Naya's pov
English class was over and adriel sat there looking at me throughout the whole class
I pretended not to see him, how would l even react to that?
"Its lunch time" l whispered
"Why are you whispering?" He asked
"The last time I spoke to an alphas son a girl threatened to beat me up"
"That won't happen" he said
He got up and I followed him everyone started packing up there things to go
We were the first ones out of the room
I showed him the cafeteria and where we should get food
"What do you want to eat he asked"
"Idk maybe pizza but I'll leave that for another time I'm running low"
"Two slices of pizza please, a sandwich and two blueberry juice" he told the cafeteria lady before paying her
"You didn't need to do that, I'll pay you back" l whispered
He collected our food and smiled "there's no need" he gave me mines
"I will" he walked over to one of the seats at the front, kids were starting to enter the cafeteria
"I'll go around back, l can't sit there" I told him
"Why not?" He looked genuinely confused
"Lower rankings sit at the back" I told him turning to walk away but he grabbed my wrist
"It's okay, sit down"
"I can't" I panicked
"Just relax, sit beside me"
I sat down slowly
"Eat" he told me I was nervous I knew the other future alpha's wouldn't like me sitting at the front I took a small bite out of one of my pizzas
"Well well well" darnell a future alpha said coming up to our table with two more guys behind him
If I wasn't nervous then I was surely shaking now
"What are you doing here" he asked me I looked over at adriel he was calmly eating his sandwich he even seemed relaxed?
"I-l" l got up and adriel held on to my wrist sitting me back down
He opened his blue berry juice and drank
He looked over at adriel and laughed "oh so the new kid thinks he's all that"
Adriel ignored him still eating
He took up adriels drink and drew it all over me "take your filthy omega and go to the back where you belong"
Everyone was now watching
I was shaking uncontrollably
that seemed to get his attention he got up slowly looking at me his face emotionless he turned to face darnell if looks could kill darnell would've been dead and buried by now
"You're gonna pay for her clothes and for my juice" he said
"Oh and who's gonna make me" he grabbed adriels shirt
"Me" he punched darnell in his stomach and darnell fell to his knees groaning
The other guys came running towards adriel
He looked up at them as if daring them to take another step and they froze he kicked Darnell who was still on his knees, he fell to the floor face down clutching his stomach slowly adriel walked over to him and bend down searching his pocket and took out his wallet
"Let's go" he said to me with a neutral face
We went back up to the cafeteria order his juice after he threw darnells wallet back at him
Everyone was just looking as he dragged me out of the cafeteria
