I made my way towards the living room, my idiots of brothers won't lower the goddamn volume of their video game "Can you lower the volume!" I yelled "Someone's grumpy." Gregg joked as I grab the remote ignoring their complains, I push the minus button. I took a seat beside Keithie, I scroll down Instagram seeing the post of my so called friends in Bahamas. I can't wait to go to Milan. I been modelling for years now especially for my mom's fashion line, and different designers now have made a contact with me to be the ambassador of their clothing

Dad keep yelling on his phone talking with a colleague of his, but he soon ended the call "Whats up, guys." Dad sat down the sofa with a box of old game "Greggie, Keithie, Cali ever heard of a game called shoots and ladder." He continues with explaining the whole game "Yeah, and what happens?the winner gets a training bra?" Gregg chuckled "Yeah, Dad, that game sounds like it sucks." Keithie added glancing at his father "Oh yeah, I saw that in my school, the losers play it during class."

"No, I'm telling you, this was the great game. Me and my buddies would play it on a winter day. We'd go down in the basement, drink hot chocolate." Dad puts down the board "I wouldn't mine a hot chocolate right now." Kiethie pointed out "Hey, Rita!" Keithie exclaimed "Rita!"

"You gotta text her. She's doing laundry." I said before going back to my phone as the other home phone started ringing "Hey, Dad, we were at the Spielberg's house yesterday." Gregg started, meanwhile, Keithie took out his phone "Oh, and can you tell her to make me some tea too." I nudge my younger brother "They have a 150-inch Tv. Can we get one of those?" Gregg questioned still focus on his game "When you direct E.T. I'll get one of those."

Beg for mercy

Dad glances at the game playing on the Tv "What is the object here? I don't get it." Dad frowns as he examine the violent killing taking place in the game "You're on a cruise ship a-and you chop people's head off with a chain saw?" He questioned, his eyes shifted to his sons "oh, and you can drown them." Keithie looked up from his phone

"Oh, you can drown them. Okay, now I get it." Dad quietly clasps his hand together "Can somebody answer the phone?" The phone keeps ringing "Maybe I should get some chamomile for my throat too." Keithie snaps his fingers

"Stop texting the nanny. You know how gross that is for a kid to text his nanny? Just go walk down the hallway."

"It's just texting. You text everybody." I rolled my eyes "I text people for my job so I can make money to pay your texting."

"Okay, I got everything for you, guys." Rita walked in with a tray of drinks in her hand "Finally." I scoff "Who was that on the phone, Rita?" Dad questioned "I'm sorry, Mr. Feder, I don't know. Becky answered." Rita explained as she hands us our drink "Okay, okay. Thanks for making that."

"Oh, my god, Rita. This isn't Godiva. What are you, trying to poison me!"  Gregg complains putting the cup back the tray "And you got me the wrong tea."

"Good lord, go back to texting." Dad stood up up "I don't ever wanna hear that out loud again." But as soon as he stood up, his eyes watched as the car is in the backyard, crashing at the patio "What the heck's going on out there?"

"Oh, my god." Everyone ran outside as Becky exited the car running towards Dad "I didn't mean to. It was an accident." Becky explained "I don't care. Are you alright? What the heck were you doing?" Dad ask "I was trying to use the Navy."

"The Navy? What's the Navy?" Dad frowns "The Navy in the car to ask it a question." Becky answered "You mean the navigation system, idiot." Keithie corrected "Shh. Keithie, relax."

"Some man called. He said your turned Coach Buzzer, went to heaven." "I was trying to find heaven for you on the Navy station so you could go visit him." Becky stated "Yikes."

"Who's your friend, Dad?"

"Uh, Coach Buzzer was someone very special in Daddy's life." "It's terrible." Dad sighs

"Okay, go drink some hot chocolate with these guys."

I sat down the dining room with my siblings and grandma as we stared at the awful food, as much as Dad likes to cook his food taste like shit

As Mom arrived from work, Dad finish up his conversation with someone over the phone "Hey, is something wrong?" Mom turned her gaze to Dad "Yeah, it'll be alright. I'll talk to you about it later." Dad said as he is dress in his apron and oven mitts

"Hey, hey. I made the pumpkin risotto that we saw on Rachel Ray's "Seasons of Summer" special." Dad proudly smiled "It's awful mom." Charlotte spoke "it taste like roadkill." Andre added "I feel like I'm gonna be sick." I continued

"Deanne, do you hear how they talk to me? Do you hear how—?" Dad broke down "You gotta say something."

"Alright, kids. Now, you know your father works very hard at keeping this house clean and putting three meals on the table for us every day." Mom stated "Hello?"

"Besides...."

"I bought us a pizza." Mom announces causing my younger siblings to cheer "You know what? Fine. Have your pizza. Have your pizza." Dad throws his oven mitts at the counter "You broke my heart." He cries walking out of the kitchen "Looks like it's his time of the month again."

I applied my lip gloss with a small pocket mirror I always bring, I'm dress in an all black outfit and a black heels with a Versace sunglasses. I try to remember that it's just gonna be a day and we will be off to Milan, just one day

The car stopped in front of a white talk chapel "Okay, guys, let's try to act normal in there." Dad spoke taking his sunglasses off  "What's wrong with your sunglasses?" Mom questioned "I don't want any reason for these guys to call me—" But before he could finish a man standing in front of the chapel yelled "Hollywood!"

