I changed something in the first chapter, but it's just a small edit. It's about Kaira, Izuna and Suki's Mangekyou Sharingan, but you'll come to know it soon enough, it's not very important.. Enjoy the chapter!
Kaira's POV.
How did they even know who I was? How did they know where I was? I never told my name and where I was from. Those bounty hunters shouldn't even know that I existed! The only one I ever told my name was... Sasuke.. He was also the only one who knew I wasn an Uchiha and was a member of the Akatsuki..
I looked to the right, and glared at Sasuke. ''You bastard! Did you-''
''I didn't do anything.'' Sasuke stated calmly. ''I never told anyone about you.''
My eyes widened. But if he didn't do it, then who did? Nobody from the Akatsuki would do such a thing, and I know for sure that everyone who saw my Sharingan was killed a second later.. Have I been careless? I clenched my fists and threw the sword back at Suigetsu, who was still trying to reform himself.
I couldn't fight Sasuke and those bounty hunters. Sasuke is already strong enough, and I knew I would get captured if I stayed here. I looked around me. Karin was very, very focused on Sasuke, and he was looking at me. Jugo knelt next to Suigetsu, asking him if he was alright.
I glared at Sasuke and took one step back, and his eyes narrowed. ''You aren't going anywhere.''
Madara's POV.
Just after the boulder rolled aside, I left the hideout. I knew Suki was the most clumsy one, she inherited that from her mother, but I never thought Kaira would be the one to get in trouble. She was smart, and very observant. She did much research, and I knew she knew already much about Sasuke and his team now, but why is she encountering him again and again? She doesn't know I always send Zetsu after her to keep an eye on her. Only this time I didn't sent Zetsu, because I thought she would be a good girl and complete the mission without any distractions.
Sasuke is stronger than Suki, that's for sure. Suki had never really been the fighting type, and delved into medical jutsu. Of course I am glad that Kaira managed to free her, but Kaira should have gone with Suki back to the base. Kaira isn't someone who is defeated easily, only by shinobi who are more powerful than her, but Sasuke is equal to her, so he wouldn't be able to get her that easily. Did she stay behind in purpose? To fight Sasuke?
I know I told Kaira to eliminate him if she ever saw him again, but she doesn't really listen to me, since Sasuke is still alive. She's normally very obedient.. But I'm glad she kept him alive. Sasuke would be a perfect replacement for Itachi. He'll die soon, considering his illness. Sasuke's still young, and already very skilled. He'll be a great asset to the Akatsuki...
Kaira's POV.
I felt Sasuke's eyes on me every now and then as we fought the bounty hunters. He was probably keeping an eye on me, making sure I couldn't sneak away unseen whenever I had the chance. It's not like I had the chance to get away now anyway, I was already busy enough with fighting the bounty hunters.
The bounty hunters weren't that strong, there were just so many of them. They had immediately attacked me the second they saw me. In the beginning, Sasuke was just watching me fighting them, but he later joined the fight. I guess he was helping me just so that I wouldn't be taken away by the bounty hunters. They both wanted to take me with them, one for money and one for information. So in fact, I was fighting for myself, while the others were fighting over me.
My arm was still hurting from when Sasuke had twisted it, but I kept fighting. I could have fought with Suigetsu's sword easily, but I preferred a smaller blade. With a katana, you can kill people quiker and you make make faster movements. But since I left the base in a hurry, I left my katana at home, so now I was fighting with a kunai.
Those bounty bastards didn't even give me the time to do some hand seals, so I couldn't do any techniques. But since those guys already knew I was an Uchiha, I had already activated my Sharingan, but just my Sharingan, not the Mangekyou. I would still need my eyes for the rest of my life and I didn't want to turn blind just yet.
I was able to put some guys under a genjutsu, but most of them were smart enough to know not to look into my eyes. I've never seen so many bounty hunters in one place, were they all after me?
I hissed in pain when I got kicked against my left shoulder, that was already bruised because Sasuke twisted it. I pushed the kunai I was fighting with in his throat and kicked his body away. I easily blocked a kick from another ninja and punched him in his face.
I was surrounded, and I knew there was no way that I could defend myself from all the attacks at the same time. I growled and decided to activate my Mangekyou Sharingan after all.
Sasuke's POV.
