It was now 6 months later and things seemed to have died down. There were no more frequent paparazzi outside Lena's house, they weren't on the front page everyday and the whole thing over her name seemed to just be accepted. Some people called her Kara, some people called her supergirl.
The couple had started going out in public together more often. Of course Kara would not wear anything close to resembling her Kara Danvers look. It would be much more relaxed and casual, except for a few date nights where she wore something fancy.
They had also been visiting Micheal and taking him places as often as they could. Mostly together but sometimes at different times if they were free. Both of them had experienced something similar to Micheal so visiting him was like a way of making up for all the time they lost with their parents and giving it somewhat to Micheal. Even if they weren't his actual parents.
However, soon that would hopefully change. They talked about it a lot, like A LOT, and decided they wanted to adopt Micheal.
Kara thought about it so much at work that she was surprised she got any work done. She had been sat in her office all day working on an article bored out of her mind. She looked out the window and groaned, why was today going so slow?
She looked over at one of the drawers in her desk. She pulled it open then cautiously took something out. It was a small black jewelry box.
She flicked it open to look at what she already knew was in there.
A small ring sparked in the sunlight. The band was a simple rose gold but the diamonds on top was unique. It was the traditional diamond shape but had the symbol for the house of el carved out in the jewel. Bordering the main diamond were tiny little diamonds that perfectly finished off the ring.
" There'll be time for you yet."

Lena had been non stop all week. The mix of trying to make sure L-corps new release was ready on time, trying to keep the board off her back, making sure investors are happy and also filling out Michael's adoptio. papers was really taking its toll. She collapsed front first on to the couch in her office and pressed her face into the arm rest. She groaned loudly into the cushion before turning on her side and getting comfy.
She was on the verge of falling into a deep sleep when suddenly a certain blonde came charging in.
"Leennaa." She groaned collapsing in the middle the floor and spreading out her limbs. " I'm BOORREEEDDD." She loudly exclaimed.
Lena rubbed her face in her hands and rolled her eyes. " Hello to you too." she let go of her face but still rested her head on the arms rest. "What do you want me to do?"
The super flopped her head to the side and looked straight at her girlfriend. "I don't know. Let's go do something."
" Like what?"
"Uhhh." She propped herself up on her elbows. " How about food?"
" Not hungry."
" Walk?"
" Too tired."
Suddenly, the blonde bum shuffled over to her girlfriends side. She rested her arms on the couch then placed her chin on them. She was mere centimetres from Lenas face. "We can go to that little gazebo on the cliff where we had our first date and watch the sunset."
" Kara-."
" Lennaaa. Please." She pleases with her desperate puppy dog eyes.
The raven dug her face deeper into the couch before taking a deep breath and turning back towards the blonde. " Fiinnnee." She groaned.
"Yay." Kara squeeled excitedly pecking the CEO on the lips then jumping up. Where something nice. "Ok I'll pick you up at 7." Kara stated walking towards the door.
" What do you mean you'll pick me up at 7? You live with me."
" JUST TRUST ME!" Kara shouted as she walked out the door.
The Luthor rolled over on to her back, she watched as the door to her office slowly shut. " That girls going to be the death of me."

It was just past 6:00 when Lena finally got through the front door of her house. When she went upstairs to have a shower she passed a box on her bed. There was a note on top that she cautiously picked up. It read:
'Dear my beautiful Lena
I hope you had a good day and I'm sorry if I irritated you earlier. Here is a little something I got for you to wear. It highlights your beauty and will make you seem out of this world. You might find it a bit wierd but you are the only one I trust to share this much of my planet with. I know you'll look beautiful.
Love Kara. Xxx
P.s Alex is coming to pick you up at 7.'
She slowly took the lid off the box to reveal a white silk dress. It had long sleeves that were transparent and gold rims. A white collar was surrounded by white straps that pointed towards the finishing touch. This was a traditionally shaped Kryptonian crest but instead of the Iconic 'S' it was the two lined L that made the L-corp symbol.
Once she had laid it out on the bed she couldn't help but smile. She brought her clamped hands to her face and swayed from side to side. It was so elegant and reagal looking. She wanted to put it on right away but needed to take a shower and do her hair again.