We exited the car as I stood beside my siblings "Hey. Look at that, Kurt Mckenzie." I didn't bother to socialize as I find my Instagram more interesting "Honey, No phone." Mom whispered "The ceremony isn't even starting." I groan in annoyance but gave up and put my phone away

A pregnant looking woman, who I assume is Dad's friend's wife walked up to mom and started talking with her. I looked around the unfamiliar place but as my gaze landed on him, I slightly pushed my sunglasses down my nose, His tall figure stood by two younger kids, his very good looking

I didn't even realize that I have been staring for so long, he caught me, he chuckled. His smile could melt any girl's heart as it is already melting mine, maybe one day won't be so bad. I bit my bottom lip and gave him a small wave

Gregg's phone started ringing as Keithie started dancing to the ringtone "Whoah. Didn't I tell you to turn the phone off there, Greg?" Dad turned to the oldest brother "Yeah, but it's my massage therapist." Gregg responded "What? No, no. No cell phones." Dad said

"Wait, no cell phones? The. I'm out of here." A blonde male interrupted "Higgie." Dad smiled "Who's ready to get their funeral on?" The blonde man started dancing

"Is it just me but Dad's friends are weird." I whispered to my brothers "No, they pretty much are." Keithie answered "Who's this pretty little miss." The blonde man turn to me "She's my daughter and she's 17." "Stay away."

"I'm Sorry, death makes me weird."

A caddy pulled up "Hey, now." The man who drives the car greeted "Ha, ha!"

"Lamonsoff. Rolling up in a Caddy?" Dad smiled "That's how we do it."

"I asked Dad to buy a Caddy but he didn't say anything." I scoff "Honey, you haven't gotten your driver license yet." Mom frowns "Oh, yeah, forgot about that." I chuckled

After greeting each other, we all walked to the entrance, a short man with some kind of weird Elvis hair style walked up to Dad and his friends "Hey."

"Hey, Uh, Roxanne." Dad called Mom "Rememver Rob, the guy I always tell you about? Rob?" Mom walked up to them "Of course." Mom spoke "The kid who didn't hit puberty till he was 19, right?" Mom said

an old woman who look likes in her late 80s walked up to the man, after they exchange a few words with the old woman, Her and Rob started making out in a weird way, with their tongues out  "Could this day get any weirder." I muttered "It will." A figure stood beside me, I looked to my side, wanting to know the identity of the owner of the voice. His the boy from earlier "I'm Shawn." He smiled, as he put his hand out for me to shake "Cali." I smiled back, shaking his hand "I saw you checking me out earlier." He smirk "I wasn't, don't get cocky." I playfully replied "The lip bite and flirty wave?" He chuckles

"I don't know." I took off my sunglasses "I'll see you later." I said before walking up to my parents

The ceremony started "Coach Robert 'The Buzzer' Ferdinand, was a caretaker by profession. What a wonderful word to describe
his devotion to his fellow man. He truly took care. When Robert knew that his time was short......he told me there was one specific man he wanted......to say a few words to memorialize him.So I'd like to ask Lenny Feder to come up now."

Dad stood up from his seat, walking towards the steps that is covered with a red carpet "I'm sorry, I'm not prepared at all. I feel very honored...... that coach asked me to do this, but...I also feel terrible because I haven't seen the coach in so long. And he always wanted me to come
to town and see him...and I got caught up
in what I've been doing and I regret it.I understand that the St. Mark's team
of 1978......was the only championship team
that the coach ever had......and that's very impressive, I gotta say......judging from the talent
we had to offer. I mean, believe it or not......Robbie and Marcus were actually shorter back in 1978."

"Yeah, but those guys had a skull you never mastered. They knew how to pass the ball." Eric Lamonsoff spoke causing the whole room to fill with laughter

"Looks like somebody has to learn how to pass the Kentucky fried chicken." Dad shot back while the crowd burst out laughing "I'm kidding, I'm kidding."

"We're saying goodbye to a big part
of our lives. All of us. You affected everybody in this room. And I hope we get to live our lives like you. Have no regrets when life's final buzzer sounds. So let's all bow our heads in silence." Dad finish off as everyone bow down their heads

After the speech, Rob Hilliard insisted on singing for the late Coach, which by the way wasn't a very good idea, as he put so much action with it too, Dad and his friends tries to hold their laughter as to the end, Marcus Higgins imitates a buzzer sound as the laughter that was hold for a long time finally bust

"Grow up, will you?"

I silently sat down the chair at one of the tables with my chocolate cake "Hey, gorgeous." Shawn took the empty seat beside me "Aww, did you just call me gorgeous." I scoff "A lot of guys have told me that before." I added "We'll you are though." He smiled "Your average, I guess." I joked "I'm the most good looking guy here." Shawn smiled

"Eh." I tease "I am." He continues "I mean your cute." I muttered under my breath but it was loud enough for him to hear "So, you think I'm cute?" He smirks "I didn't say anything." I lied "I heard you."

I cut the cake with my fork as I pop another piece in my mouth "You have something." Shawn frowns as his hands reach for my cheeks but his finger was filled with icing as he wipe it all over my nose "This is how you wanna do it." I scoff, taking an icing from my cake and tries to take revenge "Hey!" He chuckled as I got the icing in his cheeks "You started it." I smiled

We made a truce as we started to clean our self up "Here, let me help you." Shawn took a clean napkin as he gently wipes the icing from my nose "Thanks." I looked up to meet his eyes "They're staring." He whispered "Who?" I ask "Our dads"

"Let's go." I rolled my eyes as I glance behind me, as he intertwined our hands together walking towards the small gazebo, we're the moms are seated. We stop in our tracks at the sight of Sally Lamonsoff breastfeeding her 4 year old son "This day very interesting." Shawn frowns
