A spectacle. A fascinating specimen trapped behind thick glass. The lights are always on, temperature regulated and too low. A scared young dragon, taken and trapped, cries. Cries for his family, for help.
Once he proves a real danger, they blind him.
His cries only grow louder.
Their medicine puts more power behind the Young Dragon's voice. It shakes the facility. They make the walls and glass of his enclosure thicker.
When the crying doesn't stop They beat him, cutting his horn and plucking at loose scales. The facility becomes a place of torture. All the other patients hurt him too, pushing him around and beating him into the dirt. He can't see and can't fight back well.
Eventually he stops crying. He stops moving without being moved. He sits in his cell and stares blindly into an invisible void.
The silence is deafening.
