Chapter: 7
Allison Hall
After my weird encounter with Cameron, I headed into the cafeteria to get my lunch. It looked like we were having a choice at the salad bar today. I think that I will just have that instead of whatever we were having in the line. I promise you that it looked gross, whatever it was. After I got my food and a bottle of water, I paid for my meal. I found Justin and Kaitlyn already at the lunch table. Where is Julie at?
"Where's Julie??" I asked them.
Justin and Kait just pointed to the last table on other side of the room. She was sitting with Cameron. I knew that she would do that eventually today. That girl is something else! I shook my head.
"Oh, she's over there with Cameron." I said.
"Cameron?" Justin gave me a questioning look while Kait was grinning at me. Justin almost seemed jealous. Why would he be jealous?
"Well.. I accidentally ran smack dab into his this morning when I was heading to my locker." I admitted to my two friends.
"Really?" Kaitlyn squealed. "Girl he's hot. Did you feel his abs? What happened? I want to know the details, like NOW!!!' Kaitlyn kept rambling on and on!
I sighed and said, "Umm. Well, He just helped me up that's all, and I told him I was sorry."
That was not what she wanted to hear at all. What more was there to say though? The rest of lunch was boring. Julie stayed over there flirting with Cameron, and he defiantly was not stopping her either. All the rest of my classes went by slow. I just want to start on the project and get it done with. I did not see Julie or Cameron anymore after lunch. Good thing I have no classes with him.
Finally, it was the end of school. I was so glad that the day was finally over! I went to my locker to get my English stuff so I could work on that project with Justin. Guess who was there? Cameron. Him and Julie were beside my locker flirting. Sometimes she can be such a hoe. Do not tell her I said that! I tried to go unnoticed until Julie talked to me.
"Hey Alli!." She smiled up at me.
"Hey." I smiled lightly then added, "I have to get to Justin's truck. I cannot stay and talk. Sorry." I rush off. I know that she was probably mad at me for dissing her. I know that I will defiantly hear about it tomorrow, but I just hate being around here when she is all over guys like that.
I saw Adam and Justin talking by Justin's truck. I wonder what their talking about? I walked over to where they were standing.
"Hey guys!" I said.
"Alli, I haven't seen you around much. Where have you been?" Adam asked.
Adam Phillips is about the same height as Justin. He was more muscled than Justin though. Adam has curly short hair that is a light brown color. He has these deep brown eyes to.
"Just going to classes and looking at which colleges to apply to. What about you?" I replied.
"You know, kicking butt in Football that's all. HAHA." He laughed. I just laughed along with him.
Justin looked at me, "Are you ready?"
"Yeah, if you are. You're the one driving." I teased.
"Get in Shorty." He said to me and then looked at Adam. "Cya around man!"
I opened his truck door and was about to shut the door, but I heard Adam talking to me again.
"It was nice getting to see you Alli."
"You too." I called back.
Justin had already started the truck when I got in. "What was that about?" I asked.
"He was telling me he's dating Bree." He shrugged as if it was no big deal.
"Hmm. Good luck to him." After I finished laughing I asked, "Was he mad at you?"
"What about?" He asked. Crap! Did I say that?
"Oh.. Um... Well.." I started.
"Shorty, Spit it out." He just glared at me.
"I overheard you talking to your Coach. Why didn't you tell me? We always talk about things." I was slightly offended that he did not come to me and tell me before he made his decision.
"I don't know. Just not into football anymore. Do not tell my dad. Okay" He begged.
"Yeah I Promise I won't. You were so good at football. You have a good throwing arm." I was just telling him the truth.
"I don't want to go pro; my dad shoves it down my throat every day when I come home. Just wait. I haven't even started college yet, so why start talking pro now?" He sighed.
"You know you're going to have to tell him, right?" I stated.
"Yeah, not today though." I just sighed. When he finds out, he will be mad! I know his dad!
We got to his house. When I walked inside his mom, Mrs. Caroline met me.
"Hey Sweetie, I haven't seen you around in a while." She said while, grabbing me into a big hug.
"Hey, Mrs. Caroline. I know been busy!' I admitted. She finally let me go after Justin told her that she was currently suffocating me.
"Sorry honey! What are you two up to?" Mrs. Caroline asked us.
"We have an English project Mom." Justin told her.
"Alright, you kids have fun!" She said while walking back into the kitchen.
Justin and I went up to his room and started writing out our ideas. Justin is so good at drawing. He drew the plans for our made up society. We came up with a name, what our people would look like, etc. After about two hours, we took a break. His mom brought us up some sodas and food. Mrs. Caroline makes the best lasagna. It is always so good! After we ate, we just sat there in silence until I spoke, "I want to ask you a question."
"Yeah, go ahead." He urged me to ask the question.
"It's about the other day." I said. I saw him straighten up from his laid-back position on the floor.
"Thought we wasn't going to talk anymore about that, like it never happened? You were the one who said it." He raised his voice slightly at me.
"What if I don't want to forget about it?" I said while looking down at my hands fiddling with a pencil I was currently holding.
"Really? What are you saying?" He questioned. His voice defiantly threw off that he was confused
"We didn't even get to talk about it. You rushed out so fast the other day. " I tell him.
"I was scared, okay? I wanted to kiss you so bad, but I did not want to ruin what we have here Alli. What we have is special, not many people have a friendship like we do." He admitted to me.
"So.. You wanted to kiss me?" I said but I did not want to look up and meet his eyes.
"Didn't I just say that Alli? I don't want to mess up what we have." He threw his hands up in the air and sighed.
"It will not mess up anything." I said.
"If we were together and we had a nasty break-up, yes it would." He stated. Yeah, I guess he is right!
"Can we just cross that bridge when we get there?" I asked.
He did not answer, so I got up from my position on his floor to walk out. I felt a strong hand pull me back by my elbow. He made me look up into those big green eyes of his. He pulled me closer, putting one of his hands underneath my chin. Our faces were currently inches apart. I hope it really happens this time. Justin hesitated this time. He looked nervous. Hell, I was nervous. This is my best friend that I am about to kiss. I am about to take a step with him that I cannot undo. I decided to close the gap, myself. My lips met his moving in perfect rhythm with his. We did not really let the kiss grow. We took it slow. I have no idea how long we stood there kissing. I felt his hands slide down to my waist and wrap themselves around. We finally broke apart both of us were a little breathless. I looked up into his eyes to see what they said about what just happened between the two of us. Would he be disappointed about it or would he be happy about it.
To Be continued..
