"why are you here alone- here," Junmyeon said as he placed a cooled coffee can onto the side of the small round table that was located next to Jennie. she was outside on the patio while his parents and her mother catch up on their life. he sat on the small couch swing of where she was sitting, gently rocking back and forth until he came.
he opened up his own can and took a big gulp of it, "it's nice here! it's been a while since I have last seen Seoul, how is it for you here?" he turned to catch her looking at him.
she laid her eyes on the tree that was supposed to be a plum tree but yet it has never grown, she smiled thinking of the lovely things within Seoul, "It's home to me, I feel at ease walking to small restaurants with my mom."
he throws a cheeky grin on, "you seem to be close with your mother, don't you have any friends other than him?" relating to Jungkook.
she raised her brows, "you know him?" she asked while he nodded, "yes, everyone knows what he did to you. I remember seeing him twice before my parents took me aboard, I could still remember his malicious eyes.." he responded as she looked away again.
"I can understand why he was acting such to me. Although he was always a mysterious guy, I don't know why I always seem to always be fond of him that way." she glared up to the shinning sky of the bright moon that stood beautiful in her eyes.
he follows along with her stares and smirks, "isn't it doleful that we could meet so many people in our eyes but yet only one stood out in our heart?"
the words grabbed onto Jennie's emotion and she couldn't help but put her eyes onto him again, finally, he wasn't being flirtatious or playful with her. she took in how much he had changed with just this one question of his, it makes her wonder if he was also going through the same thing as her.
"don't stare at me too long, you'll change your heart if you look long enough," he said in tease as she quickly lost her sight on his sharp yet slim side profile that took of a prince charming.

Jennie sat in class as Mr. Wang gives out the same lecture as Ms. Park. she was placed next to Junmyeon, an ace transfer student who only took a week to climb up to the top five of all the twelfth graders. although he wasn't listening or taking notes within the lecture, he was able to get perfect scores on his exams. it was pretty understandable that he took his skills from studying abroad and applied them to the subject in Seoul.
"Jennie and Junmyeon, stay after, I want to talk to you guys as for the rest, make sure your homework is finished by tomorrow and sign the field trip slips for the leadership camping trip, I expect all of you to go since you will learn a lot on it!" he announced, closing his textbook as the bell ringed right behind his finished class for today.
"yah, aren't you going to tutor session? let's go together!" Junmyeon excitement brought a smile up to her face as they weren't aware of Mr. Wang standing there, waiting for them to finish packing.
"Jennie,-" Mr. Wang asked as he brought his eyes onto her while she got up to listen, "Ms. Park still wants you to attend the tutor session for your assigned student, don't miss it!" he announced as she nodded, "yes, I understand," she thought before Jungkook came into her mind.
"Junmyeon-" Mr. Wang continues as a yes quickly reply before he could continue, "I'm also recommending you to help Ms. Park so you better behave and do well on tutoring- you guys are dismissed" he waved at them as they bow greet their goodbyes and left the room.
Jennie took quick steps as she was afraid to be late again for the session. he quickly followed her by skipping until he tapped her shoulder for her to stop, "let's hold hands" he showed out his hand to her side thighs, she looked down, "why?" she knitted her brows.
"because you're going too fast and I can't catch up to hold my hands and drag me there" he cheeky smiled at her, feeling the back of his neck where his hair ends.
she hid her hands behind her lower back scooting back, "why would I drag you there? it's not like I asked you to go-" she exclaimed ghastly before she took a run, chuckling away before he caught onto chasing her to the library. he was dumbfounded, not knowing she would trick him just like that.
"Jennie! wait for me- I'm tired!" he whined like an old grandpa before turning the hall, coming upon a pair of love birds. the guy holding the girl in his well-built arm. he hovered over her with his leg spread open as she has bumped into him without being cautious. she locked her chest with a cross given from both of her arms as she intensively stare up at the dark-eyed guy.
Jungkook traced the hall to why she was running only to see Junmyeon panting at the end of it, watching them. he glared back at her and held her up, "be careful next time," he stated to her firmly as she stood there in luck to not have hurt herself.
she watches him as he quickly entered the library followed by the footstep of Junmyeon approaching the blanking Jennie. "what happen? did you fall?" he went down on one of his knees and checked both of her uninjured legs.
she scooted away, "no, I just forgot to look out and accidentally bump into him." she explained while he got up with a smile, "let's go in" he replied, didn't want to force her to explain anything further.
