I was dragged.

Literally dragged.

Dragged by Darren.

Of course, who else but that monsterous devil.

Got mad at me for dying Patricia's hair green, perhaps?

I was being dragged but of course I can see where we're going--

Wait, outside??

He dragged me outside the hotel, and towards the shoreline of the sea.

There are less people compared to the mornings because the sun had already set.

The sky is a fusion of dark gray and violet, the bright moon shimmering like a bright diamond in the sky.

Just reminded me of a song of Rihanna, shine like a bright diamond....

Okay, that's not the point, I'm getting lost in my train of thoughts again. ^_^

The moon's reflection is painted on the sea and the sound of the waves crashing down is truly peaceful.

But why did he take me here?

He gripped my wrist harder making me flinch.

"Darren... you're gripping my wrist too tight.." I muttered softly.

"Oh. I'm sorry." He says, looking away and letting go of my wrist.

Was he blushing?

I really can't tell, since it's too dark for me to see his face.

And then the strangest thing happened--

He laughed.

He laughed so hard.

It's creepy.

"A-Are you okay...?" I asked, trying to calm him down as he was clutching his stomach while stomping on the sand.

"You're hilarious!" He cried out.

"I... am?" I said, pointing at myself in confusion.

"Patricia... Hair...." He chortled.

I laughed at his smiling face.

I couldn't believe what I'm seeing.

Darren is laughing at Patricia.

I joined in the laughter as I remembered the look on Patricia's face.

"Green.... You're right! It's just too funny to be ignored." I added.

"You're hilarious, Reed." He said, finally calming down.

Both of us fell on our butts on the white sand.

"Hmmm, yeah." I whispered under my breath.

"I don't wanna go home." Darren softly said, but loud enough for me to hear.

His quick remark made me turn to look at him as his face spoke of so much sadness.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

It took a while for him to answer and he just merely stared at the moon, the sea, towards the front direction.

"Look at the view. It's just amazing. I wouldn't grow tired of just merely staring at it." He replied.

His eyes glistened, the way the moon shone that night.

There was something about him that I really liked at that moment...

I just couldn't pinpoint what.

"Yeah.." I said in agreement.

I took a deep breath as well, sitting side by side on the sand with Darren.

As crazy as it sounds, I didn't feel anything else unusual.

It's just me and him staring at the magnificent view before us.

"You know what else?" He suddenly chirped.

"Hmm?" I responded, my eyes glued to the moon.

"This is my lifelong dream. To watch the moon with someone special."

I jolted as I felt my cheeks tint pink.

Everything was silent and I guess he noticed this.

And so he laughed.

This time--

I wasn't really happy of him laughing.

The fact that the following sentence made my heart ache a bit.

"You sure think of a lot of things, do you? What I meant is-- you are special to me as a friend. You are special since you are my best friend's girlfriend." Darren implied, saying something like this as if it's nothing.

I'm special because I'm your best friend's girlfriend?

How come that hurts so much?

His laughing died as I stood up from the sand.

"Is something wrong?" He asked, as if he doesn't know anything at all.

"Nothing. I just realized it's kind of late so we should be getting back to the hotel now." I replied nonchalantly.

His eyes suddenly changed a shade darker.

There was an emotion I couldn't explain.

I'm not so sure if that's even an emotion.

It was blank.

As if someone just hit him on the head with a hammer and he forgot everything.

"Y-You alright?" I asked, strangely.

He didn't speak.

He is back to the old, icy Darren.

Just a moment ago I was laughing with him but now.... It's as if I don't know him at all.

He just sat on the sand, no emotions crossed his face and stared at the view.

It's as if I wasn't there.

Just before I could say something else, I heard footsteps coming towards us.

"Thank God." Carson huffed.

I turned to face Carson's direction and saw Patricia's hair back to normal.

My eyes widened in shock and Carson just laughed.

