into the bathroom and grabbed a first aid kit. I walked out and sat next to Austin. I started cleaning it up and Austin winced in pain. I put a big bandage over it and slipped the white t-shirt over his head. He put it on and smiled at me. I said"my parents are gone for two weeks". He smiled and said"I really need a shower". I said"I'm not giving you one". He said"I know". He pulled me up onto his lap and cupped my face. He traced my lips with the pad of his thumb. I could feel his breath on my lips. I smiled and leaned in. Our lips connected and sparks flew everywhere. We had a little make out session until someone walked through the front door. I pulled away from Austin and sat next to him before the person walked in to the living room. Jack and stiles walked in. Jack said"where's mom and dad". I said"they went to Ireland for two weeks". Jack nodded and him and stiles went upstairs. I looked over at Austin and he was slowly falling asleep. I giggled and said"let's go to sleep". Austin nodded and he stood up on his own. I stood up and grabbed his hand. We went upstairs to my room and I laid down. Austin changed into basketball shorts then laid beside me. He wrapped his arm around my waist and I smiled. He kissed my cheek and said"goodnight carter". I said"goodnight Austin". Then we both passed out.
