Chapter Twenty-Nine

I sat up abruptly in my bed late at night, my tired eyes scanning my room. Why did I wake up? Suddenly, a glow from my phone caught my eye from my nightstand that was next to my bed and I reached over to check it.

Stiles was calling me.

I frowned. I haven't talked to Stiles in about 2 days, things are just awkward now between him and I. I kind of miss him, but I push those thoughts aside and focused on my anger.

I sighed and rubbed my eyes, what could he possibly want at this hour of the night? I picked it up. "Hi," I put it on speaker. I frowned when Stiles didn't respond, there was a slight buzzing sound on the other end of the phone. "Stiles?" I heard his breathing. It was more of nervous breathing, it was heavy.

I sat up a little bit, something was telling me something was wrong. "Stiles?" I asked softly. "Are you there?"

"A-Addison?" He stutters a little over the phone, he had whispered my name out. He sounded scared.

"Hey," I tell him. "I'm here... You okay? Can you hear me?"

"Addison, I don't... I don't know where I am," Stiles admits over the phone shakily and I frowned again. What does he mean he doesn't know where he is? "I don't know how I got here." He definitely sounded scared. "I think was sleepwalking."

"Okay, um," I mumbled, wondering why he called me instead of Scott. "Can you see anything? Just tell me what you see."

"Ah, it's dark," Stiles answered my question shakily. "It's hard to see. I think there's something wrong with my..." The phone then disconnects, making my breath hitch.

"Stiles?" I squeaked out, wondering why he hung up on me. I got out of my bed, pacing around my room anxiously, calling him again.

"Hey, this is Stiles and you missed me. Leave a message..." Stiles' voice went to inbox and I frowned.

I hung up; worried now. Now he won't answer my calls? Something is seriously wrong and he needs to answer me, like right now.

I tried calling again and inhaled sharply. "Come on," I mutter under my breath.

"Hey, this is Sti..." I hung up again frustratedly and threw my phone to the bed, letting out a short yell. My eyes widen, shit, I didn't mean to yell.

"God, come on," I muttered and suddenly my phone started to ring again; I dived on my bed and picked up the phone. "Stiles?"

"Addison," he shakily said. "I don't think I can get out of here. I can't move."

"Where are you?" I asked again, quickly this time because I can't afford him hanging up on me like that again.

"I don't know," he whimpered out, making my heartache for him. He's terrified. "I don't know, it's too dark. I can't see much and something's wrong with my leg. Its stuck on something. And its... I think its bleeding."

"How bad?" I nervously asked. "Stiles, how bad is it?" My eyes widen when Stiles' didn't answer me and I was scared he had hung up on me again. "Stiles, are you there? Can you hear me?"

"Ah, there's some kind of smell down here," Stiles admits and I let out a nervous sigh. He's still here, that's good. "Something smell terrible. It's brutal. My eyes are watering."

"Okay, listen," I tell him soothingly. "I'm calling your Dad."

"No, no, no, no, don't." Stiles quickly said, his voice cracking. "Don't, Addison. Just please don't call him, promise you won't. He already worries about me too much. Addison, please."

"But what if I can't find you?" I worriedly asked, my eyes beginning to water. I let out a small sniff. "Who am I suppose to call if can't call your Dad? Stiles, I can't make a promise like that."

"No, no, no, please." He practically begged, his voice breaking. "Just don't call him. C-Call Scott, instead. He'll know what to do, trust me. You guys have to come to find me. You can do it. He doesn't have to know, Addison, you guys' can find me." He sniffled. "Oh, I gotta call you back, I have to turn the phone off."

"What?" I breathed. "No, hey, wait..."

"I'm gonna call you back," Stiles had told me.

"Hold on, Stiles..." I started painting, I felt like I was gonna have a panic attack but he hangs up on me, my anxiety creeping up on me.

I had to get to Scott. I somewhat calmed myself down as I changed into a black tank top and some leggings with some Nike shoes, I kept my hair down, even though I never do and I don't care at this point. I grabbed a black coat as well, shrugging it on.

It's supposed to be pretty cold I heard.

I slipped out of the building without waking Allison or Uncle Chris.

I practically ran to Scott's. There was no bus's opened at this time and I was fit enough to run to Scott's.

Scatch that, by the time I got to Scott's I was out of breath, that was a half an hour waste of time. I should've grabbed the car or something.

I pound of the door like a mad man. "Scott!" I choked out, still pounding on the door. "Scott McCall wake your ass up now!" I screamed; I didn't care how loud I was.

The door was opened seconds later, a tired Scott looked at me in surprised and I pushed through. "Addison, what are you doing here?" Scott closes the door.