"Sorry, we're late. I decided to help Patricia get rid off the green color of her hair once we noticed it's just a temporary spray coloring. It's a good thing we came to the beach. I just knew my best friend Darren would come to such a peaceful and dark place like this." Carson chuckled.

I nodded my head, not able to speak, eyeing on Patricia evilly.

"Don't get jealous, okay? Carson just helped me fix the mess you made. Besides, I only have eyes for Darren." Patricia scoffed.

"Right." I scowled.

Carson came to snake his arm around my waist and said tenderly,

"Baby, I think it's time both of you have a truce."

"What?" I hissed.

"Even Patricia agreed to it." Carson reassured.

"Are you sure?" I scowled.

"Yes." Patricia said, finishing for me.

Well, technically...

The girl really didn't do anything bad to me so...

"Fine." I sighed in defeat.

"Yay!! You know, we could be best of friends and tomorrow.. I've been planning a shopping spree for the both of us! A spa massage afterwards and maybe off to Jamba Juice." Patricia squealed.

"Wait! Hold your horses! I agreed on a truce but I never implied that I'll be your best friend or make over buddy!" I replied bluntly.

"Baby..." Carson cooed.

I sighed in defeat.

"Fine. Do whatever you want." I growled.

"Yay!! I absolutely can't wait for tomorrow!" Patricia cheered.

"What's with this girl?" I muttered to myself.

Apparently, Carson heard me.

"You see, she doesn't have many friends. She actually wanted to be friends with you but somehow you kept pushing her away. But her attitude is technically like that so bare with it." Carson whispered.

"Oh my gosh, I didn't know.. Now I feel guilty for judging her."

"First impressions.. Everyone has it in them." Carson chuckled.

I really felt guilty though.

"So... Dinner?" Carson reminded everyone.

"Oh heck yeah, I'm starving." Patricia said, touching her flat belly.

"Well then, let's go!" I chirped.

And Darren is more of like this:

"....."

So Carson has his arms around me while Patricia has hers on Darren.

We went to this grill place near the beach that's getting all the rave reviews.

As we entered, two girls dressed in bikini and a grass skirt came near us with trays of this so-called "Le Speciale".

And the strange part is... It is black in color.

As in, pure black, which is weird.

A welcoming drink is supposed to be appetizing but really? Why black of all colors? I would even appreciate a gray drink more if ever there is one.

Patricia, Carson and Darren took their black drinks and I just stared at them and to the hula girl.

"I'm sorry.. I'll pass." I said, as I hear my stomach just growl, not because of hunger but because of rejection. My stomach rejects the black liquid in front of it.

"I'm sorry, babe. But it's the grill's rules to drink our Le Speciale, which is 5 star rated, haven't I mentioned, before coming in the restaurant." A guy, blonde hair, sideburns, in his mid forties, wearing a shirt with green and yellow flowers printed on them and also, a grassy skirt says, suddenly appearing out of nowhere.

"That's just insane." I said truthfully.

"Aw, come on Alexis! It's really good." Patricia says, her lips turning black because of the liquid.

You should have seen her.

You wouldn't think twice of not having the Le Speciale.

"You have got to be kidding me!" I groaned.

"Miss, it is strictly the restaurant's rules!" The guy said again.

"Who are you anyway? And aren't you a guy? Why are you wearing a grassy skirt? I just don't get you, people!" I growled, eyeing on him from head to toe.

"Um, Alexis..." I felt Carson tap my shoulder gently.

"I'm the manager." The guy hissed.

"Oops... I'm so sorry... You just don't look like it." I said again, quite frankly.

"Out!" The manager said, his face turning red.

The hula girls pushed us four outside.

We were just kicked out from a restaurant.

"Thanks a lot, Reed." Patricia scoffed.

"What?! I'm being honest here." I replied back.

"You're too honest! Now we're kicked out of the most awesome restaurant in this whole beach! I've been dying to try it here but now I shouldn't show my face because when I step on their so-called territory, I might get into jail." Patricia sighed.

"Would you quit whining?" Darren said all too suddenly the three of us faced him.