I looked up when I heard many screams and my eyes narrowed when I saw a grey Susanoo. Kaira was mercilessly killing all the bounty hunters as the Susanoo's sword sliced them. She had activated the Mangekyou Sharingan..
I know I had seen her Mangekyou before, but I kept wondering how she got these. Did she, just like Itachi, kill someone she cared about? Someone close to her?
And in a few seconds already, most of the bounty hunters were killed. They were obviously not working together, so I assumed they weren't comrades. Why did so many bounty hunters come, and why all at the same time? Is there so much ryou bounty on Kaira's head?
Kaira suddenly froze, and I saw her clench her jaw. My eyes narrowed when her Susanoo slowly disappeared. What was she doing? There were still bounty hunters left..
Kaira's POV.
I stiffened when I sensed his chakra. He will be pissed once he finds out that I decided to face Sasuke and his team alone and that I have some bounty hunters after me. I deactivated the Mangekyou Sharingan and my Susanoo slowly faded away.
My eyes was bleeding and my body was aching. The guys were now keeping distance, but they were hesitating if they should continue to attack me or not, after seeing what I was capable of, but what I showed them wasn't all I could do.
I closed my eyes when I knew he was almost here.
''This chakra..'' I looked over my shoulder and saw Karin with widened eyes. ''It's incredible.. so strong..''
''You messed up, Kaira.'' spoke his smooth voice, but could clearly hear at his tone that he was annoyed.
I looked back, and saw dad standing a few metres away from me. The bodies of the ninjas who were just alive a second ago, who survived my Susanoo, were now lying lifeless on the ground. I heard Sasuke draw his katana, and looked at him from the corners of my eyes and I took a kunai out of my pouch.
''What? You aren't going to tell me what happened?'' Dad asked as he approached me.
I kept glaring at Sasuke, and dad noticed my glare. He chuckled, obviously amused, and I raised an eyebrow at him. There was nothing to laugh about.. ''And I thought you two were best friends..'' he murmured.
My eyes widened and I clenched my jaw.. Don't tell me he.. ad looked down at me with a raised eyebrow. ''What is it? Did you really think I didn't know? I know everything that happens.''
I grunted and clenched my fists. I bet he let Zetsu spy on me.. I can't believe I didn't notice it.. but it didn't matter anymore... ''I don't care, and we're not friends, especially not best friends.'' I spat.
Dad sighed and looked around him, looking slightly bored. ''I see you were able to take out may of them, but remind me to have a little talk to you back home..''
I looked at the ground and clenched my jaw. I looked at Sasuke again when I heard him move, but he wasn't there anymore. I quickly looked around me, and blocked his katana with my kunai as he tried to slice me. My eyes still hurt, and so did my shoulder and the rest of my body, but I tried to ignore then pain.
Sasuke's blood red eyes glared at me as he pushed his katana closer to my face, knowing I was weakened due using Susanoo. ''I'll ask you one more time.. Where is Itachi?!''
I didn't answer his questioned, I already answered it many times enough. I wouldn't tell him a single thing about Itachi.
Sasuke growled and I did a hand seal with one hand, because the other one was occupied with holding Sasuke's katana away from my face, but before any of us could do anything, Sasuke was pushed away and I was pulled back. I looked over my shoulder and saw dad looking down at me. ''We have to go, Kaira.'' he grunted. ''We don't have time to fight the brat.''
I frowned at him and put my kunai away. ''But you told me th-'' ''You can finish your fight at a different time, remember that Sasuke isn't the most important thing at the moment..''
I looked away from him, and nodded. Dad told me to kill Sasuke, and now I finally want to kill him,but he stops me. I'm not sure if I could defeat him in my current condition, because of my shoulder, eyes and chakra, so maybe it was better this way. And dad was right. Mom is more important now..
''What are you going to do?'' Sasuke asked lowly. ''Running away now that I finally have the chance to win? That isn't very fair...''
I glared at him. ''I don't play fair, I play to win, not matter what.. but believe me, if Madara didn't came, I would have fought you regardless my condition.''
Dad put his hand in his pouch, and Sasuke clenched his jaw and began to run at us, but he was already too late.. Dad took out a smoke bomb and threw it at the ground. And now that we had the chance to run away unseen, we left Sasuke and his team behind and went back home..
