Angel
I smiled as I heard a knock. Alam kong si Justin ito kasi pupunta kami sa Movie house ngayon. I grabbed my phone, wallet and my keys and headed to towards my door. I opened it and I saw Justin looking so cute with his white shirt with ' LOOK OUT ' written on it. He just matched it with a brown shorts and a sneakers.
Usapan kasi namin casual lang that's why I'm also just wearing a black high-waist skinny jeans and a plain grey crop top with three-quarter length sleeve and matched it with white sneakers at naka pony tail lang din ako.
He hugged me as I finally locked my door to my unit. I hugged him back. Ang bango nito.
Justin: " Let's go? " He asked nang kumawala na siya sa pagkaka yakap sakin.
I just nodded and smiled at him. Nagulat ako when he grabbed my hand as we were walking at the hallway heading to the elevator. Nilingon ko ito and he just smiled at me.
Me: " Ground floor? " Nag tatakang tanong ko sa kanya nang makapasok na kami ng elevator because I saw him pressed the "G" button at nasa basement ang parking lot namin.
Justin: " Mag ga-grab tayo. I don't want your attention on the road gusto ko sa akin lang. " He winked.
I just nodded at him as a signed that I agreed to what he said. Lagi kasi kaming nag tatalo pag nagdadala ako ng sasakyan. Gusto lagi nyang siya ang mag da-drive dahil siya daw ang lalaki. But he just learned how to drive just a couple of months ago. And I don't wanna die at the age of 21 kaya kami laging nagtatalo. Wala kasi ang mga sasakyan ng mga ito sa condo namin but I'm not sure kung sino kina Ken at Josh ang may dalang sasakyan sa kanila kasi may service naman silang van provided by their company na humahatid sundo sa kanila so useless lang din.
Naka baba na kami ng condo building at naghihintay sa pina booked nitong Grab Car. Pupunta daw kami sa Han's Movie House. TBH I really don't understand why there's a need for us to go there eh may TV at netflix naman ako sa unit ko.
Justin: " Tara na the car is here .. " Sabi niya sabay kuha sa kamay ko.
Napapadalas yata ang pagiging touchy nito saakin. But then again, touchy din ito sa mga ka grupo nito so I don't really mind.
Pina-una ako nitong sumakay at sumunod naman ito. Nang makasakay na kaming dalawa, kinuha nito ang isang kamay ko and he slowly placed it on his mouth and kissed it. Napatingin ako sa ginawa niya but he just gave me a smile.
Naguguluhan ako sa mga inaakto nito ngayon but I don't wanna assume and overthink and put label on anything at least as of now. I just wanna enjoy every moment that we're together.
Justin: " When you were a kid, what did you think your life would look right now?" Out of nowhere niyang tanong probably to ease the tension.
Me: " I've always been amazed with technology ever since. And I know what you're thinking and you can call me nerd all you want but I really love how these stuff works. I was a software engineering student before in Columbia University I guess I already told you that before? " Tanong ko at nakangiting tumango naman ito. " Then I transferred here in Ateneo and became a Computer Engineer. "
Justin: " You must be very smart kasi diba Ivy League school ang Columbia University? Both of your parents are Surgeons that are based in the States and you grew up there. Bakit ka nag transfer? " Curious niyang tanong.
Napatigil ako sa tanong nito. Should I tell him?
Me: " Eh di tayo nagka kilala? " I was smiling while saying that at nakita kong ngumiti rin ito.
Justin: " Sige na.. Bakit nga?" Pangungulit parin niya.
Me: " Mahal kasi tuition dun... " Sabi ko nalang para manahimik na ito.
Justin: " I'm not buying it " Naka pout niyang sabi. Ang cute talaga ng Mais na to kaya kinurot ko ito sa ilong " Araay! Masakit yun ha! " Reklamo nito. " But Seriously, bakit nga? Both your parents are Surgeons so mayaman rin kayo sa States or lets just say Middle Class, so there should be a reason why you transferred. " Pangungulit parin niya.
Na kyu-kyutan ako sa pagiging makulit nito but not this time. Gusto ko itong sakalin ngayon.