Well, ever since his eyes became blank again, I never heard him speak another word.

Really, does this guy have a double personality I should know about?

Or what if he is a ninja?

What the hell, Alexis, he is not a ninja.

He must be having issues or something normal like that.

"Well, I guess we should just go back to the hotel? I bought snacks from the convenience store. We could at least have that and maybe play a game." Carson suggested.

I groaned. Patricia clapped. Darren is nonchalant, as always.

"Then shall we play truth or dare?" Patricia suggested.

I groaned once more.

I hated that game.

Once, when I was in middle school, they asked me who my crush is and I ended up doing the dare instead but guess what? The dare is related to doing something horribly embarrassing to my crush.

How nice.

"That's a good idea! Darren's the shy type. He should open up more." Carson says.

Well, I have no choice.

The four of us went back to the hotel and into Carson's and my room.

The three of us sat on a circle while Carson gets the chips and the cold beverages.

He sits beside me and drinks a bottle of cola.

After he finishes it, he lays it on the center of the floor.

"You first." Carson tells Patricia.

"Okie dokie!"

As Patricia spins, it landed on Carson.

"Truth or dare?" Patricia asks.

"Truth."

"My question is... What is your deepest and darkest secret?" Patricia asks, her eyes glistening in anticipation.

Oh yeah, now that I mentioned it, I never really knew his deepest and darkest secret.

He told me about it before but he never told me.

"Oooohhh.... That's one heck of a question." Carson says, scratching the back of his head.

"You switching on a dare?" Patricia said, batting her fake eyelashes.

"Maybe I am, actually." Carson wimpily answered.

It's so obvious the question got to him.

"Okay then, since this is the first dare, I'm going to make it easy.." Patricia purred.

And then her eyes landed on Darren.

"Kiss Darren on the lips."

Oh god, this is going to be hilarious.

"Easy peasy." Carson said, inching towards Darren.

"Woah woah, dude, I didn't agree to this." Darren complained.

"Oh don't be such a party pooper, Darren! It's just a game!! Oh and reminding, it should not be just a normal kiss on the lips! I mean French kissing." Patricia said, laughing.

"Relax, honey!" Carson said, cupping Darren's cheeks and mimicking an overly flirtatious couple.

Darren's eyes flickered in horror.

And then that did it.

The kiss seemed so real I would almost think both of them are gay.

"Oh my god. Look at them go!" Patricia said, laughing her heart out.

I can't help but to laugh too.

It was definitely intense.

And it's boy x boy.

"They should really be a couple." I added, in between my laughing fits.

It was fifteen seconds, I think?

As Carson pulled away, Darren was wiping his lip.

"How was it?" Patricia joked.

"It's as if a dog just licked the insides of my mouth." Darren answered nonchalantly.

"Hey, that is so mean! I didn't enjoy it too, ya know!" Carson pouts.

I just laughed as Carson took hold of the bottle in front of him.

"My turn!"

And there it was.

"Look at the bottle go!" Patricia cheered, as she gulped down the bottle of Pepsi from the snacks tray.

I took a bite of my potato chip as I watched the bottle land on Patricia.

Whew.

"So what will it be?" Carson devilishly asked.

"Truth." Patricia said calmly.

"How old are you?" Carson asks making both Darren and I flinch and look at him.

"WHAT?!? You're supposed to ask her juicy details!" I groaned.

"Well, I don't freaking know how old she is." Carson reasoned out.

"You could actually ask that later when we're finished with the game." Darren added.

"Hohoho, so that's it? Okay then. Miss Patricia is currently thirteen and going fourteen in exactly three days." Patricia squealed in delight.

"WHAT?!" Both Carson and I said.

This freaking girl is thirteen?

Look at her face! And her body! And her speech! And the way she dresses!!!

Tsk. I glared at Darren who is seemingly speechless.

Tsk, damn you, pedophile.

"I get that all the time. Knowing I actually look more seductive than Alexis, who is infact, four years older." Patricia chuckled.

