How many genres are there to choose from? Romance, Romantic Comedy, True Stories, Fiction, Historical Fiction, Fan Fiction, Science Fiction, Comedy, Drama, Mystery Thrillers, Horror, Fantasy, Spiritual or a combination of one or the other?
When I was younger, I liked reading fairytales. When I was in Grade School, I started reading Children's Classics. In Secondary School, I devoured Nancy Drew Mysteries and Love Stories from Mills and Boon and Barbara Cartland, books that were in vogue at that time.
In College, I started reading self help books in Psychology and Spirituality, especially, the Holy Bible and the Lives of the Saints. Then, I began my journey with many Mystery Thrillers. Later came the Trilogy of Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, then came Harry Potter and the Twilight Saga.
How did all those books shape my thoughts and attitudes? Did all those books turn me into a better person? My deep gratitude goes to all the authors who have contributed to the shaping of my imagination, the honing of my communication skills and the awakening of all that is good, beautiful and true.
