"Ah! You just missed her! The ritual is over! She left with my men to an island!"
Salazaar exclaimed.
Leon and I had run into this large room, with a ritual table and a giant ugly chandelier hanging on the ceiling...
Salazaar was there too, with the man from before with the black and red cloak.
"What?"
I questioned with wide eyes!
"I think it's time I pay my respects..."
He climbed the stairs of the little ritual area.
"Towards your repressive and stubborn will."
He turned to face us.
The ugly chandelier from before started morphing into some terrifying vine monster.
The vines wrapped around Salazaar as he grinned wickedly at us,
"Mr Kennedy, Ortega... Welcome."
The vines grabbed him and the cloaked man and Salazaar laughed maniacally as he and his "friend" were lifted and taken into the safety of the plants.
"Ew."
I said as we watched the planet swallow them both.
Its mouth closed but then it jerked forward and Leon and I took a defensive step back.
Then its mouth burst open and a huge vine monster came out!
It slammed its head against the wall and rocks fell on Leon and I as the monster looked down on us with big eyes.
It showed us its many many teeth as our exit was blocked by some spikes!
Then right in the centre of the wine monster, where all the vines were connected, was another figure.
It let out a roar and I could see its human figure...
Salazaar!
"Monsters... guess after this there'll be one less to worry about."
Leon said as he took out his gun,
I looked over at him realising it was a rocket launcher!
"Where the hell-"
He grinned at me,
"Ask the merchant."
And with that he shot right at the monster Salazaar who let out a blood curdling scream!
"Well then..."
I said as we both watched Salazaar and the vine monster crumble.
"Let's find Ashley."
Leon said, leading the way letting me follow.
We both ended up at a tunnel under the castle, a boat was there with someone in it.
Leon loaded his gun and I followed as we approached.
Only to find Ada.
Leon lowered his gun,
I didn't.
"Need a ride, handsome?"
Ada teased and I shot right at the seat she was sitting on.
My bullet hit right behind her head.
A warning shot.
"Call him that again and I'll shoot out your eyes."
Ada gave me a wicked grin as Leon and I climbed in.
The whole ride was silent as I sat in the back with Leon and Ada in the front.
Ada smirked at Leon as she made a hard turn!
I got knocked off the boat from the speed and hauled myself back in with Leon's help as I realised she had stopped at the steep cliff side.
I spat out some water and tried to wring the water out of my shirt.
Ada grinned at me, knowing exactly what she did and pulled out her grappling hook.
"Where are you going?"
Leon asked as Ada stepped onto her seat,
"Got some business to take care of."
She sent me a judging look then looked at Leon with a cat-like smile.
"See you around."
And with that she zipped to the top of the cliff.
Her pushing off the boat gave it momentum to spin away from the rocks,
And crash right into the others!
I growled as my wet hair clung to my face.
"Woman..."
Leon sighed and I sent him a look,
"I think you just mean Ada."
I said, my pout very evident on my face.
Leon and I had to get back into the water and swim to a small rock cave.
Hopefully it leads to the surface.
Leon's walkie talkie buzzed and so did my earpiece.
Sadlaars face appeared on Leon's screen as I peered over his shoulder.
"I hate to break it to you but Salazaar is dead."
Leon said in a harsh tone.
"Yes it seems that way."
"Sadlaar, why don't you give up and let Ashley go home?"
I asked, annoyed.
"Perhaps you are disillusioned with overconfidence. Just because you killed my small-time subordinate?"
"Sadlaar, you're small time."
Leon commented.
Sadlaar laughed.
"Right in my cage to torment my friends."
The call ended.
"Well isn't he just a bundle of joy."
I sassed as Leon pocketed his walkie talkie.
"Yeah... come on."
We both followed the cave,
Going through tunnel after tunnel and fighting monster and hooded figures alike we made it to some kind of control room.
"Leon! Over here."
I called pointing at a screen,
"Ashley."
Leon said.
"LEON!"
She yelled, that's when we saw a figure approach her from behind.
"(Y/N) HELP ME!"
Ashley cried as she realised there was a man behind her.
He grabbed her by the shoulder and threw her onto the floor.
She looked up at him in horror.
Then the man looked up directly at the security camera,
He yelled something at who I supposed was his partner and one by one the cameras started going out!
"No no no- dammit!"
I yelled as the last screen went dark.
"Don't worry, we'll get her back."
Following the map we had found on a flash drive, we managed to find the hallway where Ashley's cell was!
"(Y/N)! Leon!"
Ashley called, seeming relieved.
"Hang on, we'll get you out of there."
I told her with a smile.
"Urg we need a key card."
I glanced at Leon,
"I'll stay with Ashley, make sure no one comes back."
I loaded my shotgun and Leon nodded.
He stepped forward and pressed a kiss to my lips, all too soon he pulled away.
"Be safe."
He looked at Ashley,
"Both of you."
I smiled at him,
"Same to you."
He gave me a sault as he jogged down the hallway then out of sight.
"You are so lucky."
Ashley said with a wistful sigh.
I chuckled,
"Oh I know."
Leon POV

