3rd POV
Tenma: "Hello!"
???: "Ah... Tenma-san!"
Tenma: "Oh, you already know me?"
???: "Yes, Aki-nee already told me."
Tenma: "I see. Oh, this is my friend Shinsuke Nishizono by the way!"
???: "I see, it's nice to meet you um... Nishizono-san?"
Shinsuke: "Shinsuke is fine! Um..."
Mirai: "Ah right, my name is.... Mirai Kono. Shinsuke-san."
Aki: "Mirai-chan here, is from America."
Tenma: "America, huh?"
Tenma gave a teasing look to Aki, she blushed and looked away.
Mirai: "Sorry if I mess up a lot."
Shinsuke: "Not at all! You're Japanese is really good!"
Mirai: "Oh good...Right! Aki-nee let me help with the groceries-"
But before Mirai could finish her sentence she slipped and fell flat on her face.
Aki: "M-Mirai-chan are you okay?!"
Mirai looked up at us and her eyes were spinning.
Mirai: "Y-Yes.... I'm sorry."
Mirai held her nose that became red when she fell.
Mirai POV
"I'm sorry...."
Aki: "It's alright, Mirai-chan."
I had my head low. Tenma and Shinsuke had gone upstairs in Tenma's room. I stayed and tried to help Aki-nee.
Aki: "By the way Mirai-chan."
"Hm?"
Aki: "Why don't you call Tenma and Nishizono-kun without -san? You always do that, don't you?"
"Ah well...."
I look down.
"I shouldn't call them that till I can tell them the truth about me..."
Aki: "Mirai-chan..."
Aki-nee petted my head.
Aki: "Okay."
Then after we finished the cookies we went up to Tenma's room.
Aki: "You must be hungry. Go ahead!"
Shinsuke and Tenma: "Thanks for the food!"
Aki: "How was the induction ceremony? Were you nervous?"
Tenma: "I was! But a lot of awesome things happened this morning!"
Shinsuke: "Yeah, it was a real ruckus!"
They must be talking about the match they had.
I sweatdropped.
3rd POV (Back to after school time)
Shindou sighed at he walked home with Kirino.
Kirino: "You okay?"
Shindou: "Yeah, I'm fine."
Kirino: "I can't believe after all what's happened, those two still wanted to join the club."
Shindou: "Yeah well-"
But suddenly there was rustling.
Kirino: "What's that?"
Shindou: "It sounds like.... it's coming from-"
Shindou look up above him, where he was under a tree and then...
*Snap*
Shindou: "Wha-"
A girl fell from the tree Shindou was under and caught her in his arms.
Kirino: "S-Shindou!"
Shindou: "T-That was close..."
Shindou looked up at the girl. The girl had her hair tied up in two pig-tails tied with pink ribbons. She opened her eyes and looked up to meet Shindou's eyes.
Shindou: "A-Are you alright?"
???: "....Are you the one who caught me?"
Shindou: "Um yes... what were you doing up there?"
???: "Well..."
Cat: "Meow!"
Kirino and Shindou: "Huh?"
The girl revealed her arms and Shindou and Kirino saw a cat laying on the girl's stomach.
Kirino: "A cat?"
Shindou put the girl down, then the girl let the cat down on the ground.
Cat: "Meow!"
The cat rubbed it's head into the girl's hand and then started running away.
Shindou: "You were saving that cat?"
The girl turned back to Shindou and Kirino then nodded.
???: "It was stuck in that tree. I couldn't leave it up there."
Shindou and Kirino smiled.
Kirino: "I see..."
Shindou: "Be careful next time though."
The girl bowed and then started leaving.
Kirino: "What a strange girl."
Shindou: ! "Kirino."
Kirino: "Huh? What is it?"
Shindou: "That girl... she's wearing Raimon's uniform."
Kirino: "Eh?"
Kirino looked back at the girl and saw that she was. The girl then turned the corner.
Kirino: "I've never seen her before. Is she a first-year?"
Shindou: "I'm not sure."
Shirabe POV
I ran for a while and then stopped.
"This should be far enough."
I look back at where I came from.
"I never expected to run into Shindou and Kirino."
I looked away then left. I opened the door to my house with the key.
"I'm back...."
I was met with silence.
Of course it'd be quiet no one's here. Dad's probably still working... like he always is.
I go to the fridge and open it. I found some leftover dinner and ate some.
Mom: Welcome back, Shirabe!
I turned around. No one was there.
"...It was just my imagination."
*Next Day*
Mirai POV
I was getting ready for school.