40 minutes had passed since Lena had gotten home and she was already panicking. She only had 20 minutes until she was being picked up and she still had to do her hair, put the dress on and find some shoes to wear.
After much struggle she finally finished her hair. It was wavy and lush looking with a braid wrapped around her head.
She carefully slipped the dress on and put on her heels. She turned around to admire it in the mirror and she couldn't help but smile. It was beautiful. It fit well in all the right places and hung loosely towards the bottom of her legs.
She admired it it for a bit longer before hearing the doorbell echo through the house. She quickly tidied up her desk before making her way down stairs to the front door. When she opened it she was greeted by the tall red hairs woman.
" Alex." Lena said lovingly pulling her into a hug. When they pulled away Alex smiled at the Luthor.
" Come on. Kara's waiting."
Their drive was quite quiet. When Lena tried to ask a question Alex would only answer with. " You'll see."
As the vehicle made it's way up towards one of the cliffs Lena gazed out at the view. The sun was beginning to set and the light shone on the water. It looks so peaceful.
They finally came to a stop on a small gravel road. Lena could just about see the wooden gazebo that Kara had mentioned. She looked back across to Alex.
" Aren't we going to get closer?" Lena asked.
" I'm under strict orders from my nagging sister to not go within 50 metres." Alex replied a bit confused herself.
" What in God's name is that girl up to?" Lena said to herself.
" All will become clear soon. Now go. Go to Kara." Alex ordered starting to swat Lena out her car.
Lena quickly followed the demands and exited the vehicle. As soon as the door shut, the car dissapered into the distance. The Luthor stood there startled for a couple seconds.
The short walk there was enough to make even Lena get nervous. Butterflies in her stomach got stronger and stronger with each passing step. Finally, she was only a few metres away from the small wooden structure.
She looked up to see Kara stood there facing the ocean. She also wore all white but instead of a dress she wore separate trousers and shirt. Her hair blew in the gentle breeze and her body stood so still it was like she was a statue.
The blonde slowly turned around. She had a bunch of roses in hand and a look of overwhelming love on her face. " Lena." She spoke softly. " You look stunning." She took some steps forward to get closer to Lena.
Lena blushed slightly, she rubbed her left arm up and down the back of her right. She analysed Kara's outfit from the front with great interest. Instead of being buttoned down from her neck to her hips it was instead pinned towards her right shoulder. At the top was a small collar with a little bit out at the front making a v shape. In the middle of the chest was a small House of El coat of arms. It didn't have any of the flashy primary colours but instead was carved into the clothing.
Lena took a deep breath as she admired Kara before snapping back to reality. " And you look as amazing as ever."
" Oh, these are for you." Kara said handing the flowers over a bit more aggressively then probably intended.
Lena giggled at Kara's nervousness. She hadn't seen it at this scale since they first met. " Thank you. They're beautiful." Lena inhaled the beautiful smell of the roses before being lead over to the fairy light covered gazebo.
She placed the flowers into the vase that was just to the side of the table. Before she could pull back her chair, Kara pulled it back for her and helped her tuck it in. Where the blonde finally took her seat Lena smiled knowing that she was up to something.
" I have to say Babe, this dress is beautiful. The L-corp logo is a bit much but apart from that it's absolutely gorgeous."
" I'm sorry if the symbol is making you uncomfortable but its the closest thing I could find to a family coat of arms." Kara said giving an apologetic look towards her girlfriend.
" Family coat of arms? Kara have you to dragged me into some wierd voodoo Kryptonian thing?" Lena asked pulling her hands of the table.
" No no. Trust me it's nothing like that." Kara chuckled. " It's just, you see, back on my home planet everybody had their own symbol that they wore pretty much all hours of the day. This would symbolise which house they belonged to. Some were feared, some were loved and some were hated by even those who wore it."
" Kara, honey, where are you going with this?" Lena interrupted.
" Just wait. Anyway, of course there were some people who would be born into one house but would change to another later in life. This would happen when a member of one family would present a member of another family with their family's crest. If they took the crest they would then have a ceremony to induct them officially into that family. It would show love and commitment to one another, they would become bound for life. Nothing could ever break that bond." Kara was holding Lena's hand in her own gently gripping them.
" That sounds beautiful." Lena said.
" I thought about it and I realised you have quite similar traditions on Earth but instead of presenting a crest and an induction ceremony, you have proposals and weddings. It is a custom I guess on this planet to propose with a ring to show your everlasting love, which is sort of similar to the kryptonian tradition."
" Kara where are you going with this?" Lena's eyes slowly began to widen. Kara got up from her seat and outstretched a hand. The Raven graciously took it and was taken over towards the cliff side. The blonde held both of Lena's hand in her own and stared lovingly into her eyes.
" One day I realised I could combine them both so here goes." Kara took a deep breath nervous before sliding her right foot backwards and dropping on to one knee. She pulled out the small black box to reveal the kryptonian carved diamond ring.
Lena's eyes began to water and her hand snapped it's way up to her mouth in shock. She somehow knew it was coming but still couldn't believe it was real. She looked down at Kara who was currently doing her cute smile with her big soft eyes. She could see the tears start to well up in Kara's eyes as well but were quickly wiped away.
" I have loved you Lena since the moment I woke up in your bed with you clinging onto me and I've been in love with you ever since you decided to let me kiss you for the first time. You are the light that guides me home, the source of my happiness and the reason this world is such a wonderful place. You're Kind, Confident, Caring and so so beautiful. I've seen you grow in the past year more then I could ever even comprehend and you've help me not only grow as a person but also as a hero. You're so gentle and sweet with Micheal, it makes my heart jump every time I see you two together. I know our future with him is going to be amazing and wonderful and the most rewarding thing in our lives but the only thing I could think of that could make that better is if I could call you my wife. So all I have to say is, Lena Kieran Luthor will you marry me?"
" Yes. " She sobbed nodding vigorously. " Of course I'll marry you."
Kara stood up and slipped the ring onto Lena's trembling finger. They kissed passionatly then embraced into a tight hug where they both cried.
" I'm right here and I'm not going anywhere." Kara whispered resting her forehead against Lena's.
" Promise?" She whispered back.
" I will always be you soulmate and I will always protect you, I promise."