I found a radio room!
Thinking ahead, I wondered if I could call Hunnigan seeing as my walkie talkie was hacked.
I pressed a few buttons and started up the machine,
"This is Leon. Request back up, I repeat- request back up!"
I waited...
Then the line went flat.
"Dammit!"
I pulled away from the control panel.
Looking around the room I found the key card and headed back to the Ashley and (Y/N)
(Y/N) POV

I heard someone approach and raised my gun,
Only to see Leon, he grinned and waved the key card.
"Hey."
I sighed in relief with a smile.
"Hi."
He grinned as he checked the key card into the door,
I pushed it open and we both walked in, Ashley had sat in the corner of the room.
I had told her we shouldn't talk much as we didn't want anyone to hear and she had agreed.
"(Y/N)! Leon!"
Ashley stood and rushed towards us,
I gave her a side hug and she wrapped both her arms around me.
"You alright?"
She nodded as we pulled away.
"Come on, let's get out of here."
Leon smiled at the two of us.
We rushed around and finally came to a part where we thought we could escape the compound.
Or at least that's what the map said,
Although the map failed to tell us that it was a sewer...
Ew.
Ashley held her nose.
"Erg! It stinks!"
She cried as I gagged a little.
"Sure does."
He grinned at me, I remember when we fought that big freaking alligator in the sewer.
This was nothing.
"No way you two!"
"Way."
Leon said,
I grinned at Ashley and grabbed her hand as I jumped with her and Leon just behind us!
Leon and I scrambled to our feet as we hit the bottom and ashley slowly sat up,
"Are you out of your minds!?"
She exclaimed looking rather pissed.
"I knew you'd be fine if you landed on your butt."
I said with a shrug.
Ashley scoffed.
I offered her a hand to stand up and she took it,
She leant her other hand on something squishy and slimy.
"Erg! what is this?"
She groaned as I pulled her to her feet.
"Come on. Let's go."
Leon said,

all three of us ran through the sewer praying for a way out...
Alas things are never that easy.
We stopped in a room full of pips and Sadlaar at the front.
"I can feel them growing ever so strongly inside you."
He lifted a hand and jerked it towards himself.
(Y/N) moved forward a step and looked down at their feet in horror.
They looked back at me with that same expression.
"Sadlaar!"
I charged him so he would let go of
(Y/N) but all he did was raise his other hand and suddenly i couldn't breathe.
There was an overwhelming pain in my chest! Like something was clawing at my insides!
I crumbled to my knees clutching my chest in pain as Sadlaar laughed and advanced towards us.
"Perhaps you can resist... but you can not disobey."
He turned the hand he had on me to Ashley, but my pain didn't stop.
"Come to me Ashley."
He said,
"NO!"
(Y/N) exclaimed and lifted a foot to move,
Sadlaar using the hand he had on (Y/N) stopped them from moving and formed a fist!
They tried to scream but couldn't, I managed to look up at them to see them furiously biting their tongue, holding back the scream through tears as they stood dead still.
Then... Ashley started walking towards Sadlaar and I could see the red in her eyes!
I tried to grab onto her but the pain wouldn't let me!
"Ashley!"
I yelled as I reached into my pocket and threw a tracker onto the back of her shirt...
The pain started going away but Sadlaar and Ashley had already left as I popped a tablet into my mouth and stood up on shaky legs.
I looked over at (Y/N) they hadn't moved, tears still in their eyes and still they were biting their tongue.
I quickly rushed over to them,
"(Y/N)! Let go- it's alright."
They forced their head to look at me but I could see how hard their jaw was clenched.
It was like they were stuck.
Then in one swift movement, whatever hold on them Sadlaar had broke and they took a deep gasp of air as they almost fell,
I grabbed them and held them up as they took in some deep breaths.
I could see blood in their teeth as they wiped at their eyes.
"That was..."
"What did he do to you?"
I asked worriedly and they looked at me, with horror all over their face.
"I dont- I dont know. I just suddenly couldn't move or speak... and then there was this pain..."
I handed them a tablet and they swallowed it immediately.
"...Leon we can't save Ashley like this..."
They said, holding my hands in theirs as some blood dribbled out of their mouth.
"We have to try..."
I said, looking at the place where Sadlaar and Ashley had left.
"We just have to keep going."