Me: " Ang tuition kaya dun eh 7M na dito sa Pinas! Just for 1 semester! And imagine ang laki ng matitipid ng parents ko kung dito lang ako nag college. " Exaggerated na sabi ko para maniwala ito because I'm not sure if I'm ready to tell him yet. Ma-iintindihan kaya niya? Or he will just judge me just like everyone else?
Justin: " I feel like you don't trust me " Malungkot niyang sabi habang naka puppy face.
I deeply sighed. Ang kulit talaga.
Me: " My heart was broken 3 years ago. " Nilingon ko siya and he was staring at me intently. " But I'm OK now. " I smiled at him " Ang tagal na kaya nun. "
Justin: " What happened? ' Seryosong tanong niya. Nahimigan ko ang concern sa boses nito.
Nag pagkawala muna ako ng malalim na buntong hininga bago ko siya sinagot.
Me: " I was in a relationship with my best friend at that time. I was still in second grade when my family decided to moved to the States. Morgan was my first friend, my first love, first boyfriend first everything. " Sabi ko habang naka-tanaw sa labas ng bintana ng sasakyan. " His mom is a Filipina so he's half. One of the reasons siguro kaya nagkasundo agad kami. We were happy. Well I thought we were. Everything changed when we went to College. He got accepted at Yale and I got accepted at Columbia. We were in two different States because Columbia University is in New York and Yale is in Connecticut. Then he fell in love with someone else. But you know what's funny? After everything, I still begged him to get back together. Akala ko kasi trial lang sa relationship namin yun. " Mahina akong tumawa at nilingon ito pero seryoso parin itong nakatingin sakin.
Justin: " Why? " Tanong niya habang nakatitig ng deretcho sa mga mata ko.
Me: " Ganyan naman talaga diba? In love you need to fight. " I shrugged " I also believed that it was worth trying because naging masaya naman din kasi kami noon. Well I thought we were. " I glanced at him and smiled. " So yeah.. yun. We tried to make it work again pero wala eh. Mahal niya daw talaga.. So wala na rin akong nagawa. " Casual na sabi ko at nginitian ito. " I was so pressured with University life plus him so I got very depressed to the point na hindi na ako nakakatulog sa depression so I partied a lot. I was taking sleeping pills prescribed by my therapist para lang maka tulog ako. Umabot parin sa point na hindi na ako natatablan so nag double dosage ako. I ended up at the hospital. " Naramdaman kong humigpit ang paghawak niya sa kamay ko. So I gave him a reassuring smile. " Ayaw maniwala ng parents ko na I didn't have any intention to end my life and it was just a careless decision so they sent me here. " I shrugged.
May sasabihin pa sana ito pero narinig namin ang driver na sinabing nasa location na daw kami. Bumaba na kami sa sasakyan at naglakad na patungog entrance ng movie house nang marinig kong may sinabi ito.
Justin: " I will never do that to you " Seryosong sabi niya sabay hawak sa kamay ko.
Naka kunot noong tiningnan ko lang siya because I didn't know what he was talking about.
Justin: " I promise I will never do that to you " Pag-uulit nito. He glanced at me at nginitian ako.
Me: " What do you mean? " I asked. I still didn't know what he meant by it but he changed the topic.
Justin: " Oh anong movie panonoorin natin? " Naka smile na ito ngayon nang makarating kami sa front desk ng Movie House.
Me: " Are you sure you want me to choose what Movie we will watch? "Naka-taas kilay na tanong ko sa kanya.
He just nodded while showing me his gummy smile.
Me: " Kahit hindi powers2x? " Nagdududang tanong ko.
Justin: " Yes Po! " He excitedly answered. Still giving me his gummy smile.
Me: " Alright then. Let's watch something na wala sa netflix. hmmm.. lemme think " Sabi ko while checking the movies sa Monitor screen na nasa counter ng movie house . " Oh here! I've always wanted to watch this movie! " Excited kong sabi.
I chose the movie of Angelina Jolie and Antonio Banderas titled " The Original Sin. " I heard lots of good feedback about it.
Nakita ko ang panlalaki ng mga mata ni Justin when I told the cashier what movie I chose.
Me: " Is there any problem? " I asked nang nilingon ko siya.
Justin: " Ahmm.. wala.. Sure ka na ba s-sa m-movie na yan? " Parang na-uutal niyang tanong.
