Mirai POV
That was so embarrassing!
I was walking back to class with Tenma, Shinsuke, Aoi, and Midori-san. But all of sudden everyone stopped and I ran into their backs because I wasn't paying attention.
"Ow..."
When I look to see what they stopped for....
That's.... Tsurugi-san right?
Tenma suddenly went up to Tsurugi.
Aoi: "Tenma!"
Tenma: "I'm going to join the soccer club."
Tsurugi grinned.
Tsurugi: "Whatever you say."
Aoi: "Let's go, Tenma."
I followed behind Aoi.
Tenma: "Okay."
Tenma looked back at Tsurugi when he was walking away. Midori-san went up to Tenma and grabbed his shoulder.
Midori: "Don't worry about it."
Tenma: "O-Okay."
Then the bell started ringing.
"Ah!"
Aoi: "Oh no! Hurry up, everyone!"
Midori: "Hehe, that's right, hurry along."
Then as soon as the bell rang for school to end...
"Hm?"
I saw Tenma and Shinsuke smiled at each other and then they raced out the classroom.
EH?! NOT AGAIN!
I quickly packed my belongings and ran after them. When I caught up to them they were on the soccer field.
*pant pant*
Tenma: "Oh? Ah! Mirai! Are you trying out for the soccer club?!"
"Eh?! N-No! Is this what's happening?"
Shinsuke: "Yeah! We're gonna be soccer players!"
"That's good.... I mean! Tenma-san! Aki-nee said you were going to walk with me to school this morning! But you went and left without me!"
Tenma: "Eh? Ah! Sorry about that, Mirai...."
I pouted.
"You're not forgiven."
Tenma: "Eh?!"
Then a lot of people started coming.
Aoi: "Oh! Mirai-chan!"
"Aoi-san..."
Aoi: "Are you here join the soccer club too?"
I waved my hands in front of me.
"N-No! I was just telling Tenma-san something...."
Aoi: "I see. If want, do you want to watch the exam with us?"
"Us?"
Then a girl with chestnut hair, tied into two plaits came up from behind Aoi.
Akane: "Hello, my name is Akane Yamana. Nice to meet you..."
"Ah! My name is Mirai Kono, nice to meet you!"
Akane: "Hehe, you too Mirai-chan."
I sat down with Aoi and Akane and we watched as the exam started.
Kudou: "We'll begin the entrance exam starting now. Matsukaze Tenma."
Tenma: "Yes, sir!"
Kudou: "Nishizono Shinsuke."
Shinsuke: "Yes, sir!"
Kudou: "Kotegawa Sakio."
Kotegawa: "Yes, sir."
Kudou: "Oshii Tsuyoshi."
Oshii: "Yes, sir!"
Kudou: "Kannari Atsunori."
Kannari: "Yes, sir!"
Kudou: "All of you will be playing as if you were in a real game, and your actions will determine whether you pass or fail."
Everyone: "Yes, sir!"
Aoi: "You can do it, Tenma!"
Midori: "Go show 'em, Tenma!"
"Midori-san?"
Kudou: "The five of you will go up against our second and third-years. You can play whatever way you wish."
Tenma: "Let's do our best and pass together!"
Shinsuke: "Yeah!"
Still, only five people trying out? I thought there would be more...
The whistle blew. Kannari passed the ball to Kotegawa and he barely got it.
Kotegawa: "Where do you think you're aiming?"
Kannari: "It's your trapping that sucks!"
Kotegawa then passed it to Oshii but he didn't get it.
Oshii: "Hey, think about how much kick you're using!"
Kotegawa: "Hmph."
These three.... not only does their teamwork suck but their abilities aren't the best either...
Tenma: "Don't worry, it's only just started!"
"Tenma-san..."
Kurumada-senpai passed the ball to Shinsuke.
Kurumada: "Here."
Shinsuke: "Huh?"
Shinsuke missed the ball.
Hayami: "It was such an easy pass."
Tenma: "Shinsuke, relax yourself!"
Shinsuke: "O-Okay..."
Hayami: "Here!"
Hayami-senpai passed the ball to Tenma.
Tenma: "Here I go!"
Midori: "Go, Tenma!"
Tenma was able to pass Hamano-senpai!
Aoi: "He did it!"
Hamano: "Not bad, I guess."
Then Tenma stood in front of Shindou-senpai.
Tenma: "Captain Shindou!"
Shindou: "Are you serious when you say you'll pass?"
Tenma: "Yes! I want to join! I want to play soccer in Raimon!"
Shindou: "...There's no soccer here!"
Shindou harshly charged into Tenma.
"Tenma-san!"
Tenma got up and smiled at Shindou-senpai.
Tenma: "You're amazing, Captain! Guess I won't get past you that easily. But I won't give up!"
Shindou: "...Try it if you can."
Tenma: "Okay!"
I have a bad feeling about this...