"Hey!" I said, blushing furiously.

"Now now, let's move on to the next one." Patricia says, spinning the bottle.

And then it landed on Darren.

"Truth or dare?" Patricia cooed, hugging his arm.

Well, this thirteen year old should really be taught by her mother.

As crazy as it is, she is more mature than I am! *pouts*

"Knowing Darren, he'll pick dare." Carson winked.

"Right on." Darren says, a small smile creeping on his lips.

"Hmm, okay then, Carson, don't get mad, but I really wanted to try this." Patricia says, diverting her gaze at me.

What? Me?

"What do you mean?" Carson asked, his face suddenly fell.

"I want Darren to kiss Alexis for ten seconds! It is his choice if he is going to make it just a normal kiss or something else deeper." Patricia squealed.

"WHAT?!" The three of us shouted.

"That's insane. You can't do that. They're in a relationship." Darren says, he is quite mad and that kind of irritated me.

Am I that unattractive for him not to want to kiss me?

It's not that I want him to kiss me but come on!

It's my freaking pride on the line here!

"I don't like this either." I scowled, glaring at Darren.

"Aw, come on! What's the point of this freaking game then?!" Patricia said, practically throwing a tantrum.

"She's right!! It's stupid if I don't trust my girlfriend and my best friend!" Carson suddenly said, making me twitch.

"What?!? Are you crazy?!" I exclaimed.

"Silly! It's just a kiss with no emotion! Like what Darren and I did. I'm not gay." Carson says, a tinge of nervousness can be heard from his voice.

"But--"

"Yeah Alexis! Come on!" Patricia interrupted.

"Okay then."

All of us were startled by Darren's affirmative tone as he went towards me.

I just stared at him.

His eyes were the blank ones icy Darren has.

And then he lifted my chin.

I felt my heart race...

My palms were sweating...

Even if you say it's a kiss with no sentimental value, being a kiss also means it is something emotional!!

No, just deal with it.

Ten seconds.

His lips crashed into mine.

All nervousness washed over me.

Basically, he was just pressing his lips against mine so I'm okay.

I heard Patricia counting.

"10..

9...

8....

7...

6....

*bites*

I let out a gasp.

He just bit my lip!

Is he freaking crazy!!?

That kind of hurts..

"5...

4...

3..

2......

1.."

He pulled away in an instant.

"Alexis is blushing!!!" Patricia suddenly shouted.

"Wha??" I said, covering my face.

"She is?" Carson frowned, turning to me.

"I'm just kidding, don't be so over protective, Carson!" Patricia says, slapping Carson's back playfully.

She was kidding?

Oh god, how obvious can I be?!

I looked at Darren and he was....

Emotionless.

Blank.

Nonchalant.

You name it.

There was a silence in the room for like five seconds when Patricia shouted just to break the awkwardness filling in the room.

"Alright! Spin the freaking bottle, Darren!!!" She cheered, opening another bottle of Pepsi.

"How many did you just drink?" I asked her.

"5 bottles?"

"Are you crazy or do you want diabetes? You're just freaking thirteen, you know!" Carson scolded.

"I'm no kid, okay?" Patricia scowled, glaring at Carson.

Well, Carson is kind of protective when it comes to kids...

Or pre teens like Patricia.

"Whatever. I'm spinning." Darren says, rolling his eyes and spinning the bottle.

*Spin Spin Spin*

No shit.

Not me...

"Truth or Dare?" Darren asks me.

"Truth." I say.

Heck, I don't want to do dares.

Well, it's not like Darren's going to ask me to do something bad, right?

No wait, he is mean!

No... He isn't..

He is plain evil!!!!

"When is the last time you cheated on Carson?"

What the hell?

Was that question?

"I never..."

I was supposedly going to say...

'I never cheated on him'.

But then I remembered the times Darren threatened to flirt with me and I let my guard down.

At that moment, I felt bad, dirty, and just unfaithful.