Me: " Yes! why? Is there something wrong with it? " Nagtatakang tanong ko because he seemed acting kinda weird? " You said I can choose whatever movie I want " Sabi ko " But... If napanood mo na..I think I can still cancel it? " Sabi ko sabay tingin kay kuya na nasa counter.
Guy: " Yes ma'am you can still cancel it." He answered politely at nginitian kami.
Justin: " No kuya.. Ok na yan.. " Sabi agad niya. " And What do you wanna eat? " Baling nito sakin.
Me: " I want Popcorn and??? hmmm... " Sabi ko while naka tingin sa menu.
Justin: " I want pineapple with Pizza " .
Naka kunot noong napatingin ako sa kanya sa sinabi nito. Nag jo-joke ba ito?
Justin: " Ay mali! Pizza with Pineapple pala! " Sabay tago sa likuran ko. " Kakahiya kay kuyaaa.. "
Me: " Hahhahahaahah.. You meant Hawaiian Pizza? " Hinarap ko siya pero nagtago ulit ito sa likuran ko. Nakita kong ngumisi si Kuya cashier.
Justin: " Oo Hawaiian! Ikaw na bahala sa drinks ayoko ng humarap kay kuya! " Sabay kuha sa Credit card at ID nito at inabot sakin.
Me: " You know I can steal your CC number right? and purchase whatever I want to purchase online?" Biro ko sa kanya.
Justin: " Kung gusto mong e hack credit card ko eh matagal na sana " Sabi nitong nasa likuran ko parin.
Totoo yun. Kung gusto ko lang e hack kahit social media accounts nito ma ha-hack ko.
Nagbayad na kami at naglakad na papunta sa room kung san kami manonood. The room is cozy. Malaki ang sofa nito at makikita mo agad ang napakalaking screen. This is great! With AC and Dolby speakers? Perfect! No wonder patok parin ang mga movies ngayon kahit may netflix na.
Umupo na kami sa sofa at nag umpisa na ang palabas. Mga ilang minuto din ang nakalipas bago dumating ang order namin. Kumain kami at tahimik lang na nanonood.
Pagkatapos nitong kumain , naramdaman kong kinuha nito ang kamay ko and held it again then he leaned his head on my shoulders.
Tahimik lang kaming nanonood when suddenly I was horrified when there was an intense love scene by Angelina Jolie and Antonio Banderas! I didn't know what to react! Shoud I cover my eyes? NO! Why would I do that? That's freaking childish! Di ko napigilan ang sarili kong lingonin si Justin. Nakapikit ang mga mata nito ngayon. Natutulog ba ito? But parang mamasa masa ang mukha nito? Is he sweating? But the AC is on full blast for god's sake!
Ibinalik ko ang mga mata sa screen. Finally natapos din ang scene na yun! Napapikit ako at lihim akong natawa sa naisip ko. Kinuha ko ang unan na nasa tabi ko at hinampas iyon sa kay Justin.
Me: " Gago ka Justin De Dios! Alam mong may ganitong scene yung movie nato no? "
Natatawang bumangon ito . I knew it! He was awake! Nag pre-pretend lang itong natutulog!
Justin: " Kaya tinanong kita diba? " Nagpipigil ito ng tawa ngayon
Me: " You should've told me! Baka iniisip mo napanood ko na to and I chose this movie on purpose! " I yelled.
Justin: " Oyy defensive! " Nanunukso ang mga ngiti niya ngayon na naging dahilan ng pag-irap ko sa kanya.
Me: " Eh bat ka pinagpawisan? " Naka crossed arms na tanong ko.
Justin: " Mainit kaya! " Giit pa nito pero inirapan ko lang siya.
Umayos ako ng upo at niyakap nalang ang throw pillow na nasa tabi ko.
Me: " That was.. awkward " Tulalang sabi ko sa sarili.
Justin: " Yeah... It was.. " He almost whispered.
Nagtinginan kaming dalawa at natawa nalang sa nangyari. Tumabi ulit siya saakin at niyakap ako.
Justin: " Pag hug na nga lang.. " He said and kissed my forehead.

Original sin is one of my favorite movies. ( As if it's anyone's business what my fav movie is but I'm just saying alright! 😔)
Anyway, Bonus nalang ang love scene ni Angelina Jolie and Yummy Antonio Banderas. lol
