Chapter 12:
Saving Noah

Imogen burst into his room as he finished changing. The tension in his body dropped as she hugged him and he lowered his head to inhale her scent. "You're okay." They both said to each other causing them to smile slightly.
"We have an advantage over Theo now. He thinks he killed you." Imogen muttered, while they had been sort of dead, they could both see what was going on with their friends. They had seen Stiles heading to the hospital with his dad who was hurt. They had also seen Lydia by the nemeton with Theo reviving the dead chimeras. What had shocked them was the marks on the back of Lydia's neck. They didn't get a chance to see anything else as they were both revived.
"We should head to the hospital." He said, pulling back from her with a wince. His mother had left after making sure he was really okay. He had awoken in the library to her crying over his body and had no choice but to tell her what he and Imogen had done after she dropped Mason off at his house. While she had been mad, she seemed more relieved that he was okay.
She lifted his shirt, "You're still hurt." She whispered having felt an ache in her stomach. She noticed that it wasn't healing at all and frowned. "Is this because the pack is broken up?"
He pulled down his shirt. "Yeah, which means we need to bring them back together." It also meant that they had to come clean to everyone. It was not a conversation that either of them looked forward to.
Before they could head to the hospital, they were stopped by Parrish who had a catatonic Lydia with him.

Stiles was angry and stressed over his father being hospitalized. He waited rather impatiently as they took his dad into surgery. When the doctor and Melissa finally came to see him, he was relieved when they told him that his dad was going to be okay. Not even a couple of hours later his father was suddenly worse again.
He couldn't help taking out his frustration on the doctor. He caught sight of Scott and Imogen lingering by the room his father was in. Anger flared up inside him and he charged towards the true alpha. He shoved him to the ground and started hitting him.
"Where were you? You trusted him. You believed him. Right, huh?" He hissed at Scott, "So, where were you?"
"Hey, hey, hey..." They were pulled apart.
He huffed, pulling away from the doctor and nurse who were holding him back, "Okay, all right, all right."
"Your dad's not the only one who got hurt." Scott said, finally speaking.
Stiles noticed the spot of blood on his white shirt and scoffed, "Oh, you'll heal."
"I'm not talking about me."
Imogen glanced at the doctors and back at Stiles, "It's Lydia, Stiles." She finally told him, causing his heart to drop.
He grit his teeth as he glanced at his father in the ICU and pulled the couple with him after assuring the others that they were fine. "What the hell happened to Lydia?" He demanded harshly. First his father was attacked and now his girlfriend was hurt.
She shared a look with Scott, both looking guilty, "Theo attacked her. It seems he wanted to know where the nemeton was and checked her memories. She catatonic."
"Can't you do something?" He asked her as they waited for the elevator.
She pursed her lips, "I wish I could but, this isn't magic. This is Lydia's mind and if I try a spell to fix her, I could possibly break her mind. I know she's in there and I'm pretty sure that the only one who can wake her up is herself." She said and looked at her boyfriend. "I think you two should talk."
Stiles glared at his supposed best friend. If he hadn't trusted Theo in the first place then none of this would have happened. "I have nothing to say to him."
"I can help your dad, Stiles." She said suddenly, "I might not be able to help Lydia but I'm sure I can help your dad."
He clenched his fists, he wanted his dad to get better. He nodded, "Okay." He said softly as the elevator doors opened.
Imogen watched them get in and gave Stiles an apologetic look, "I really am sorry, Stiles."
He furrowed his brows at her apology. He opened his mouth to question her but the doors closed and he was now alone with Scott. He sighed, "So, where the hell were you?"
Scott shifted on his feet, looking uncomfortable. "I was dead."
He nodded and suddenly turned to him wide eyed. "What?" Scott then began to tell him about how Imogen had gone through some of Theo's memories and found about him being a chimera. Stiles was baffled that Scott and Imogen had kept this huge secret to themselves but what shocked him was the fact that they knew about Donovan. He didn't get to ask anything as they were found by Parrish who told them which room Lydia was in.
Stiles would need to ask his best friend more questions and would need to talk about Donovan but right now, he needed to see his girlfriend.

Imogen nodded at Melissa who agreed to keep a lookout in case someone came which she didn't think was necessary considering she had supernatural hearing. She inhaled sharply before walking to the ICU and approached the sheriff who was alarmingly pale.
She noticed they had taken off the watch she told Allison to give him and used a spell to get a run through of his wounds. She had done the same with Lydia but with her, she had no other wounds aside from the claw marks on the back of her neck and her broken nails. She had used a spell to slowly heal the marks and heal her broken nails.
Her eyes flickered to the black veins that appeared on the sheriffs neck, her hand hovered over it as she used a spell to give her a clearer picture of the off feeling she got. She pursed her lips, suddenly realizing that this wasn't Theo who hurt him. She sensed the poison in his bloodstream that was coming from his chest.
Thankfully she had read through her family's grimoire and memorized the healing spells they used. She glanced over at Melissa who seemed to be nervously pacing before turning her attention back to the sheriff. She removed his oxygen mask while muttering a spell that would help him breath and feel pain free as she got to work on removing the foreign object from his body.
She grabbed some gloves and continued whispering spells under her breath, focusing on saving the sheriff from dying. The warning Lydia left was ominous but now that she knew what needed to be done, she could save him.
She wasn't too sure how much time passed as she finally managed to get a grasp on the piece of bone and cut a small incision in order to get it out. Exhaling in relief that she got it, she did another spell to heal the incision.
He was no longer pale and was breathing on his own. She stepped back and made sure to get rid of the evidence. She whispered a soothing spell before leaving the room. She almost bumped into Melissa who was startled. "Is he...?"
She smiled, "He's fine. He just needs to rest." She checked her phone. "Did Scott leave?" She was sure she heard him speaking to her but she had been too preoccupied trying to save Noah, that she wasn't paying attention.
Melissa nodded, looking relieved that Noah was okay. "Yeah, he and Stiles wanted to confront Theo. He texted me a while ago that they went looking for another chimera since they were sure it wasn't Theo."
"It wasn't. While I'm sure he hurt him, he wasn't the one to stick this inside him." She held up the small piece of bone.

Imogen laid her head on Scott's chest as they laid on his bed together. Apparently while she had been saving the sheriff, Scott, Stiles, Malia, and Isaac had gone looking for the chimera they were sure had hurt the sheriff. Even though they found the chimera, they wound up losing him as they had been trying to fight off the dread doctors. Scott mentioned that Chris showed up in time to help them.
Earlier, she got a message from Allison who told her that Lydia was admitted into Eichen House by her own mother. As much as she wanted to do something about her friend, at the moment they still needed to figure out how to get the pack back together.