My bad feeling came true. From then on, Shindou-senpai was easily passing everyone not allowing them to have the ball.
Kotegawa: "Tch! The captain's being serious!"
Oshii: "It's because that guy made him mad."
Kannari: "I'm not dealing with this."
Then when Shinsuke had the ball, Shindou-senpai quickly took it from him. Then lightly kicked it back to him.
Shinsuke: "Maybe it was impossible, thinking we could pass..."
Tenma: "It's not over yet, Shinsuke!"
Shinsuke: "Tenma! But..."
Tenma: "I won't give up! As long as I don't give up, it'll work out somehow! Here I go!"
Tenma started heading to the goal, he was able to quickly dodge Kurama-senpai and Minamisawa-senpai.
"Wow!"
But then Shindou-senpai easily stopped Tenma by kicked the ball from him. Tenma fell to the ground.
Tenma: "I'm not done yet!"
Shinsuke: "Tenma..."
Shindou-senpai kept taking the ball or stopping Tenma. But Tenma kept getting back up and trying. Then Shinsuke couldn't take it anymore and started joining him.
Tenma: "Shinsuke!"
Shinsuke: "I won't give up either!"
They both continued this till sunset.
Tenma... Shinsuke...
Tenma: "I won't ever.... give up!"
Tenma kicked the ball from Shindou.
Shindou: !
Shinsuke got it and kicked it up high. Then when Shindou-senpai when to jump and get it. Shinsuke jumped too and was about to get it.
Tenma: "All right!"
But Shindou-senpai reached it first and kicked it to the ground.
Midori: "So close!"
Shindou: "No matter how hard you work, there are just some things that won't come to you."
Tenma: "I'm not... I'm not done yet..."
Shindou: "You think that as long as you don't give up, your wishes will continue?"
Tenma: *pant pant* "Yes!"
Shindou: "...You don't know anything!"
Shindou-senpai kicked the ball straight at Tenma.

Different types of flowers started blooming around Tenma.
"...Pollen Fantasy!"
I stepped in front of Tenma and stopped the ball.
Everyone: !
When the ball landed, I stare straight at Shindou-senpai.
"...What do you think you're doing?"
Shindou: "Wha..."
3rd POV
The aura Mirai seemed to change.
Aoi: "M-Mirai-chan?"
Midori: "What's this eerie feeling?"
Mirai: ".... I know this is an important exam but.... I can't just sit here and watch you hurt your underclassmen."
Tenma: "M-Mirai... it's okay.... I'm fine... This time.... I'll get pass..."
Then Tenma started to fall.
Mirai: "Tenma!"
Mirai caught Tenma before he fell. She seemed to change back to her normal self.
Aoi and Shinsuke: "Tenma!"
Kudou: "That's enough. The exam is over."
After Tenma and Shinsuke had sometime to rest, Coach Kudou announced the results.
Kudou: "Those who've passed are... Matsukaze Tenma."
Tenma: "Eh?"
Kudou: "Nishizono Shinsuke."
Shinsuke: "Eh?"
Everyone looked surprised.
Kudou: "Those two. That's all."
Kotegawa: "No fair! Why are they the only ones?!"
Coach Kudou said nothing and the three of them got scared of him.
Kotegawa: "Tch. I thought I was a shoo-in."
Oshii: "Whatever, I didn't want to join anyway."
Kannari: "The Raimon soccer club is finished."
Kotegawa: "Why did those losers get to pass?"
Tsurugi: "In other words, that means..."
Mirai turned and saw the three in front of Tsurugi.
Mirai: *whisper* "Tsurugi?"
Tsurugi: "You guys are worse than losers."
Mirai: !
The three flinched and then walked away. While Shinsuke and Tenma pinched each other's cheeks.
Shinsuke and Tenma: "Ouch!"
Tenma: "That means..."
Shinsuke: "It's not a dream!"
Aoi: "Congratulations, Tenma, Shinsuke!"
Shinsuke and Tenma: "Yeah!"
Kudou: "And... you."
Mirai: "Eh?"
Coach Kudou turned to Mirai.
Mirai: ".... WHAAAA! I'm sorry!"
Mirai bowed deeply to Coach Kudou.
Mirai: "I interrupted the exam and I showed you all my mean side! I'm so sorry!"
Everyone: *sweatdrop*
Midori: "Mean side, huh? More like scary side."
Kudou: "Are you planning on joining the soccer club too?"
Everyone: "Eh?!"
Mirai blinked.
Mirai: "I'm sorry?"
Mirai waved her hands up and shook her head.
Mirai: "Ah! No no! I'm not! I was just watching! Yeah! Just cheering for Tenma and Shinsuke!"
Mirai clamped her mouth.
Tenma: "Mirai?"
Mirai turned red and then bowed again. She grabbed her bag and then started running away.
Mirai: "I'M SORRY!"
