CHAPTER 43 : TOLD YOU SO
ISABELLA'S POV
"So will you tell me now what you wanna say?" Marvin asks as soon as we reach the venue.
"Calm down, I'll tell you " I say , smiling at him
" Do you know that your smile is contagious?" He winked
Lies lies lies
And I fake smiled yet again .
"Let's sit and order something delicious first "
" Sure . So is this like our 3rd date ?"
" If you want it to be " I say
" Why would I not ? " he beams
As we order something for ourselves , I see Chris seating just across from us with the same red head who's name apparently turned out to be Daisy, both were disguised ' according to Chris' i.e they wore caps and goggles , phew!
They were not in the eye sight of Marvin , which was a good thing but they could see us clearly.
"So Schwarma , confirm?"
" Yes " I said
After our meals arrived, he insisted on why we were here in the first place .
Bell , acting mode On
" Look , so now we have known each other quite a bit and we also went on a few dates "
" We also kissed " he added
" Yeah " , I f**king regret it
You used the F word !
He deserves it!
" So what were you saying ?"
" I just wanted to spend time with
you " I say , kinda seductively
That was seductive ? Lol
"Did the sun rose from the west today ?" he smirks
I fake a chuckle .
Just then our food arrives and we start eating it almost silence .
"I also wanted to confess something "
" Yeah , go ahead"
"Mm , we have known each other for quiet a bit but then again ,
I feel this special connection between us"
"You do? I do too!" , he exclaimes
Liar , Liar , pants of fire !
" That's so good to hear . So I was thinking " I say , trying to act nervous
He keeps his hand on mine and says , "What were you thinking ?"
"To take it to next level "
"Are you asking me to be your boyfriend ?"
"If you want ?"
"I'd be an idiot if I didn't" he says and smiles while looking at me
I flash him yet another smile ,
when in reality all I wanna do is strangle him !
From the corner of my eye , I see Daisy almost getting up ,
ready to start World War 3 but Chris is supposedly calming her down .
"Let's leave this place " I suggest
"Sure . Waiter ! Bill please "
I am surprised he used the word 'please' ...
After few seconds , the waiter comes and hands him the bill for which he uses his credit card .
Just then , Chris shows up at the table .
"Hey Bella"
"Hey Chris , what are you doing here?"
"I was just picking some food "
"Oh okay . Marvin , you know Christian , right ?"
"Yaa I know " Marvin acknowledges his presence
"Actually Bella , I needed a small
help "
"Yaa?"
"I ordered food but then I realised I forgot my wallet in my room "
"Oh Okay ! We'll give you money "
"That would be great , I'll pay you back later"
"Yaa no problem " I reply and then turn to Marvin ,
"Boyfriend , will you pay right now ?" I ask him
"Boyfriend ?" Chris asks , his acting om point
"Yes , she is my girlfriend now and anything for her" he tells Chris and then turns to the waiter ,
"Here ! His bill is on me "
"Are you sure , sir?"
"Yes"
"Okay "
The waiter hands him the transaction bill and I mutter a thanks to Marvin .
"Let's go " I say and Marvin takes his credit card back and we leave the restaurant .
He sees the receipt and whisper yells , " 150$ !"
"What happened?"
"Your friend ordered food worth 150$ !! "
"Chris?"
"Yes Christian! "
"He'll pay you back"
"He should " Marvin says and then takes my hand .
Just like that day , he pulls me close and I do all it takes to refrain myself from pushing him away .
As if the proximity isn't enough for him , his gaze travels from my eyes to my lips .
"I'm going to kiss those delicious lips " he whispers and just as he leans forward , I raise my thigh n it hits his groin !
"What the f**k?!"
"There's more !" I say and Daisy appears from behind ,
"Hi Marvin!" she says , hatred clear in her voice
"Daisy ? What are you doing here?" He asks casually
She walks upfront and bashes him !
" This is what I'm doing here!" She yells
"You f**king bastard , cheating on both of them ! Do you even have a little shame ?" Chris shouts , his tone angry .
Marvin just looks away !
"At least apologize!" Chris yells
" I was having the time of my life if only you both hadn't found out" ,
he mumbles but since I was close , I could hear it clearly
"What did you say ?" Daisy asks
"I said , it's over between us " Marvin says
"Who the f**k are you to say that ? Daisy and me ended whatever it is !"
Chris suddenly holds both of Marvin's hands and says ,
"Ladies , hit him all you want "
Daisy steps forward and takes all her frustration out on him .
"I will never be able to trust anyone because of you!" she screams at him , tears forming in her eyes .
After Marvin successes in escaping from Chris's grip , he walks away , more like runs away , his cheeks now red .
"I'm sorry , I didn't believe you" ,
Daisy says and the next thing I know is she's crying .
I try my best to soothe her .
"Don't let him or someone like him destroy the idea of love for you . There's still that special person out there who needs your love just as much as you need his "
She nods and then pulls apart .
"Chris will drop us back home " I say and she agrees.
We take the food parcel and then drop Daisy back to her house .
Then we proceed towards orphanage to provide them a feast for today .
'Veg Biryani ' and 'Chicken Biryani' and yes , we are not paying Marvin back .
The kids' happy faces made our day and now the only thing left for me to do is make things right between Ro and me !
But I know it's not going to be something which can be referred as
' Easy peezy ' .