Oh~ I hope I don't mess up! What if I trip on my way there? What if I trip at the gate?! What if-
Aki: "Mirai-chan!"
"Huh?! Oh... Aki-nee."
Aki: "I'm sorry!"
"What?"
Aki: "Tenma already left! He said he was going to practice early and then go to school.... He already left."
"....What? What?! WHAT?!"
*Later*
After I took my seat in class I was mentally crying inside.
Tenma-san why?!
I was in Tenma's class but that didn't make me happy. Then when the bell rang....
Why isn't Tenma here yet and I thought Shinsuke was in this class too?
*mumble* "Don't tell me..."
Then I heard the door open. Tenma and Shinsuke entered the classroom and bowed at the teacher.
They're late...
Tenma passed my desk and gave me an apologetic look. I just glared at him.
Teacher: "Mankind has currently found over 100 chemical elements, each with their name, atomic number, and symbol."
I heard some sounds and then I turned my head in front of me to see Tenma kicking his legs back and forth.
Tenma!
Shinsuke saw too and was trying to call out to him while not getting trouble but it didn't work.
Teacher: "In the back of your textbooks, you should find a table which is called the periodic table."
I noticed a girl next to him was also trying to whisper to him.
This is bad...
I opened my textbook. Listening to the teacher's instructions.
Teacher: "It has elements with similar properties grouped together according to their group numbers."
The teacher went up to Tenma.
Crap.
Teacher: *cough*
Tenma: "Eh!"
*Lunch Time*
3rd POV
Tenma and Shinsuke were kicking the ball to each other while Aoi was watching them.
Aoi: "They sure are in high spirits."
Midori: "Today's the entrance exam, isn't it?"
Aoi: "Seto-senpai!"
Midori: "You can call me Midori."
Aoi: "Okay, Midori-san."
Midori: "Nice, isn't he?"
Aoi: "Do you mean Tenma?"
Midori: "Yeah. He doesn't look reliable on the outside, but he's got somethin' fierce right here."
Midori pointed to her chest.
Midori: "Yeah, it's nice."
Shinsuke: "Let's pass that entrance exam!"
Tenma: "Yeah! We'll pass it!"
Tenma accidentally kicked the ball high.
Aoi: "It's too high!"
Shinsuke: "We're gonna be soccer players!"
Tenma: "He reached it!"
Shinsuke: "Ugh!"
Shinsuke reached the ball but it only bounced off his stomach. Then he fell to the ground.
Tenma: "Shinsuke!"
Shinsuke: "I-I'm okay!"
Midori: "He shows promise too."
Shinsuke: "Let's keep going, Tenma!"
Tenma: "Yeah, let's do our best."
Shinsuke: "Oh! Isn't that...?"
Tenma and Shinsuke turned to see Mirai was near the field.
Tenma: "Ah, Mirai!"
But she didn't seem to hear Tenma.
Shinsuke: "Doesn't look like she heard you..."
Tenma: "Hm... huh?"
All of a sudden, Mirai stretch out her arms to the side.
Shinsuke: "Mirai?"
Everyone: !
All of a sudden it look liked Mirai was shining.
Aoi: "W-Wings?!"
While Mirai looked like she was shining, angel wings appeared behind her back.
Shinsuke: "A-Am I seeing things?"
Tenma rubbed his eyes. Then Mirai seemed to stop shining and the angel wings disappeared with it.
Tenma: "What just..."
Mirai turned around and saw everyone.
Mirai: "Oh! Tenma-san, Shinsuke-san!"
She smiled then started walking towards us.
Shinsuke: "M-Mirai-san."
Mirai: "Hm?"
Shinsuke: "N-Nothing, um do you play soccer?"
Mirai: "Soccer? Well..."
Tenma: "Y-Yeah."
Tenma picked up the soccer ball and kicked it to her.
Tenma: "T-Try it, wha- I kicked it too high again!"
But that didn't seem to bother Mirai. She jumped high and caught the ball.
Everyone: !
But then when she was going to land...
Mirai: "...Wha!"
She cover her skirt quickly. While Midori and Aoi covered Tenma's and Shinsuke's eyes.
Tenma and Shinsuke: "Huh?"
Mirai: "Ow!"
Mirai fell down on butt and groaned.
Tenma: "What? Ah! Mirai are you okay?"
Mirai had tears in her eyes. Then she looked at Aoi and Midori.
Mirai: "No one saw.... right?"
The two shook their heads.
Midori: "Don't worry, you completely covered it."
Aoi: "You covered it so well, that I think we didn't need to cover Shinsuke's and Tenma's eyes..."
Mirai blushed brightly.
Shirabe: "....That girl..."