"What are you asking, Darren? Alexis never cheated on me! She is a really faithful and nice girlfriend." Carson interrupted.

"I'm not asking you." Darren says, just plainly staring at me.

What is this?

This tension?!

I'm actually terrified.

"I never cheated on him...." I said, kind of softly.

I wasn't sure if you call it cheating.

But it isn't, right?

I mean-- we're not in a relationship or anything...

What I mean is.. Darren and I..

"See?" Carson said with pride.

I gulped down the awfully large lump in my throat.

Is this guilt??

But I shouldn't be guilty of anything, right?

He just happened to flirt with me and that's all.

It's not like we have romantic feelings for each other.

Right?

How come I feel so uneasy!?

"Well then, that's that." I hear Patricia say.

"No, it isn't. She's lying." Darren suddenly interrupted.

"What?" I asked, raising the tone of my voice.

"Truth or Dare? You answered a lie. Therefore I demand a refund." Darren chuckled.

"This is insane! How can you say my girlfriend cheated on me?!" Carson glared.

"You were gone, right? I was on watch. I get to know what she does while you're gone." Darren suddenly answered.

That was quite a painful tug on my heartstrings.

Is he playing with me?

What is he trying to pull?

"What the hell are you saying?!" I cried out.

"ENOUGH!" Patricia shouted.

All of us shut up as we saw the thirteen year old's face go red.

"What do you want to do then?" Patricia asks, turning to Darren.

I can see that she is pissed.

"Alexis has to do a dare." Darren answered.

"What?!" I shouted.

"Then do it, Reed. So we can get this over with and move on to the next person! Come on!" Patricia shouted at me.

"But--"

She glared at me.

And it was scary.

The way a rebellious teenager looks at when her parents reprimand her.

"Okay..."

Carson managed to kept silent and then he asked again though,

"What's the dare?"

"Fifteen minutes." Darren answered, his gaze never left me.

"What?" I asked.

Then he smirked.

"Oh I get it. This is the 'ol classic dare in this game. "15 minutes, may or may not something happen with two people. So where do you want it, Christopher?" Patricia scoffed.

"In there." Darren smirked, pointing a cabinet in the end of the room.

"What is going on?" Carson asks.

Ah, a typical worrying boyfriend.

He's perfect, isn't he?

But really, I have the same question as his.

What is going on??

"So Darren and Alexis go in that cabinet for fifteen minutes. We lock them both. Neither Carson and I should interfere." Patricia explains.

"WHAT?!" Carson and I shouted.

"Relax! If there aren't any romantic feelings or lust in the air, then nothing will eventually happen. They might just talk or play a game while they're inside." Patricia says.

"That's true. I just want to talk to you." Darren smirked, glancing back at me.

I felt chills run down my spine as he spoke.

"This is absurd." I said, shaking my head.

"What? Don't you have romantic feelings for Darren?" Patricia asks.

"What? Of course not!" I replied.

"Then there shouldn't be a problem." Patricia chuckled.

"Don't I have a say in this?" Carson said, an upside down curve drawn on his handsome face.

"You trust me, don't you?" Darren tells him.

"You know I do, bro. But..."

"You trust me too, right?" I asked all too suddenly.

Why did I ask that?

All three of them turned to look at me.

"I mean.. I want to get this over with."

"You know I trust you, Alexis." Carson sweetly smiled.

"Then off inside the cabinet, you go!" Patricia said, pushing Darren and I to the direction of the cabinet.

It looks so soundproof....

It scares me.

Darren smirks at me, opens the cabinet door and signals me to go in.

"Ladies first."

I scoffed at him as I entered obediently.

Nothing is going to happen.

He entered inside with me.

I saw Carson's sad face flashing through my mind as the cabinet closes.

Fifteen minutes.

What could possibly go wrong?

I hear soft chuckles from Darren making me uneasy.

"Fifteen minutes of torture." He whispers.

Oh no.

Death in fifteen minutes should be the title of the next chapter.