"Stiles is missing," I speak rather loudly, my voice cracking. "We have to find him, Scott. We have to find Stiles!"

"Addison, what are you talking about?" His eyes widen.

"He called me half an hour ago saying he had sleepwalked and it's dark and smells really bad. His leg is hurt, Scott, he says he can't move. We need to find him," I stressed the word out and Scott looked at me, before running up the stairs. "Where are you going?" I yelled; staying at the bottom of the stairs.

"Isaac!" I heard him yell and my eyes stay trained on the stairs. I forgot that Isaac lived here as well. "Isaac, get up! We need your help! Isaac!"

I walked up the stairs, using the rails to support me. Isaac had come out of his room and entered Scott's. "What's wrong?" Isaac had asked.

I stepped in beside him. "Its Stiles," I tell him and he lets out a scream.

"Jesus! Where did you come from?" He looked at me with wide eyes, Scott chucks me a red helmet. I caught it easily.

"Get dressed," I eye Isaac.

"What's wrong with Stiles?" Isaac questioned.

My own eyes widen slightly. Shit, I don't know whats wrong with Stiles. "I don't know," I mumbled.

After the two werewolves got ready, I met them downstairs nervously, pacing around. I dropped my the helmet in shock when Stiles had rung me again.

"Hey, Stiles," I tell him quickly.

"Did you call him?" Stiles whispered nervously. "Did you call my Dad?"

"No," I answered, knowing the two werewolves were listening. "Just Scott and Isaac. We're coming to find you. Can you figure out where you are? Try to find something and tell us where to look."

"I think..." Stiles shakily lets out. "I think I'm in some kind of basement."

"In a house?"

"No," Stiles whispered. "It looks bigger. Like industrial. I think there's a furnace but its cold. It's freezing down here. I gotta turn the... I gotta turn the phone off. Its going to die."

"Wait, wait, wait." I cut him off. "What else is there? What do you see?"

"My phone's dying," Stiles quickly said, his voice shaking. "I can't talk. I have to go." He whispered. "Please..."

"Stiles," I whispered. "Why are you whispering?"

He lets out a shaky breath. "Because I think someone's in here with me.

——

Scott, Isaac, and I entered Stiles' room where Lydia and Aiden stood, I looked at them in surprise. "How did you know?" I questioned her. "Did he call you too?"

"I heard it," Lydia tells us and my eyes widen. She heard it?

"Don't ask," Aiden jumped in. "It gets more confusing when you ask."

"Not as confusing as this," Lydia turned to the red strings that tied from Stiles' crime board to some scissors that stabbed inside his bed. Lydia looked at us. "He uses red for unsolved cases."

"Maybe he thinks he's part of an unsolved case?" Aiden suggested.

"Or is an unsolved case," Isaac looked over at Aiden.

"Hold on," Lydia looked at us. "Is he still out there? You don't know where he is?"

"He said he was in an industrial basement somewhere," I recalled.

"We came here to get a better scent," Isaac informed them.

"What else did he say?" Lydia asked nervously.

"Something's wrong with his leg." I made eye contact with her. "It's bleeding."

"And he's freezing," Isaac added.

"Tonight's the coldest night of the year," Aiden pointed out. "It's gonna drop into the 20s."

"What did his Dad say?" Lydia asks.

"We kind of..." I mumbled. "We didn't tell him yet."

"Stiles is bleeding and freezing and you didn't call his Dad?" Lydia raised her voice, glaring at me.

"He made me promise not to," I whispered.

"We can find him by scent," Scott quickly said. "If he was sleepwalking, he couldn't have gotten far, right?"

"You guys didn't notice his Jeep is gone, did you?" Aiden questions and I thought about it. Now that I think about it; I did notice his Jeep wasn't there but didn't think anything of it.

"You promised you wouldn't call his Dad," Lydia had gotten her phone out. "I didn't."

"Wait, Lydia, hold on," I begged. "I can get more help. I can call Derek, Allison..."

"Everyone expects for the cops," Lydia cuts me off. "Great idea."

"You guys remember she only gets these feelings when someone's about to die, right?" Aiden reminds us.

"You don't have to call his Dad," Scott shakes his head. "Its five minutes to the station."

As we were about to leave, I noticed Lydia stopped Aiden. "We'll catch up," Lydia tells us.

"What? Why?" We had paused from going out of the room.

"There's something here," Lydia informed us.

"Yeah, evidence of total insanity," Isaac comments and I nudged him.

"We can figure out what's wrong with him after we find a way to keep him from freezing to death," Scott comprised and I nodded. Sounds good to me.

"Go," Lydia tells us. "We'll be right behind you."