I knock at Ro's room and Fed answers the door .
"Isabella ?"
"Is Royal here ?"
"No , he just went for a walk"
"Did he leave his phone here ?"
"Yeah he did "
That explains why he wasn't picking my calls .
Who are you kidding? Even if he had his phone, he wouldn't have answered your calls!
"Oh okay , will you tell him that I stopped by ?"
"Sure"
"Thanks"
" No problem "
I descend a few stairs , but then
I think this is important so I decide to stay back .
I text Chris ,
'You sleep , I think I'll be late'
' Okay , but why ?'
I'm telling you , this guy is 24/7 online !
'Royal' I type and I need not to say any further
'Alright'
30 minutes have already passed since I got here but no sight of Royal !

I see a familiar face with kind of blurred vision .
I try to focus more on that , only to find that beautiful face belongs to my best friend and he's kind of breathing heavily .
He's carrying you , what else do you expect ?
Then I am being dropped on something soft.
"You should have let her in" I hear Ro say
"I did . But then I thought she went back to her dorm" Fed replies
"Apparently she waited outside "
"You are awake??" Ro asks me
"I fell asleep , didn't I ?" I mumbled
"Go back to sleep" He says
"Okay" I yawn and turn around .
Wait a minute !
I sit up straight instantly .
"She's up " Fed says and then Ro turns to me
"Now what ?"
"Sorry"
"I asked , now what ? "
"I heard you the first time" I say
"Then ?"
"I said I am sorry"
" I heard you the first time " he sighs
" Then ?"
"Then we'll talk tomorrow about it "
"I wanna talk like right now"
He gulps and says ,
" Fed can you please give us a minute ?"
"Sure .Good to know you'll just be talking and not "
'"Fedrick!"
"I'm leaving , make it quick though " he says and leaves .
"So?" Ro asks
"You can say 'I told you so' "
"About?"
"You were right about Marvin"
"What happened?"
"Her name's Daisy . He was dating both of us simultaneously "
" So you magically believed me or something happened?"
" I caught him when he was meeting her at the park earlier today"
"I was going to smash him in the morning itself but he left in the car
so I couldn't .
That's why I came to you but guess what ? You had faith in him more than you have in me , am I right ?"
"Royal you and I both know that's not what it is . I just didn't believe he could do something like that "
"Yaa right . How can he ? After all , I'm the bad person here , aren't I?"
" I know you are upset and mad at me because of various things that happened between us but "
"Go ahead , I'm listening" he says casually as if whatever's happening is not affecting him at all
"Please don't do this" I plea
"What am I doing exactly?"
" It's not easy for me "
"You think it's easy for me ?" he says sternly and turns around
"I know it's not but .. " my voice cracked
I seem to have no energy dealing with this situation anymore .
I tried to control the whole freaking day ,
the tears which were threatening to fall down .
I refrained them from doing so ,
but now I no longer could !
"Izzy , please don't tell me you're crying! " he whispers and instantly turns towards me .
He sits beside me and wraps his arms around me , while I wet his already sweaty shirt .
"I'm sorry Ro , I should have listened to you " I say , my voice still cracking
"Shush , it's alright "
"No , it's not "
"Calm down and tell me what happened . How are you feeling ?"
"Cheated "
"You really liked him ?"
I shaked my head and he sighed in relief .
"Then?"
"It's just that whatever happened , was never reciprocated .
It was all an act and all he cared about was having fun .
We kissed and at that time he had a freaking girlfriend . I was equally at fault "
"But you didn't know that so it's not your fault at all"
"Worst of all , I even let him weaken our bond "
"How many times should I remind you , nothing can come in between our bond ?" he says and makes me smile
"You know what ?"
"What ?"
"We taught him a lesson "
"You did ?"
"Yes , me , Chris and Daisy .
We spent his money on a good deed and we actually hit him "
"That's my girl. You feeling better?"
"Now I am " saying that , we continue to stare into each other's eye .
I know I should just look away but
I feel like I'm being drawn towards it .
It's like a force that even gravity cannot beat !

I recalled that awesome song