"Jennie!" Ms. Park raised her hand for her attention, indicating her to come over before anything else. Junmyeon followed, scanning the library room to see just four students including them both there. only this much? he has to question himself before stopping behind her to wait for Ms. Park's instruction.
"are you Junmyeon?" she asked as Jennie revealed him from behind by also looking at him, who already seem comfortable. "yes" he nodded with a big grin. "well welcome to the tutoring session, since there aren't many people here, I'll assign you to students and you'll just have to help tutor them- you can also do your own homework and ask for help when needed, alright?" she informed both of them and they quickly nodded in understanding.
"Jennie, you're still with Jeon Jungkook, he seems to be grumpy today so please help him get some of his study done" he mumble to her as she scanned the room to see Jungkook all the way towards the back of the small library.
"and Junmyeon, Bae Joohyun just needed help with her writing today, she's behind the library shelf looking for references so please help her on writing."
after they have got the instruction from Ms. Park, they both went to their assigned student.
when Jennie approached Jungkook, she notice his head resting on top of the wooden studying, library, desk. he had one of his hand's layouts parallel to his sleeping structure. no wonder why he choose this place to sit, it was quite dark and settle to sleep in.
"ahem ahem" she said as she took off her backpack and sat right next to him. he slowly made his eyes open to see Jennie there, "get out," he said as he switched his head to the other side and continue his nap.
"Ms. Park said that you need help with studying for the exam, so let's work on that" she sighed out of his dejection. she got up from his side and switch to sit, facing him instead. "and who said I was going to take the exam?" he responded lazily with a low low voice of tone.
she kicked the table twice with the tip of her sneaker before it made him sit up from his posture, "hurry up, take your textbook out" she declared as he combed his hair back a couple of times, in annoyance, before looking away from her.
if this wasn't him wanting to repay her back for being such a bully to her, he wouldn't even dare listen to her. he snatch his backpack on the side took out the messed up textbook, and puts it in front of him as she sneaks in a sly smile. he was so cute being grumpy.
"why are you like that?" he caught on to the pretty smile that makes her cheeks go up in a two-round, cute, bumps. "hm?" she loses her smile, "nothing-"
"do you still... like me?" the question poured out as they manage to gaze at one another. of all a sudden, he was being serious and straight forward. she laughed it off, "ehhh, stop joking, let's start on page 352-"
"do you still like me?" he repeated, grabbing her glare back at him, unsure if he was joking or not. but he wasn't, he was serious this time for asking her since he know she has had a crush on him ever since middle school.
or maybe the thought of her with someone else makes him realize that he can't let her like someone else if it's not him.
she gulped down her nervousness, her crush was now asking if she likes him. it can't be real isn't it? after all these years, he finally got the balls to ask that questions. but what if she said yes? does that mean it'll give him a reason to revenge her for the grudges between her mother and him? and what if she said no? will he stop coming to school and seeing her? she didn't want that also.
"Jennie, Jungkook" Ms. Park called out while she walked towards them. Jungkook felt the back of his neck as it sweats and Jennie pretends to open up her textbook. "yes?" Jennie responded as he also looked up at the teacher.
"Make sure to go on the field trip next week! Get your applications in by tomorrow because it will be fun! I just wanted to remind you guys about it" Ms. Park reported to them, noticing that something wasn't right between them as they were unable to share the same atmosphere but she thought it was probably because of the hard studying.
"Yes" Jennie said as she walked back to her seat. she turned to see him already staring because getting caught by her. "you're going?"
"of course, the teacher said it'll be fun! I want to go and at least get some experiences." Jennie shrugged off, knowing she was lying. she didn't want to go because half of the students hates her but because of the teachers, she wanted to fulfill their orders.
"so.. that question earlier" he gently rub the back of his neck while looking down on the surface of the wooden table, "forget about it- pretend like I didn't ask you anything"
she looked at how foolish he is feeling for himself and couldn't help but stare him down. she was curious as to why he asked that question but yet that was none of her business to know since they're nothing but siblings.
